I watched it last night from start to finish and it was just amazing. The thing that surprises me is how much more raw and free they seem to be. They seem to be having so much fun.

Nothing really surprised me in terms of the quality, look, sound.. etc. I was expecting something pretty spectacular - and I think I got it. And I love it.

I guess a couple of things did surprise me and that would be some of Stevie's close ups... (knowing that Tango and Red Rocks closeups were re-shot to improve her looks), I thought "way to go Stevie" for just letting the camera capture the real thing.....

And the second thing was that we have this dvd in the first place!... It's just been a phenomenal couple of years for us fans and to have this dvd to keep as a reminder of a great couple of years is just over the top - and something I think we can all look back on with great memories... :thumbsup:

...that at the end of SAY GOODBYE both Lindsey and Stevie look like they are about to cry. I know its always a sad song, but maybe I never saw it from the right angle or something...or couldn't see both of their faces at the same time...or didn't have every person around me break into loud conversation like it was intermission. It was pretty intense on this DVD.

I totally agree with you about Say Goodbye, Kristin!

I have always liked the song and everything and have seen it performed live 3 times now...but seeing them close up with that anquish on their faces was just very emotional to me. Say Goodbye is a definite highlight of the concert for me.

Stand Back is probably my favorite performance, but a surprising favorite is Don't Stop. :nod: This is not one of my favorite FM songs, but I love it here! And I love the look Lindsey gives Stevie before the pose at the end.

I am so glad to have this DVD finally in my hands!!

(Not that I expected her to do the close-ups in 2004!:laugh: )

She looks naturally stunning...my boyfriend kept saying, "How old is she??!!!" (Even though he's a fan and he knows...he just can't believe it!:))

:laugh:They were kinda on the lame side, but still better in comparison to The Dance. Maybe they were self-conscious about cutting loose too much since they were being filmed.:shrug: I, for one, wouldn't give a rip...but you know how people are. :confused:

"Say Goodbye"...are you sure that was a problem? It's had quiet parts at every show I've seen, due to Stevie and Lindsey simply singing and playing quieter, and I love what it brings to the song.

What do you not like about it? I think the filming, especially the camera angles are incredible. As people have mentioned about Say Goodbye, we got to see so much more...specifically the intense and fun looks Stevie and Lindsey exchange! Seeing this made Say Goodbye even more epic that it already is live. It just rips my heart out...the sound of their superb vocals alone are already enough to make me weep, let alone the words.

Not that he's vying for close-ups, but did anyone else feel like John was a little jipped? I guess he probably doesn't catch the eyes of the camera crew too much since he barely moves, but he is the bass legend here, people!!! I did love that they captured his big smile when Mick introduced him, though.

I was over this before it ever even started, but I too noticed that Stevie struck the exact same pose in her boots and was surprised that she approved 'Boks over boots for the booklet.

But, hey...nothin' wrong with a little Reebok Pride!!!:)

You must be referring to the show on the 23rd, because as I've said hundreds of times, it was pandemonium on the 24th. ;) :laugh:

People were jumping upa nd down and screaming the words to every damn song, even the new ones and the lesser-known ones. I'll never forget hearing almost the entire floor sing "Eyes of the World" along with Lindsey. It blew me away. And, if you ask me, "Come" got the biggest response from the crowd. :laugh:

The thing that surprises me most about the Boston DVD is "the lame reactions from the crowd." I still cant believe how many people were sitting down. There are points where you see front row-ers sitting down!! DO NOT buy front row tickets if you're going to sit there like a old fogey! Let people who go nuts over the band have those seats. UGH...

The other thing that surprises me most about the Boston DVD is "the overdubs." There is an amazing amount of overdubbing and over-EQ-ing going on. It's disappointing.

The last thing that surprises me about the Boston DVD is "Lindsey's intensity." He surprises me. His solo on "Come" is inspiring.

Okay...90% of FM audiences are lame in my eyes! Can we say "getting drunk in an attempt to re-live one's youth?!" :cool:

I went to see Stevie during the TISL tour twice and at the first show I went to, I thought all the audience members had been pumped full of valium. They were unbearably boring. I was third row and probably only one of five people not sitting. However, I was the only one in my vicinity that actually knew the words to Sorcerer and all the other new songs. I felt special. :D
