Quite possibly the worst FM song I have ever heard, not including any of Mick Fleetwoods efforts ;)
Vocally, lyrically and musically a big bag of ****e!!!!
I am positive Stevie had alot more better songs than that for the album, the song actually makes me feel ill listening to it, so it has now become the only song I HAVE to skip on the album
This is of course only my opinion, what does everyone else think about this song?

Have you ever heard of a song called "When I see you again?" What about "Empire State?" "Sugar Daddy?" Trust me, it does get worse than Silver Girl...
I hated SG when I first heard it just because it really is such a downer on an otherwise heavy album. But if you give it a fiar shot alone, eh, it's not so bad. Not that I don't skip it myself sometimes ;)

I think it's a great song. Like someone said before, the lyrics look rather blah on paper, but the song just works. Stevie delivers a very nice vocal on it so I'm a bit confused as to why you wouldn't like that aspect of the song. She sounds great to me.
I don't know, there's just something about the song I really like. I can't even put my finger on it. It is one of my favorites on SYW. :)

At first listen I thought Silver Girl was boring, it didn“t have as many hooks as the other songs did on this album. But after repeated listens, it becomes a very nice song in my opinion, not her best, but lovely to listen to.
In my opinion Paper Doll is her worst Mac track ever!! The fact that that song even got chosen to be on the Very Best of cd goes beyond my imagination!! What about Fireflies or Angel instead?!!

I also like the song...even when I first heard it....granted it's not the most rockin' and lively song ever...but her vocals are good and the lyrics are good too...IMO....so yeah...lol...I can honestly say, actually, that I don't dislike any of the songs on SYW....Red Rover has even grown on me...:)

'when i see you again' has to be the worst FM song ever. i've always maintained if 'you and i part I' was put on TITN instead of 'when...', the album would have been near perfect (i don't mind 'welcome...').

I don't really like this song much. I think I don't like it for the same reason I don't like Alice.... it seems to go on and on............... Kinda monotone, or something?

When I hear the beginning off this song, before I run to the CD player to push skip, I get the sensation of nails running down the chalkboard. I just dont like this song. I would have liked a
BN song instead in this spot.

Not as bad as "Family Man"... but down there with "Empire State", "These Strange Times" and "When I See You Again"... definitely one of their worst, I have to agree.

I like it, but it shouldn't be right after such a rocking song.
Would somebody explain the lyric about the papers that were never signed? (marriage certificate?)
I know I'll be blasted, but I think SG would have been a better solo song. It needs better harmonies & layers rather than such a straightforward delivery. It doesn't go anywhere. Especially in the final repeats of the chorus, it's missing the pay-off that the song should be building towards. It reminds me of a demo of If Anyone Falls before all the background layers were put on.
But like I said, I like it. It's just not done.
