I was at this show....28 years ago today! I was 13 years old and was there with my best friend, my sister and my brother-in-law. And...it was my first concert ever. The Rosemont Horizon had only recently opened as the roof had collapsed a year or so prior. As a joke, many people in the audience were wearing hard hats!

I was completely overwhelmed by this concert. I was FINALLY seeing the band that I loved live and "in person." Seeing Stevie perform her amazing version of Rhiannon was like having a religious experience. And I cleary remember the pulse of John's bass during The Chain. It was like a living thing.

I cried when they left the stage. It was magnificent!

While seeing it described as one of the best Rhiannons ever and then reading that you were actually in the audience for it is amazing. What a wonderful "first concert" memory to carry with you.

aka Cleveland
Venue: Richfield Coliseum

These two Cleveland shows were filmed by the ABC TV Show 20/20 and it aired on American television later in the year. This segment I have provided shows Stevie playing Sister's Of The Moon on piano. In 1980 when I saw this on TV I was so impressed with the way she played piano that it totally inspired me to learn how to play. To this day the very first song I play when I sit down in front of any piano is SOTM.

I remember catching this 20/20 episode when it first aired. I was a Rabid Mac fan at the time and hung on every word. To me, this is still one of the best Mac docs (I'm still looking for a clean version if anyone has one). Stevie struck me as so ethereal and vulnerable, I related to her immediately.

Very interesting Sanne! I did not know they ever used that background after the White Album Tour.

It was frequently used on the Rumours tour, but seeing it on the Tusk tour is rare.

Lol yes, I remembered!
Anyway, this proves it wasn't used just for the European part of the tour but more like some concerts here and there.

Debbie, I remember on that other board you asked me to make you a copy of this show in Holland. Well last night I dreamt that there was a bouquet of flowers waiting for me when I got home. They were from Stevie with a note asking me to find the best copy I can get a hold of, of this show, and record it for, and then send it to her.
Oh, if only dreams could become reality...

So it wasn't used during the whole tour?

I loved "Tusk" the very first time I heard it too. Although I had heard it for the first time in 2004/2005, I was only familiar with "Rumours." And most people I knew that heard of the band mostly liked "Rumours" and the White Album. I could remember listening to it and loving every single thing I heard. I was amazed by it and thought I was alone in thinking that "Tusk" was better than "Rumours." Wasn't until I met more hardcore FM fans that I realized I wasn't. I will always adore "Rumours" but "Tusk" will always be my favorite.

I'd like to think that I would have enjoyed Tusk more immediately when I first heard it, if I'd had more musical experience at the time. It had to grow on me. Michele

That era may have played a huge part as well. Back then most people thought it was a weird sound, so it was harder to accept right away. You didn't hear a lot of it on mainstream radio. I can certainly see how someone wouldn't like it at first after coming off "Rumours." I still can't fully explain why I liked it as much as I did.

Thanks Vivfox! I love this thread. I love the Rotterdam concert, but the recording I have is so low quality. Does anyone have the June 4,1980 Cologne, Germany concert or the London, England 6/20/80 show that I could sweetly listen to, please? I'm a Rhiannon fiend and would love to hear those versions. Thanks!
