Yes, I think he had her record "I am what I am" over and over and different speeds and then manipulated them to go down the scale, then in the album mix he modulated them and did some funky echos so it all kind of blends into a cool sounding vocal effect. It was really neat to hear the clean, unprocessed vocal here.

Although I was not so thrilled with her extra vocal in the dub mix. Singing "he is what he is" was a little silly.

UndoingTheLaces,

Thanks for posting those! :) Quick question, who did the remix for "Everywhere"?

One thing I was currious about, did the band decide to have these mixes done, or is it more a record company thing so the songs appeal to a wider audience? And how much say does the band get about the mix, do they have to give a stamp of approval to the final product? Do they get to pick the remixer? I'd always wondered about that last one in particular, since the first single(Lindsey's)started off with Arthur Baker, then the next two singles had Jellybean(not sure who did Everywhere). Then the fifth single(Lindsey's)had Baker again, just wondering if he asked for Arthur Baker to mix his songs.

And lastly, if anyone can help by posting some of those mixes from that link I posted a few posts up, that would be great! Thanks again! :)
