Thats great Livia! Our local stations play stuff from Rumours, but I hardly have heard the newer stuff. However, Im usually stuck on a tape or CD of some sort and dont listen to the radio frequently. I love WTWCT, Im glad its getting out there! Good beat and tempo. I hope Miranda gets released too.

This confuses me. WHY is it they can play NON-singles (apparently?) now all of a sudden on the radio? Are they playing Thrown Down, WTWCT, etc because the DJ LIKES the song, or are they getting requests? I don't understand radio I guess, I thought that they could ONLY play songs that were actual singles and stuff. Should we be emailing/calling for our local stations to play ANY new FM song????

heard anything from the Say You Will album, I know Debbie heard "Peacekeeper" one day on the radio...

But I think the problem in my area is that there is only 1 or 2 rock stations who will play the new Mac.

Too bad that country radio wouldnt play 'em..lol...Brian J.

Radio stations (especially ones that don't feel pressured by the corporations and have cool program directors) can play anything they want. Jody Denberg of KGSR has been in Austin a looooong time. When TISL came out, he told me he thought Every Day was too pop sounding for their AC format, so they played Too Far From Texas (a LOT). Then when Sorcerer offically became the 2nd single, they started playing that too....

You'd think the bands and record labels would be happy that any song gets played on radio...

And KGSR is like NO other radio station I know of...I talked to a friend of mine last nite who moved to DC about a year ago and KGSR is one of the things she misses most about Austin.

that you got to hear WTWCT on the radio, but I've given up on my local, rock radio station out of Atlantic City. The DJ/Program Director promised me that he'd play Peacekeeper even though he didn't like Lindsey lead vocals. So after about a week, I e-mailed him back saying you're supposed be impartial & play what the people want & obviously you're not b/c you still haven't played it. Never heard back from him after that, & I don't really care. After being a local listener to their station for years, I've been switching around the dial. And since then, I've heard Peacekeeper several times on the radio, mostly on "mix" stations. And you can bet when the Mac rolls into Atlantic City in May, you'll hear a lot of Mac on their station, maybe even Peacekeeper. When Bruce Springsteen came to town one day in March, you never heard so much of Bruce on their station, & before that, you hardly ever heard them play him. So I'm done with calling or e-mailing radio stations; the DJs only play what THEY like.
