what's your favorite line from a FM song?

It's too hard to pick one, so here are some:
Black as night, agony's torn at my heart too long
Dreams unwind, love's a state of mind
I've gotta get my feet back on the ground
Shatter you illusions
been down a one time, been down a two time, I'm never going back again
you don't know what it means to win
and he was just like a great dark wing within the wings of a storm
not all the prayers in the world save us
to be the last to leave, the last to be gone
the stiletto cuts quick, like a whip through the air
the train sings the same kind of blues
flyyyyy, to your castle in the sky
my first mistake was to smile at you
don't you know when you're in the mood
you may meet a man who can't do anything good
heroes are hard to find
in the never forgotten words
of another one of your friends

"I never change, I never will, I'm so afraid, the way I feel..."

"You don't belong here, I guess you never did..."

"Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise..."

"...how can I ever change things that I feel..."

"Rock on, gold dust woman..."

Dang, there's just TOOOOO many to list man. We could be here ALL day long. LOL

"we see no change in sight, watching her decline"
"how the faces of love have changed, and i have changed, oh but you, you remain ageless"
"i never change, i never will"
"i fall down, i get up; and i've always had to fight"
"all your life you've never seen a woman taken by the wind, would you stay if she promised you heaven, will you ever win"
"tusk!"

And if you don't love me now
you will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain

~There's no use in crying, it's all over. and i know there'll always be another day~

~And the songbirds keep singing, like they know the score~

~Save us...cause not all the prayers in the world, can save us~

~You say it will be harder in the morning. I wait for you to say, just go. Your hands held mine so few hours...and I'm not a child anymore~

~Tell me who wrote the book of love? Was it somebody from above?~

~you see your gypsy...lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice...and it all comes down to you~

~Faith is a hard thing to hold on to, something inside says I don't have to~

~So come on, let's go, let's run away, if that's all, all there is, oh steal your heart away~

these are just a few,lol....there are so many!

Too many, but here are a few:

Do you always trust your first, initial feeling?

So I close my eyes softly, till I become that part of the wind ~ that we all long for sometime...

Sara, your the poet in my heart.

Never take your love away!!!!

I dont want no damage, but how Im gonna manage you?

I still see your bright eyes.

So I go insane.

What Im really enjoying about this thread is reading all of your responses. Some of us have the same song but different parts of that song.

And a song begins to begin like a wolf on the run

And it all comes down to you

To the gypsy that remains

I'll never live to see the beauty, the beauty, the dancing beauty again

At the risk of my feelings, dreamers in the night

It doesn't matter what for

I'm running in brilliant colors

But never have I been a blue calm sea
I have always been a storm

Come on baby could you ever be
Just a little close to me

So it's time to go on to the rain
And finally break the chain

Buy another fixture, tell another lie

Like a charmed hour and a haunted ong

The stars must be my friends to shine for me

I'm just second-hand news

Rock on, ancient queen
Follow those who pale in your shadow

(Honorable Mention: Stevie's jibberish in SOTM in Mirage concert video - sounds cool)

~Don't take me to the tower, and take my child away...It was I who was the hourglass and sands of time like shattering glass went past me, like a tunnel to the sea.~

~Did she make you cry, make you break down, shatter your illusions of love?~

~When times go bad, when times go rough, won't you lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff.~ lol. :D

~I'll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you.~

~all of Storms~

~And so you run towards what you know is wrong, there are too many flowers to cut down. For the love I have for your life, turn around.~

Geez.....I could go on and on. And on. Those are some of my faves, though. :D

i forgot to add, "and the songbirds keep singing like the knew the score," from the end of the song. i think it's great how christine goes from saying "know" to "knew". i don't know if this is on the studio version or a live version i've heard.

also like "well if you build your house, then please call me, ohhhhhhohhhoh sara"

There are too many great ones to count. But, I must say I always return at some point to every word, soung, gesture, and note of Christine's Why, esp. the live version with Stevie and LB.
