I always buy used. I've bought about 20 things from Amazon in the past year, over half were either cds or dvds, and haven't had any problems, as long as I check the seller's feedback. It saves me money.

Timespace is an absolute waste of money for you. Crystal Visions is actually a really nice collection of songs with a great DVD, but Timespace is 100 percent useless since you have all her solo albums plus Enchanted already.

Tusk is their masterpiece. The Deluxe 2 CD version is money well spent.

For sure get the Tusk CD (remastered 2CD version).

Do yourself a favor, unless you're a completest, stay far, far
away from Street Angel.

Well I'd buy tango over tusk but that is just me. Except Stevie's stuff on Tusk is absolutely amazing and pretty crap on Tango. I'd make Tango your second pick if you are going for Tusk firstly.

As for the two disc version of SYW - you too can listen to Lindsey murder a Bob Dylan song...(yes I know I'm still not over it).

Do NOT, under any circumstances, buy the "Unbroken Chains" DVD. Completely terrible. Avoid it at all costs.

I have to disagree on all the Street Angel bashing. Agreed, there are some real stinkers on it, but what Stevie album DOESN'T have it's share? To me, Street Angel is the album where Stevie put aside her shawls and airy fairieness and made a simple, straightforward, rock based album that she had always needed to make. Blue Denim sounds as good to me today as any of Stevie's songs, past or present. Greta is a fun little song; the title track is heartbreaking; Listen to the Rain, Love is Like a River, and Kick It are great little rockers. Destiny and Unconditional Love are real soft rock stinkers, and Jane is just plain embarassing to listen to ("the children of the world, the forgotten chimpanzee..." UGH!). But overall, Street Angel is a solid, undervalued part of Stevie history. I wish people would give it more of a chance, including Stevie herself. I hate the fact even she writes off this album, because there really is some good stuff on there.

Street Angel is pretty cool. My favorites are DESTINY & LISTEN TO THE RAIN.

As for the original question: Just buy RUMOURS. That's all you need. That's the classic late '70s Mac album right there.

Some of us actually like Street Angel, Say You Will, and Stevie's songs on Tango. You might, too. And I'm starting to think that the hype of "TUSK not being Rumours 2" overshadows the actual songs themselves (much the same way Lindsey says that the "relationship drama" overshadows the actual songs on Rumours).

One thing about TimeSpace:

All of the mixes on TimeSpace are different than the mixes on the original albums. All of the songs were remixed for TimeSpace.

Buy Rumours first. But then buy Tusk! You need both of those albums to get a clearer picture of the capabilities of THAT lineup. (We need not mention the five or six other necessary FM records from previous lineups.)

Similarly, one couldn't figure out the Beatles with Sgt. Pepper alone, the White album shows the more experimental side of that group.

I agree that you should NOT avoid Street Angel. It's worth having eventually for sure. There's just no rush. Like Louie said it's maybe her most straight ahead rocking album out there. If she made something like this at a better time in her life it could've been way better.
