has anyone else ever thought that Lindsey and the group originally planned for Mirage to be a 50s-inspired blues/do-wop-ish kinda album? Nearly all the songs, in their early stages have a rough early-school rock/blues sound, that is just amazing... Somehow, most of these tracks ended up sounding more 1982 than 1952, but a few tracks remained (oh Diane, wish you were here...) Anyway, I LOVE these old demos and outtakes. Kinda wish the final product had retained some of this wildness.

You're welcome Betsy! I may never recover from working the polls. A group of us have taken a day off work and worked the polls the last few years as a fundraiser for a local charity. Turnout was very high and it was good to see so many young first time voters. My favorite, though, was the lady in her eighties who struggled with her walker to have her chance to vote. In her distinct European accent she said she was so proud to be able to vote and wouldn't ever miss out on the opportunity.

So far it's Gypsy,which is why i'm looking for the sessions disc for all the versions of it, Can't Go Back & Eyes Of The World.

IMO the Gypsy demos are horrid. Other fans enjoy them so you might also. I can't post them but some kind soul will eventually.
