Yea, of course! I loved both types of intro...that Mirage vocal back-and-forth between LB and Christine was fantastic, but when I heard the guitar-intro version live on this tour, it gave me goosebumps!!:cool:

Well...of the very first, original dates announced, the last show was Auburn, WA. Then they added a new batch of dates which begin in Boise, ID just 3 days later. So no time to really rehearse something different there. Then in between that batch of dates and the ones that were just announced (beginning with Biloxi), there is almost a 3 week rest, but it might be just that...a rest. (For vocal chords and to be with family!) I'll keep my fingers crossed that they mix it up a little for those of you seeing those shows, though!
As much as I would love to see tons more new songs (I can't even deal that "Garden" didn't make it! I totally agree that it could have become a signature Mac song!), I think they're giving us a fairly hearty dose of them, considering just how many songs they have to choose from. They have to appeal to the masses as well, but in addition to the new songs, I know we would all like to see some "rare" old stuff played too. I would write a novel if I started suggesting songs! Seven Wonders and Tango MUST be performed at some point before retirement! I couldn't be more pleased with Beautiful Child, which I never would have expected. I don't know about ya'll, but I (politley:) ) begged Stevie to do any of her Tusk songs when I sent her a Christmas greeting via the Nicks Fix last year. Perhaps its performance was her own decision, but maybe she really heard us! There are always staples that even the hard-core fans love...can you imagine a Mac show w/o GYOW?! Maybe you can, but I'm SURE you have a different staple you can't live w/o! I find it interesting that Stevie will no longer perform Sara because she was never fully satisfied with the way it translated to live performance, but I think this song is much better live than Gypsy (on any tour). That was definitely a mind-boggling studio moment! Hopefully they're just waiting to get into some Buckingham Nicks stuff until after the CD comes out. It would make sense for people hearing those songs for the first time at a show to be able to easily obtain the album afterwards. I feel the way new songs go over all depends on how much energy you're willing to put into MAKING the audience feel them. Stevie is certainly capable of doing this, but I'm sure it takes a lot to regain confidence for such things after so many years on drugs. Drugs provide confidence! Waddy said in his Q&A that he knows what a capable and captivating vocalist she STILL is, but that she gets comfortable with certain songs. (Not that she doesn't still usually sing her butt off on those songs!) On the other hand, she played a lot of new songs on the TISL tour, including ones that she had to know wouldn't go over as well as some other songs on the album.

Perhaps many of you are :o ing by now!

It didn't give me goosebumps, it kind of irritated me because they ommitted so many notes, it made it hard to sing along with.

But this song does kick ass live.. I just wish they'd play ALL the notes in the guitar intro, and not just almost all of them. It just sounds.. I don't know, it just sounds watered down, like they can't pull it off so they trim it down a little.

Which part exactly do you mean?

I was talking about those guitar chords LB plays over that opening fast drum beat....as a substitute for those vocal exchanges he used to do with Christine on the Mirage Tour.

As for the famous EOTW guitar riff itself...I just had another listen to the Birmingham show version and the only differnce I could hear is that he no longer plays the slide from the 2nd to the 3rd note...he just plays...1..2...3..instead of 1...2....2-3....

Yes, I'm talking about the riff.. but in the messy part after the 1 2 2/3. If you listen to Mirage EOTW and then listen to a recording of it from this tour, you'll catch it. He's done it at every show I've heard taped: Columbus and Birmingham, and he did it in Nashville too.

Haha...yea I just had a listen to the Birmingham show...I see what you mean, some of the notes have been removed and others allowed to ring through to their place, especially towards the end of the riff. I hadn't listened to the Mirage version(s) for so long that I completely didn't notice!
