iis Stevie's dad sick?

First of all, I really beleive everyone's concern is real and from the heart. I am sure that is appreciated. What I really wanted to address is, the fact of this being a "disgusting' rumour. If you have ever had a loved one that was sick or has passed on from a lengthy illness, then you will understand why this is a rumour that should end right here and now. Stevie is in the public eye and if the rumour is true, so what. The last thing she would want is people like us debating her fathers illness. If it isn't true, then it is a "disgusting" rumour which really has no place in the public eye. As far as putting down a member of her family, well, that is up to you. If her father is really sick one would think some quiet support instead of attacking a family member would be in order. JMO

Stevie's father

Does anyone know whether there is any truth to this rumor? Any way to confirm it? Who on the Enchanted mailing list has access to this kind of information?

Because this is Stevie's family we need to be careful here-just my humble opinion.

I have it on good order that it is not true.

The rumor was initially started by Barbara McLuin AKA Miss "Stevie Illusions" on the Stevie Chain mailing list, so I definitely took it with a grain of salt.

Pretty strong argument for birth control, IMO.

I'd have taken it with a mountain of salt.

She was at the show in Dallas. We saw her afterward.
In regards to Stevie's dad, we'll find out when he shows or doesn't show at the AHI benefit. If he doesn't then I think it's safe to say something's wrong. Until then, I'm hoping this is just a rumour, nothing more.

does anyone know Stevie's dad actual age? I know Barbara is exactly 20 years older then Stevie. And I know her dad is considerably older then her mom. But i dodn't know if that means 5 years older, 10 years older:confused:

This rumour is NOT true. I don't know the Nick's family personally but I know people in the medical community here that know them and know Ted Deitrich the heart surgeon who started the Az Heart Inst. If Jess Nicks were seriously ill Dr. Deitrich would know about it.

He's not. He'll be there.

It is at times like this that I hope Stevie really doesn't read these boards. It is one thing to show genuine concern about her father's health but to personally attack her brother is really low. Whether the info about Chris is true or not this has nothing to with the health of their father. I'm sure Stevie would be very hurt and upset if she read or heard about this.

Woah.... my gut told me to stay out of this thread and I should have listened!

If anyone is interested I met Chris Nicks briefly in Vegas and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Seems a tad unfair to attack someone who isn't around to defend themselves. I sure hope that Jessica Nicks doesn't browse boards like this to see what fans are saying about her Aunt only to discover this sort of thing being said about her father..... JMO

Ah, rumor, the catch-22 word. If it is a "true rumor," then it is true that it's a rumor and therefore false. If the rumor turns out to be true, or fact if you will, than it is no longer a rumor. So if it's true, it's not a rumor. But if it's a rumor, it's not true. Still, if it's a true rumor, well then, it's simply a rumor.

Capiche?

Wouldn't that be unethical for a Dr. to discuss his patients though?
