My issue is that it reminds me of a whining child. "That's all for meeeeee." :wavey:

I do not disagree that it is a great song. Compared to everything else on the album, it is my least fav. It needs to go....should have went before Sara.

Why shouldn't anyone be allowed to change a vote? He changed his vote to save a song he likes. I think that is perfectly legitimate.

As for the tie, since the rule has traditionally been to go with the song that previously got more votes, the result still stands. Sara is out. It would be grossly unfair to change rules midstream.

A lot of songs should have gone before Sara, but the vicious attacks on one of Lindsey's greatest compositions called for drastic measures.

YEP. Live with it, Boilermaker! During Rumours, I changed my vote a couple of times, in order to save other songs. If that practice was allowed to stand, it obviously still does.

HAHA, you're so funny, CarneVaca. You know very well you made the exact same complaint last time. But for those of you who don't remember, here is Carne's previous statement from the aborted thread:

I cry

FOUL!!!!!!

Loud and clear.

As for "Traditionally" - once in an aborted thread, which doesn't count. So.....

I DEMAND A RUNOFF FOR SARA AND SMAP.

Who's with me?!!

Good try, Nance, but I'm with everyone else....It's out fair and square. I hate it, too.

I'm just wondering if we'll ever have a Tusk survivor winner at this rate.

HomerMcvie 08-19-2004 10:04 PM

I vote Not That Funny
Mainly because the Mirage tour ruined it for me. All that screaming is just plain embarrassing.

I don't know, but this is the most god damn hysterically funny Survivor game I've ever seen on here, that I don't even care right now!

Dude, I love all of Lindsey's songs on 'Tusk'... they're pure brilliance (even though I do still feel that Stevie's are stronger "songs," overall).

But "Save Me A Place"... I just don't get the appeal. Honestly.
I want to. I have tried to. But I don't get it.

What makes it stand out?
The lyrics make an ok statement, sure... but not as good of a statement as his other 'Tusk' songs.
The harmonies are nice, but they're certainly not the best harmonies he's ever had in one of his songs.
And, when compared to the rest of his 'Tusk' tracks, "Save Me A Place" has the most basic, standard production of them all. So it's not even innovative, production-wise.

So... and i'm asking honestly here... what's the appeal?
