I know i'm jumping in rather late here but it's without a doubt the musical bond of these people for years and years that's kept me wanting more. They're all amazingly talented musicians that fascinate and of course, have the ability to move people (i think we're all included) with their music. I could listen to SYW over and over again but there's nothing like being at an actual concert and hearing the music they've recorded, live. Lindsey Buckingham really blew me away this tour and I enjoyed watching him as much as I enjoyed hearing him.

Aside from the music, I think about all of the incredible people I've met over the years because of this band. When Fleetwood Mac or Stevie tour, it's a chance for us to all get together and have a blast. I traveled to DC twice and Atlanta once during the SYW tour and each time, met up with lots of people from The Ledge and elsewhere. Fleetwood Mac fans are generally great people and I love hanging out with them. Turns out, we have a lot more in common than love and adoration for a band.

Much like each show is different for the artist, each show has been different for me because of the people i've gotten to see the shows with :nod:

Hi, Jyqm! Your question is a good one. A long time ago, I used to see Fleetwood every time, probably because I was young. Today, I'm not, so I don't see the band. They play nearby at Irvine Meadows but I just blow it off. My fanaticism is nothing but embers by now, feeding off its own char & nitrogen; the phalanx of Time & Circumstance have trodden it into the desert sands of a live already lived.

My memories of sultry summer evenings watching the band play outdoors (you couldn't see the stars or the moon because Los Angeles is too smoggy) seem like millennia ago -- not just a different time in my life but a different lifetime altogether. Cold are the Hands of Time, Jyqm, in their relentless, inexorable march across the Face of Life's Fortunes.

Good gravy!! Philosophical Waxing... it takes me back. I was born and raised near the Meadows. The Mac does play a LOT down there. If I would have stayed down there, I prolly would be feeling the same way. There was a little club in Costa Mesa where The Cramps, The Bangles, Social Distortion and The Circle Jerks used to play regularly, back when KROQ was first taking off. They used to have Sunday BBQs. I can't remember the name of it, but that was the end of the line for me down there. Shortly thereafter I became a reside of the GNW. Sigh... say hello to the sun for me willya? :wavey:

Ahhh, yes..."The Cuckoo's Nest" on Placentia Ave between 17th & 18th Streets...across the parking lot from Zubie's bar. Lived around the corner from it back in 1980/81. My old roommate actually BOUGHT the house we were renting and he still lives there to this day...and what is really odd, he still has the same phone number! :nod:

That's right... Cuckoo's Nest!! That's the same time period I used to go there. It was WILD! Too bad they tore the place down. I lived in the apartments on Sunflower by the South Coast Plaza. Those were fun times. I used to hang out at McConahay's on the other side of SCP when they had KROQ parties. Richard Blade and Rodney Bingenheimer would DJ. They also had parties at Kingdom of the Dancing Stallions in Buena Park and Old World near Huntington Center. Lots of hairspray, black clothing and the smell of clove cigarettes wafting thru the air. Your old roommate must really love it there also. Last time I was at SCP was a hot summer day in '97 (I was in town for HS reunion) - that place was CRAWLING with people.
