...About what "Come" was about -

But at least one new Buckingham tune isn't aimed at Nicks. Rumor has it the barbed, bluesy "Come" - a showstopper in concert - is about another one of Buckingham's former girlfriends, actress Anne Heche. Is this true?

"Um, well, I mean, uh, well, since you're asking, I would have to say yes, it is," Buckingham replied.

Thank you

He'll say it's about anybody except Stevie. She hates the song. Didn't he say in an interview he asked Stevie to sing on it and she refused? Why not run with the Lafoon story? Good smoke screen don't ya know!

Stevie'd beat the hell out him with a tambo or kick her platforms right up his narrow ass if he were to say it was about her anyway. LMAO!

Besides, I'm sure Stevie always comes.

Blue Grass, where's that quote from? Just curious. That's really interesting. I'd like to read the whole interview.

I know Stevie said it wasn't about her, but doesn't that speak positively about Lindsey's, um, performance? That's how I took it. I didn't know she hated the song. But if she does, I suspect it's because it's very...not subtle. Her references to sexual stuff are more subtle or expressed metaphorically...so I can see how it's just not her style. I'm glad she didn't perform on it.

Like I said, Stevie always comes. She wasn't gonna stand up there and sing about something that isn't true for her, right? heehee

Well, if it was about Heche, that would explain it...I mean if she was a lesbian or leaning towards it at the time they were together, then obviously LB couldn't satisfy her.

Hooboy....did I accidentally stumble on the Penthouse Forum?

Rollo...you are completely mis-reading the lyrics "Think of me, sweet darlin, everytime that you don't come." It has nothing to do with Lindsey not satisfying Anne!!! That line is his kiss-off to her, because she went to do the "lesbian thing" when, in fact, she really wasn't one! Does it make sense now?

It could be either/or or both my friend. Just throwing out possibilities here. I truthfully don't give a damn what the song's about because it rocks. Believe me, I also have considered the explanation you provide as well, many times. A third person might think that he wants her to think about him every time she dosen't come to see him. So calm down.

Don't let my off the cuff remark with my tongue FIRMLY planted in cheek bother you so much.

And please don't take that tone with me. :D

Happy trails.

So you think it's about Stevie, too? She must think it herself if she ain't going there.

You know, I kinda always thought that he was saying, think of me when you don't come, cause you always did with me and now you can't without me. Does that make sense? Like, ok, you go on now and do your thing, but, you won't come without me....

That's what I was thinking. I still believe he's talking about our girl. ;)

This is how I see things......

"Um...Lindsey....uh...I know we usually don't discuss...ya know... the meaning of our lyrics with each other but...um...Is....that song....ya know...Come....uh...is that directed towards me"~Stevie

"Well....uh....actually.....no....why would you even think that?? Wait....you mean you used to......this whole time I thought you.....that wasn't real??"~Lindsey

"Oh no no...no...I didn't mean that like that....I was just....uh... concerned that people might get the wrong impression....ya know...i'm Stevie Nicks not Meg Ryan...and don't worry....you're REAL savage like"~Stevie

LMAO!!!!!!

This whole idea raises the question of just how many FM songs really ARE about Ms. Lafoon. Maybe we just never knew. Maybe she's been the great Muse to this band all along.
Could these have been the original working titles of the songs?:

(I'll be Chatting with God on the) Sunny Side of Heaven
Don't Stop Thinking about the Headlines
RhealEllen
(I've Contacted Several) Planets of the Universe
Goodbye Baby Homer
Gone Insane

- Jake
