I'd love to see Dreams dropped and something else (Beautiful Child, SOTM!!) put in its place.

I have not been a huge fan of Gypsy until I heard the acoustic version from one of the AHI benefits. I'd love to see it done like that on this tour.

I thought SYLM picked up as it went along. That first verse Stevie did had me disoriented. I was trying to sing along and couldn't, but things improved.

That's one of many "hits" they didn't do. I understand they're doing songs that people connect with, but don't call it a hits tour when in fact, it's not. The only way they could possibly do a true hits tour would be to bring Christine back.

I think it all depends on how comfortable Stevie felt singing it, and how she felt the crowd reacted to it. I wouldn't be surprised if it got the ax and Beautiful Child brought back in its place.

But then again, I thought they were going to do Little Lies so what the hell do I know?:shrug:

Anyone who thinks "Oh Well" is a blues tune doesn't know **** about the blues. (It still boggles my mind that Billy Burnette used to intro the song that way...what the hell was he thinkin'?) It's not like Lindsey's trying to play BB King or Elmore James tunes here.

That said, it's correct that Lindsey, even after all this time, has a tough time with it; however, after the clip I saw from last night, he's playing it better than ever...his guitar TONE still sucks (like a 1960's transistor radio on steriods with a serious sinus problem), but he's vastly improved his technique on the tune since 1982.

The thing about Fleetwood Mac, they're detached from their audience. They wouldn't understand an audience reaction if it bit 'em on the butt.

That's WHY Lindsey plays Oh Well...because it's not a blues song. He really has no place to sing the blues since he comes from a "Disneyland" background. LOL He can give that shout-out to Peter without going towards the blues. :)

They never said that. Not only have they not said they were going to do it, I don't think they have even mentioned the song in a good 20 years.

ININW was good (decent crowd response for that song), and I hate to see it get dropped in place of a slower one. Oh Well was phenominal, I dont understand all the naysaying. IMO they should rearrange the acoustic set. Maybe even making NGBA the full band in the middle of it would save what became a series of heavy eyelid movements. I understand the appreciation of Storms being played live for the first time, blah blah blah, and it was performed well, but they could have inserted Beautiful Child and I wouldnt have noticed the difference. I realize thats almost blasphemy, but I would have put another B/N McVie cover in there instead.

I think it's just that Stevie's range has lowered so much that what once were easy notes for her to sing soft are now notes she has to belt out in order to hit.

hmmm... I wonder why I thought that? :sorry: Maybe it was all of our faux setlists? Anyway... I wouldn't mind dropping IKINW for Angel. Or drop Standback for SOTM. I am sure they will readjust and make things even better. I just have to have Silver Springs. it rocked.
