"Peacekeeper" sees a little more movement this week than last.

Hot 100: #82 this week, #84 last week

Adult Contemporary: #10 this week, #13 last week

Adult Top 40: #16 this week, #17 last week

With a bullet on all three charts.

Hmmm - 'Peacekeeper' is flying up the charts like a bullet? How ironic.
Thanks for the good news.

On the Radio and Records Airplay Charts. Measured strictly by number of plays during the week on radio stations within the charted format.

Adult Contemporary #9 up from #11

Hot AC #16 up from #18

Adult Alternative or AAA #4 steady from last week, but an increase in plays.

"With a Bullet" means it has gained airplay over how many times it was played last week, not that it's FLYING up the charts. This is a good thing. Obviously, the more airplay Peacekeeper gets the more likely radio is to pick up any subsequent singles from the album. Peacekeeper got over 3100 plays on radio last week on AAA, AC and Hot AC combined (according to Radio & Records) whereas the new Madonna song "American Life" fell just short of 1900 plays last week and lost airplay. Maybe that will put it in a little better perspective for the doubters of it's airplay performance. Thanks for the info.

Brian, thanks for the input. Certainly gives me a new perspective on how it's doing.

I wonder if FM (or the promo powers that be) will wait until Peacekeeper begins to slip before releasing another "single".

I admit, this whole music business confuses the #%&* out of me. I mean, what's the difference between a "single" and some DJ simply deciding to play what he wants off the CD?

I don't get it.
