In person I have...

seen 3 Fleetwood Mac shows (OKC & Dallas 2003, Dallas 2004)...

Including solo tours-Stevie in Dallas 2001

If ya were to include videos of the shows on the 2003-2004 tour, Well let's just say I have overdosed on FM

Why didn't you catch the very recent Austrailian tour, Were you a fan 11 months ago?

tynan88 12-15-2004 11:35 PM

I actually wasn't a fan eleven months ago! I feel really bad, that I basically became a fan only after these shows :(

I am very new to this fandom.

I know exactly how you feel. It was about this time last year that I got FM's Greatest Hits (a.k.a. the "Green Album"). It was my first FM CD. I had only been a fan of Stevie's solo work since summer of 2003, too. I came onto a bunch of these message boards and wondered what in the world I could say to everyone! I pretty much just got my Tango CD like you; I've had it about four months now. I'll be feeling inadequate for awhile in comparison to the veteran fans, but I figure that in spite of that, we're at the best part of fandom, don't you think? Discovering and hearing the music for the first time is fantastic! :) I don't think you can ever go back and have that again, that feeling like Wow! I love every track on this CD! I'm never going to get tired of it! :]

Please excuse my ditziness. :o

Which albums have you gotten so far?

Which albums have you gotten so far?
Fleetwood Mac Reissue
Rumours Reissue
Tusk Reissue
Mirage
The Wild Heart
Tango In The Night
Tango In The Night DVD
Timespace
The Dance
The Dance DVD
The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac
Say You Will Limited Edition
Live In Boston
In The Meantime

And I totally agree about this being the best time to be a fan! There is enough material for me to discover to hold me over until the next release now, I think I picked a good time, like I said, Seven Wonders had always been one of my favourite songs before I knew about Fleetwood Mac, but Say You Will hooked me in the end.

I am really looking forward to a lot of the Pre-Rumours stuff as well, I haven't got in to that yet.

I'd say that when you do get around to that, get Mystery to Me first. I got that one this past summer and it blew me away! Bob and Christine are both fantastic on that one.

Thanks for you advice, it's great here, because I don't have any fans around me, so I can come here and share a common interest.

Dallas (2003) and Detroit. Did anyone else have a really surreal feeling at your first one? I just couldn't believe I was there and seeing it live. I hope to make it to many more in the future.

Woops, thought it was concerts in general, not just the mac :o
uh, that would be three then: the mac in 1994 and 2003, and Peter Green & Splinter Group in 1996.

face of glass 12-16-2004 04:26 AM

One. And considering the way they've been touring lately, that's more than enough for me. :p
