Yes, I know. Forget her Queen of Rock and Roll title...she's the queen of rambling. I've never known anyone with such a knack of saying the exact same thing in 15 million different ways. Of course, that's one of the reasons we love the woman.

The end of the conversations as far as I know...

Conversation Tapes Part IV 19 seconds

S. Nicks – “Old bean body…A graveyard. I love graveyards, and we try running into a lot of them. Lindsey loves graveyards.”
C. McVie – “You mind if I don’t do this interview tonight.”

Conversation Tapes Part V 40 seconds

S. Nicks – “Super snow white hair…French…real neat…real interesting right…like Castilian…uh kind of…uh…uh…uh New Orleans sort of. And it was incredible. Robin and I walked in, and we’re going you know kind of Leslie Caron and Gigi. And all these ladies are going…looking at us with these blank stares.”
C. McVie – “Was there a baby?”
J.C. – “It was you that went to the hairdresser this morning.”
S. Nicks – “Me because yes…”
J.C. – “Yeah. Okay.”
M. Fleetwood – “She knew she was going.”
S. Nicks – “I knew I was going.”
J.C. – “You had been lying in there for 5 days.”
S. Nicks – “That’s right, and it was a wreck like me. And it was very funny and I wish I thought to myself…”

Lindsey loves graveyards.

Interesting.

>>C. McVie – “Would you mind just not talking while I’m trying to say >>something?”
>>M. Fleetwood – “I apologize, Chris.”
>>C. McVie – “Damnit! Not that it was that important.”

Just this snippet alone is so funny. It's the WAY Chris says stuff that makes it hilarious. The quietly furious "God DAMmit...!" and then the pause...and then the completely casual, "Not that it was that important." ROTFLMAO.

IMO if this was a typical travel experience, then it is astonishing this band lasted one month, let alone all the years they did. I mean, yes, it's funny to us to hear, but imagine the reality of those car rides, day after day after day. It boggles the mind. It boggles mine, at least.

Wasn't there a spot at the end where Chris asks if Star Trek is on that night?

That is one of my favourite parts. The way they most likely survived was having Stevie ride in a separate limo. I love the way Christine says things the way she does. It makes the tapes for me. I don't have that. Are my tapes different than yours? Hmm...

Well, but people talk nonstop like that when they're coked out...

That's great! I can't imagine transcribing that. I remember when I first listened to it - I laughed my ass off.

I especially like the part where Christine asks Micks to turn the recorder off. She's really annoyed throughout the entire thing. You could tell he was really annoyed because he's like "NO, I will NOT turn it off!"

So funny.

Probably not. I think she says that really in the background while Mick is sort of the one that is mainly talking; it's not easily heard.

I also love the part when she is telling them about Sam Emerson leaving her room at 5 AM, and both M and S make those 'Mmhmmm....' noises and C says indignantly, "There were other people *there*...." She is funny without even meaning to be funny. And Mick also, with his snotty upper crust 'It's called decorum' line, oh my god, I am laughing just typing it.

If I were JC I would have driven that car right off the edge of a cliff or something.

This was too funny. It should be sold and labeled as "What cocaine does to your brain"! Of course, Stevie is like that coked up or clean, God love her. I think that's one of the things I've always loved about her-she loves to talk and she rambles as much as I do! :)
