My little Tusk tour pin because it's also very useful for puncturing egg shells before soft-boiling them.

Well assuming that my whole family (including my dog and cat) were all out of the house and I had a second to save some some crap, I would take the stuff that wasn't easily replaced, like the pictures I took at the West Palm show, my Stevie collage that I spent two weeks making in art class, and if time allowed my SYW poster which I got custom framed (that shot of Stevie and Lindsey lying down in opposite direction is so beautiful- best Mac cover art ever).

I'd grab my Rooms On Fire single of course. ;)

Actually, I'd probably grab one of my hanging Stevie pics. Photos are always the hardest to replace after a fire. I'd also want some of the CD demos if there were room in my arms.

Gee... let's see:

My stuffed animal shark Chelsea

Tango In the Night and Mirage, the LPs that I have displayed in my room, records included.

Tango in the Night and Mirage, the CDs

My iPod

My data disks. I have my inventory lists on it, so...

This list is also for if:

A tornado is in my area
A hurricane is coming in one hour
There is a massive storm coming, freezing all of the North and causing tornadoes in California... and we have to go to Mexico, also in one hour :p

My CDs (All 300 or so of them) are all in a wallet, so I'd probably be able to grab those, too. I'm lucky that I keep all of this stuff together. I can't choose just one thing :p.

I totally agree--I'd get the cats out first, then my tickets to Camden and Atlantic city, the TISL wool jacket I got on ebay, and the teddy bear with the Stevie Nicks Enchanted t-shirt. The other things I have (t-shirts, posters, etc.) are probably replaceable. There was a fire in my complex a few weeks ago and 2 buildings burned down, so I have thought about this before.

As perhaps the only Ledgie whose house did catch fire (we live in a thatched cottage and the roof caught fire) I'll tell you what we grabbed. NOTHING. Big fat zero. We got the hell out of there as quickly as we could. The firemen brought out family pictures and paintings, but that's all they had time for as they had to concentrate on the fire. The only thing I worried about was the cat, but he turned up safe and well after it was all over. Eight hours, sixty firemen, nine fire engines, four support vehicles (including catering and lighting - it was like a FM tour), the police, the paramedics, victim support and the Red Cross (I kid you not. None of the last three needed, thank goodness) the fire was out. We lost a third of our roof and the sitting room carpet. The firemen moved the rest of our furniture away from the fire and the water. It took us over six months to get straight, but we were just glad we still had a home. The firemen told us it was the first time they'd saved the first floor (second floor to Americans) following a thatch fire!

However, if I'd really had to think about which FM stuff I'd have saved it would have to be my gatefold Buckingham Nicks LP and, given it might be worth $85 my Rumours N Fax book!

I guess that this older thread has been resurrected and I did not see it the first time so I will respond now. I am so disorganized that I really don’t know what I would take. I think that I would take the photos that I took from this past leg of the tour. I made a ton of copies on CDs and I have sets of them already in a couple of my bags. I guess I would grab the photo of Lindsey and myself that I had him sign for me.
Actually I agree with the other posts that said they would grab their concert tickets. Before September I was carrying around my Camden front row ticket just like a little baby. I would take it just about everywhere that I went and if I popped in somewhere I would have someone ‘baby sit” the bag with the ticket in it.
When I went out with a few co-workers one night to Pizzeria Uno I took the ticket and the signed LB photo all in my big bag. My bag took up too much room and my co-workers were not too happy with me. I told them that I could not leave it the car because I had something very valuable in the bag.
I am supposed to go out with them sometime this week and have already been told to leave the luggage at home. LOL I told them don’t worry I don’t have any more tickets in my bag.

My collection of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks Tour Books. They're all together so I could grab them and run like hell.

ontheEdgeof17 11-01-2004 06:18 PM

I would definately save my signed picture of Stevie. Everything else I could find again.

Hmmm...

My OOTC and BN signed LPs.

GateandGarden 11-01-2004 07:31 PM

I bet I would be like Brian and die trying to decide.

Seriously though, if I had some hard to replace Mac item, such as a signed photo, that'd be what I'd grab, but I don't, so, I'd go for the Tusk re-issue, I suppose. But if I did that, I'd really miss Mystery to Me.
