Yes The Wrecking Crew over the years produced top notch recordings of music from who's who in studio musicians and music artists come together and record.

The more I think about it I don't see Stevie putting all this into a solo record and then just throwing it out there before the fall FM tour...I think she'll wait until she can properly promote and tour with the new record...

Yes I agree.She probably wants to get the bulk of the recording and mixing done before FM hits the road. Stevie and Dave can do some tweaking if needed before it drops.

And maybe toss some FM demos together if she has extra time.Thinking positive.

I hope Dave has his cameras rolling during the sessions.

On properly promoting the new music.

As we seen what happened when she toured with Rod Stewart and by the time her IYD dropped she was ill and could not promote it.

Yes it was great to get out there and it payed some of her bills but it overexerted her and got ill.

Yes, because obviously she is not accomplished at any instrument, knowing just enough piano & guitar to compose her songs, she has to rely and TRUST musicians and arrangers to bring her vision to fruition. If she does not like the outcome she simply does not release it, or re-record songs until she is satisfied (as she did on at least 3 IYD songs (as revealed in the IYD doc) when she was not satisfied with Dave's & co. initial takes on "New Orleans", "In Your Dreams" & of course "Soldier's Angel". Stevie, more than ever, knows what results she wants! "Time makes your bolder" ;)

I wouldn't think anything about Mick doing it. He always does little cameos with Stevie. Whether it's playing drums on a song or making a crazy appearance in a video, I kind of expect it of him. I am more astounded about Christine.

I wonder if people would make different designs if they thought it would be a country album than if they think it's going to be pop/rock.

I'm telling you, I did not like that horse on IYD. Even a midnight black horse would have been better. Don't design a horse for the next album cover, guys.

It won't be a "country" record. Maybe rootsier and rawer than TISL or IYD, more in the vein of "Bella Donna", or even "Street Angel." I'm hoping she's recording more blusier stuff ala "You May Be The One." :nod:

And besides, Stevie has AlWAYS recorded a song or two for many records that were country-esqe: After The Glitter Fades, Highwayman, That's Alright, Garbo, I Sing For The Things, I Still Miss Someone (Blue Eyes), Rose Garden, Too Far From Texas, Cheaper Than Free, For What It's Worth. :shrug:

I don't care if it's country or not. I listen to country. She probably wouldn't want to market it like that though, even if it did have country leanings.

I was just wondering if people in the proposed design contest would think differently, if they thought it would be a country album.

I agree with you that it's such a relief that he didn't dodge the question or pretend not to hear (like one of his bandmate's does when he's not in the mood). When you left, I was hoping that you would ask him that, but I didn't really think anything would come of it.
