My tattoo artist based his work on the album art from the White Album. I brought the vinyl in and he photocopied, but here is a scan for referrence...

And here's the finished product....

My artist just made a few small changes, to get the best tattoo out of it...ie. colored in the walking stick so it would look better in 15 years, skipped a few of the really fine lines/details. But I'm absolutely in love with it. This was my college grad present from my sisters, so not only does this remind me of my love of the Mac and the strength their music gives me, but also my sisters.

I have my next tattoo booked for May 2010. It will be Stevie's lyric from "Love Is" that means a lot to me..."Love is...what you believe it is" on my arm in my own writting. I'll be sure to post pictures when it's done.

Feel free to share any pictures or stories of your Mac-related tattoos here.

my stevie tatoos are in the stevie area, there is a thead w/ some of our stevie tattoos~ i really love yours, it is absolutely adorable!!!:wavey:~

Lindsey says he doesn't read music. I wonder if he'd even know what it was if he saw it. How ironic if he wouldn't. I'm not sure about John.

Ive never actually been certain, is it that he CAN'T read it, or he DOESN'T on principle?

See, it totally makes sense now that you told me. I can read music if it's put in context. Ha!

I think he's denied being able to and that's why he calls himself a reformed primitive. Didn't he say his mother had him taking piano lessons for awhile? Over time, maybe he picked up a little know how, but he's never indicated that he has. It would be fun to show him GYOW and tell him it's something else and see if he catches on. Michele

Honestly, I think his approach to some of the Tusk stuff is too cerebral for him NOT to have a good grasp of reading music. I can understand the not reading it out of prinicple thing.. but I think if it came down to it and he was handed a score of music, he could read it.

That's just me though. I'm one of those.."Put it on paper" music students!

I have Street Angel on my right wrist, i dont remember the font but it was my fave at the time, but then i got my other wrist done this year, the guy kinda free handed it, and i like it better. i like it kinda messy and not perfect. like i scribbled on myself :D I would suggest freehand. especially with the lil quote you mentioned. but see what their writing is like first

Congrats on the graduation too!
