Interesting thread! I haven't actually sat down and labeled a song for myself in the past, but it's definitely true that at different times, certain songs or just lines will really speak to me and express so perfectly how I'm feeling.
This time of year, it's Fireflies. I'm spending so much time with my family and my oldest friends, and with age those relationships seem to become more complicated, but also more rewarding. I end up spending a lot of time thinking about what it is to be part of a group, and evaluating those relationships, the costs of staying in them, the value I derive from them.

I'm gonna go with "Oh Well" since we aren't locked into "Rumours" era only on this one.

The lyrics just kind of sum up how I feel about things. I'm an honest person, sometimes too honest or brutally so and those lyrics by Peter Green have just always resonated very deeply with me.

There was a time when "Freedom" and "Love Is Dangerous" both summed up what was going on with me too, but not now.

Lindsey's whole "Out of the Cradle" CD just slammed me in the face when it came out!! It was a tough period for me and the whole CD helped me through it immensely. Really helped me move forward from a not so great place in life back then. Lots of postive vibes on that CD and every time I hear it it lifts me up, even if I don't need it.

Thanks for starting this thread!! Very cool idea and topic.

Hmmm, I wonder what they were up to in that living room...

OK, now you got me thinking. Now, I keep on thinking about Nightbird cause I have been in a tough time lately, but it's nice to know that there's somebody looking over me.

During 1997, when THE DANCE was released and I could go to a Mac concert for my very first time, I was so "you could be my silver spring".

Before that, in my early 90s, I was Everybody's trying to say I'm wrong
I just wanna be back where I belong... World turning... I need somebody to help me thru the night

Right now I'm far better emotionally and in the mood of "I wanna be with you everywhere..."

Most of the time, I feel like I am waiting for a certain sequence of events to occur. I find that "Twist of Fate" summarizes me most days.

When I think of my childhood and home, "Gypsy" is the first thing that comes to mind.

Mine is Miranda. I don't often find Mac songs describing myself or my situations, but Miranda reminds me of my self-destructive tendencies and desire for escapism, instead of confronting my problems in a useful way.

Destiny Rules describes my current romatic situation, or lack thereof, unfortunately... :o

Right now I wish it was "You Make Make Lovin' Fun" or "Love in Store," but alas, it's more like "Peacekeeper."

"Take your time, don't be afraid to fight."

My life's Stevie song would have to be Sorcerer, same as Chris.

"I'm tired
I'm thirsty
I'm wild-eyed
In my misery
Timeless in your finery
It's a high price
For your luxury"

THIS.

It might sound kind of lazy of me, but seriously, I just worked an 11 hour shift, and I worked way too hard for what I actually make. Ridiculous.
& then the drive home was an hour long because I was in the middle of an effin' 'Snow Dream.'

I'm So Afraid, Silver Springs, Storms, and Red Rover (in any order) pretty much sum it all up for me.

Temporary One. It has been for about a year and a half, now.

A girl in trouble is a temporary thing.

FM...probably nothing.
Stevie...Real Tears (demo or unreleased whatever) and Lindsey's You Do or You Don't. Both really, really "speak to me" and huge chunks of my life.
