It probably just happened... I don't think there is any evil conspiracy against Stevie opening Fleetwood Mac albums ;) . She did close some albums though.

I didn't think there was an evil conspiracy, it just seems like it may have been done on purpose for some reason, me not knowing what that purpose was or who's purpose....you'd think Stevie would notice :laugh:

I've always assumed that a Stevie song never opened one of the Mac studio albums, because she tended to have less tracks than Lindsey & Christine.

So, instead of starting the album with one of her tracks, and then only having a couple left, they peppered them throughout the running order.

But then, maybe it wasn't thought out at all, and just happened that way. :shrug:

She did have the opening song on 1988's 'Greatest Hits,' and 1992's 'The Chain' boxed-set though. :)

"Rhiannon" was the lead-off track on the 1988 Greatest Hits album.

And, "Paper Doll" was the opening track of The Chain box-set.

I Don't Wanna Know kicked off some versions of the Rumours cassette tapes. I think this was in error however. I used to have one.

My 'Rumours' cassette starts off with "I Don't Want To Know," too.
I think maybe it was to keep the sides of the cassette fairly even in length (therefore neither side would have a lot of blank space at the end).
Side One totals 20:01, and Side Two totals 19:52.

For years I only had the cassette, so I had just assumed "I Don't Want To Know" was a Lindsey song. Seemed more his style than Stevie's!

Yeah I never had the album, so i assumed it was LB too. I was 7 yrs old.
