If the fans from behind are making their way forward to an empty seat, I say go for it. What I dislike is when drunk, obnoxious numnuts from the back beeline for the stage, barreling over anyone & anything in their path. I've even had drunkards attempt to "share" my own chair with me.

Rock concerts are uncivilized. That's what you get when you allow or encourage all this standing & moving about. Security is powerless against most of it.

I hate this too...when I saw Paul McCartney at Madison Square Garden this was a huge problem...and I KNOW the people trying to get to the front did not pay the near $400 I did for my ticket...I was PISSED!! ANd I got into it with many people that night....it's just rude....if anyone had tried to bowl me over when I had front row I would not have been happy....

That being said, it does depend on how it's done and what the venue is like...when I saw Stevie in Albuquerque (TISL) a bunch of us crowded to the front and we all made room for one another and it was a fun joyous event....no pushing, no swearing at each other...(at least where I was standing) we were all just relishing in the fact that we were standing right in front of Ms. Nicks herself....

So yeah...just my little ramble...
