Ever heard of Marianne Faithful? Joni Mitchell? Guess not. Stevie has changed 1/10 of the percentage that those female vocalists changed. Additionally I don't think your "stevie-hatin'" :laugh: is in line with the masses. Do you? Really?

Generally speaking, I'm not that into "chick rock" FM is the exception for me...
For the record, I don't hate her, although I'm not fond of how she's turned out.

And I still don't see how Stevie's weight has any bearing on any of this. We can debate the change in her voice, we can debate the change in her stage performances... and whether or not we like the changes is all a matter of preference... but none of it has anything to do with what she weighs.

YOU are the only one that keeps mentioning her weight. Her singing is MUCH more of an issue with me. I was merely pointing out that it's hard for a sex symbol to have a post-menopausel career.

I think that someone's appearance/weight is only relevant if they use it themselves. For instance Madonna use her appearance and sexuality as part of her act.

IMO Stevie has NEVER done that so it's not fair to comment on it. No one comments on the males in the band (extra weight, lack of hair) It seems to me that a woman can be forgiven many things but gaining weight or losing her looks that's a no-no.

Funny how once again Stevie Nicks is the main subject here again, when it's clearly Lindsey BuckingHam (what a Ham!) who's made totally ridiculous in this review :lol: Can't say I totally disagree with him either.

The review was correct in parts-it is the Lindsey B show these days pretty much-but some of it I didn't like-let's review the music please and not personalities..

Re: Stevie vs. Chris: women age differently. No fair to compare=:-) I know, I know. Chris has gotten more elegant looking with age and Stevie hasn't. Stevie can still hold that audience in her hand. I've seen her do it, as recently as 2001?2002? (whenever I saw the TISL show, anyway) and she was sick with a cold at the time. I admire Stevie even if she isn't the talent that Lindsey is (in my humble opinion)because of what she's accomplished in her life. To me she shows real character-it's a lot easier to give up than fight drug addiction and depression like she has and have success at it.

Well, the guy did say LB still has his hair done at the Art Garfunkle school of hair or something like that. :laugh:

But I do agree that the physical appearance/aging of women is always more criticized that that of a man. Not fair at all.
