i was never a fan of his comedy.

He was brilliant and a master of language--he was truly the William Safire of comedy. My personal favorite "lecture" was his talk about "stuff." No other comedian could tickle my brain the way he did.

I also loved the "stuff" lecture as well as his insight into people's "driving habits."
Just from memory:

"No one can go the SAME speed you are going."
You are on the highway tooling along and someone passes you
"Did you see that idiot Martha ? Where's the fire?, He's driving like a madman!"
Next few min. you have to pass someone because they are going a slower speed
than you are:
"Did you see that idiot Martha? He's going so slow a turtle could outrun him!, What a
moron!"
It doesn't matter what speed you are doing no one can be faster or slower without being an idiot, madman and/or moran......

It's a good thing George never drove around with my husband, they both think the same way!!

I'm curious to where you think Carlin is RIP?

I'm basing that question on his statements about God.

Huge loss. :distress:

NBC is rerunning the first SNL this Sat. George hosted it.

I think we'd have to ask Joe Pesci. Carlin lists himself as a Frisbeetarianism, so I suppose his soul was flung up on a roof somewhere.
