Absolutely! I've always had the feeling that he tries to downplay his involvement with all the drugs that weren't floating around. I don't know why...everyone else has acknowledged their drug/alcohol use. It seems that it was just part of the rock & roll culture at the time. It was so long ago, it hardly matters now. I've no doubt, though, that in comparison with Stevie and Mick, his drug use was less serious.

When were the Stevie portions recorded (no mention of Tusk in her pre-recorded intros). Her voice sounds, to me, like pre-Dance Stevie.

Yeah, i'm with you all. I thought the same thing about her voice being more husky and not how she currently sounds. I questioned the timing of this in my post this morning. Would be nice to know when the excerpts were from so it could be put some of her commentary into context. Not that it really needs to be because she's not saying anything we haven't heard from her in one way, shape or form before.

I should transcribe it but it won't come off the same. He references the "every night that goes between, I feel a little less" lyric and says it's pretty "suggestive." I think that was the word he used. He says she was probably thinking back a few years prior. Then he talks about her voice on the track and then he does a near perfect imitation of it, as only Lindsey can do and says she's practically whispering like she's talking to someone in great confidence. He says the song would have been sort of country but they decided to pull back from that. The dj says that it's the most vulnerable he's ever heard Stevie on a microphone and Lindsey agrees. And now that I think about that statement I think he's probably right. He also says Stevie was at the height of her visibility during the Tusk era. I think that and his glowing comments about John's style of playing bass are the most interesting things in the interview from Lindsey.

Stevie talks about her diaries being like published and we can read them... ?

No, it's from an old interview when she kept saying she was going to write a book and use her journals... do not hold your breath.

"Storms" is sheer perfection. He was spot-on in his comments. He also mentions Chris' piano on the track as "superb" playing.

That's an interesting take on the Storms vocal. I've always thought it sounded like Stevie recorded it after she finished crying. Either way, her voice sounds totally vulnerable. With out a doubt, this is her neatest, most innovative vocal... it's just so emotive.
