Cory clearly has a very special relationship with Stevie. She mentions her by name in almost every entry. And it's usually a funny or sweet story.

I think it's very endearing and a true testament to the amount of time that Stevie and Lindsey have known each other. Stevie is one of the only ones on tour that knew Cory's father as a young man. Probably something very bittersweet about that.

From that VH1 'All Access' special last year, it seems that Stevie's wardrobe trunk not only carries her current stage clothes (which can't take up too much room! *lol*), as well as the various shawls and outfits she's worn over the years.

I remember her pulling out the "current" "Gold Dust Woman" shawl as well as the "original" one... and doing the same for the "Stand Back" cape.

Maybe it's easier to just leave everything in the trunk, and transport the whole thing, rather than trying to store all of the older stage-clothes elsewhere?

She probably keeps the stage clothes in the trunk as "proof" to any future IRS investigations over "stage wardrobe expenses". ;)

You know, chili, I never even thought of that, but you're probably right.
After the whole IRS problem several years back, she probably drags them all on the road with her to make sure there's no question about what's meant to be worn on stage, and what's part of her normal wardrobe.
