Since there is a "Why is everyone so negative?" thread, I thought I'd go ahead and make a "Let's be positive" thread. Sound cool?

I am HAPPY that FM's Peacekeeper was played on the radio and I heard it like 11 times in the Dallas/Fort Worth area!! I expected to only hear it maybe ONCE!!

Thrown Down was heard on Friends (I don't think this show is NEAR as popular as it use to be, but it's still got it's die hard fans so MANY heard the song!!)

Peacekeeper was heard on Third Watch (seems like AGES ago!! LOL)!!

Lindsey, Stevie, Mick and John look GREAT for their age. Yeah, they looked tired (esp. Miss Stevie) on Leno, but she looks TERRIFIC for her age!! Lindsey is just THE sexiest man on the planet (along with Brad Pitt and Justin Guarini..hehe, but Lindsey is my #1!!) and his smile on Leno just melted me...sigh....

THEY SOLD A BUTTLOAD OF ALBUMS LAST WEEK!! :blob1::blob2:

They've been on TV A LOT!!!!! I missed the very beginning of them on E Entertainment, but it'll be back on tomorrow, so I'll catch it again...but anyways, YAY!!!!!!!!! We got Today Show, Leno, E Entertainment, Dateline, heard on TV shows, they'll be on VH1 on May 6th...so WOOHOO!!!

THE NEW ALBUM ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

They are in A LOT of magazines!!!!!!!!!!

Stevie is wearing her BOOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lindsey is wearing LEATHER PANTS on the cover of SYW!!!!!!!!!!!

Lindsey is doing A LOT of radio interviews/magazines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buckingham Nicks is coming out on CD in the next year (Yes, we've heard it all before, but I think it'll happen this time!!!!)!!!!!

They are remastering some of the albums ADDING BONUS TRACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mick is wearing RED SHOES and cracking my butt up!!!! LOL

Lindsey is STILL wearing his shirts MOSTLY UNBUTTONED!!!!! ;):D:D

John's bass playing on the album is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Esp. on Smile at You and Come!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLUS, he answered questions on FM.com!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, ya'll's turn....POSITIVITY FOLKS!!!!

I'm happy that Say Goodbye and Running Through the Garden made it onto the new album!

Say Goodbye: OHMIGOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lindsey's BEST song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV it!!!!

RTTG: One of my favorite Stevie demos and they didn't disappoint on the album version! I can only imagine how much better it would be with the dual vocals! Then it would be one of the best songs in the world. :)

And, on a personal note, I'm happy, happy, happy because I just found out 5 MINUTES AGO that I got a part-time internship for the summer at an interior design firm in New York!!!!! Don't know which firm yet, but I'll get the details soon!!!! You better believe I'm jamming to Say Goodbye right now, too!

LMAO!!! Yeah, I like to SOUND OFF myself a lot...and lately, I've REALLY wanted to since things haven't been going really great for me lately. I lost my job (my last day is tentatively Wednesday) and I kinda had a fight with my mom the other night, and I've been stressing a lil, but IT'S ALL GOOD, I have the MAC to listen to, to help me through it!!

It's good for us to be CRITICAL of our fave band but I just needed a lil positivity, ya know? I'm listening to the AOL Session (LE version) of Peackeeper and SYW and they sound GREAT, I think the Today Show/Leno were just flukes...I truly do believe they are going to sound KICK-A$$ on the tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANYWAYS, I'm glad ya'll are adding to this thread...I love Say Goodbye, TERRIFIC song, I've loved it since the second I heard the GOS version!!

ROCK ON MAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blob1::blob2:

I'm so sorry, Christy. :( I hope everything is alright and that you find another job soon and that you work everything out with your Mom. Hang in there, things will get better eventually. After all, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger! :p Best of luck, sweetie!

Christy, will everything you said especially with Lindsey's buttoned down shirts on Leno , but despite having a relatively bad year so far, I am so looking forward to seeing the Mac on May 19th in Philly, my first Mac show.

I love my limited edition of Say You Will. This makes me happy; I can not stop playing it.

And I'm looking forward to finally getting to take a week's vacation this year in June.

Yeah, sorry to here about your job loss, Christy. Things happen for a reason; you'll get a better job.

CONGRATS dissention on the internship!!

Thanks dissention, I'll be fine. My job is helping me out with another job which is very similar to the one I have, only I'll be working AT HOME!!!! I am really only upset because I'll miss my co-workers, I've grown VERY close to them and Wed. will be VERY HARD on us. :( It's just that it came so quickly, no warning really. We all joke around about it now, but come Wed...I dread the crying, because I HATE crying!!! LOL

My faith in God, along with the Mac's music is keeping me in good spirits!

I really love Lindsey's Love Minus Zero/No Limit on the LE version!! It's really beautiful AND I LOVE his guitar on NMB too!! ALSO, his version of SYHA acoustic on the CD (when you put it in the computer) is just GORGEOUS!!!! I would LOVE to have that clip as an mp3, and WHY didn't they give us the ENTIRE song?!!?! THAT PROVES that Lindsey STILL sounds GORGEOUS!!!!!! Go watch it ya'll!!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I graduated, the hall WAS a flood of thears! It sucks when you get close to people and then life rears its ugly head. But, then it just makes you cherish those people more. Stay in touch with 'em, you don't ever want to regret having time on your hands when you could be in the company of friends. That's what my mother always said to me! LOL Eat some chocolate or rent a funny movie, just keep smiling! Shelley Long and Bette Midler always make me laugh when I'm in the worst mood :) Or Dolly Parton; I love that chick!

Keep your head high!

I'm glad for a record with 18 new songs by my favorite band. I love Destiny Rules and RTTG. I don't think it's too long. When you don't make a record for 15 years that's okay.

Congrats Dissention on your internship ! I basically do what you're setting out to do, but for movies and tv. It's a great job !

I love Dolly too. It kills me that she and Stevie have never recorded together. I know Dolly loves Stevie - I have met her a few times and she told me herself !

Sparky's Happy Stuff

Everybody Finds Out !

Miranda !

2 (!) versions of Thrown Down.

Taking my sister and niece to the Portland show.

Going to Staples show with my great pal - whom I met at an AHI benefit.

A pal gave me GOS today and I love Down on Rodeo. Officially my favorite LB song of all time.

A cool gig next week with two good friends.

Lots more, but this is a start !

I'm happy that they gave me some kickass music to listen to, a chance to see them in concert....TWICE! I'm happy that Lindsey is still the sexiest man alive IMHO (yea, that's right, i'd care to be "Thrown Down" by Lindsey....lmao) and that Stevie is looking fabulous and sounding great...i haven't seen her since 98 (had to sell my TISL concert tickets) so this is VERRRY EXCITING!!!! WOO WOOO!!! And i'm finally going to see John and Mick.....I want to like, throw something to John on stage in hopes that he'll talk...lol. YEA FM!!!!!

I love Miss Dolly too!!! She's my fave country singer and I don't like a lot of country music. "Here You Come Again" is my fave DP song! That's so cool to hear that Dolly likes Stevie!! I wish that the demo for After the Glitter Fades would have gotten to Dolly and she would have done it. :(

Sparky, I've always heard that Dolly is a SWEET person, I'd LOVE to meet her one day!!

Garden...Yep, he IS SO the sexiest man alive!!! If you haven't seen the new Guitar World photo of him in a different shirt, you HAVE to!!!!! YUM!!! I'll try to scan it in a minute and post it, if it works for me, Yahoo has been a butthead lately. Thrown Down by Lindsey...sounds good to me! LOL Don't think Kristen would like it, but whatever, it's just a fantasy anyways. LOL

I don't think the album is too long, we don't get an album a year so it's AWESOME to have 18 songs!! It's like having two albums, so YAY!!!!

I'm happy and thankful that they are all in good health.
(we've lost quite a few performers close to their age in the last couple of years :( )

I'm happy they can stand to be around one another long enough to give us Say You Will, and stand on a stage together!!!

I'm happy they took a BIG risk and made an edgy, contemporary, DIFFERENT album. I respect that so much, and would even [if] it didn't suit my taste.

I'm happy that these new songs pass my basic tests of: 1)soundin GREAT on the beach, at sunset, with some friends, partying and dancing by a big bonfire. 2)sounds GREAT cruisin' Ocean Blvd. blaring!!! some awesome Summer Tunes on this cd! 3)makin' me wanna move...BOOGIE happily, in my house alone!

and last but not least, I'm VERY happy about my 11th row seats, and would be even if they were in wheelchairs and Mick was wearing Stevie's funeral dress, as long as they're up there tryin'!!
peace~

wahoo...I'm happy, because in 2 days time, hopefully SYW is going to be released here and my copy won't be too far off from being thrown thru my letterbox!!!!!:D
And...I'm happy, that Lindsey seems to be....he's been SO publicly mushy lately..awwww, there's nothing nicer than a mushy man;)
ooohhh, and I caught them on Leno, last night...I thought they were really quite good, but whoever said S&L were tooooo far apart were right! C'mon guys..lets get those micros alot closer:D

Warning - sentimental post :]

I am so happy not to be running toward what/who I know is really really wrong anymore and thank goodness for Stevie/FM's song to help see the light in that aspect.

I also really thank them for this new record for while not perfect (what is?) it really has helped, guided, and caused great joy; more than they will ever know.

I'm so, so grateful that Goodbye Baby made it on this album. Even though it makes me cry, it's rather cathartic, in a way.

I'm thankful for all the other great, ROCKIN' songs on this album...especially RTTG and EFO....ah, LOVE those two!

I'm happy about all the publicity they've been getting...it's been GREAT seeing them, and I'll be jumping for joy and yelling like crazy when I see them next time and Stevie's turned towards Linds, singin' her heart out to him. :D 'Course, he's gonna be looking at her, too... :D

They all look wonderful...especially Stevie and Lindsey...and I actually love Stevie's hair now. She's still a very beautiful woman. Hope I look half that good when I'm her age. :D And Lindsey....wow. The man's just gorgeous.

I am soooo happy that they even decided on doing this album in the first place.....That they seem to have worked out their differences....because the album IS wonderful. And I'm really happy that they've talked about doing another after this. I hope like hell they do.

Production on the entire album ranges from good to excellent.

I'm satisfied with the album

A lot of the things I'm happy about have been stated, but I'll reiterate a few:

I'm SOOO happy the Mac is not only putting out NEW MATERIAL but TOURING to support it! I really thought I Missed my only chance to see them when I got into them after the Dance had ended. My timing was always off, but NOW it's FINALLY HAPPENING! YES!!!

And I'm SO pleased the new album as a whole is overall better than any Mac album since Rumours!

Little things:
-I love the album cover.
-I love that Lindsey still dresses so darn cool, and that, just for me and Christy, he leaves those shirts unbuttoned and puts on tight jeans lol. And the necklace looks very cool, too.
-I love that Lindsey can still play guitar like no one else alive (or dead!)
-I love that Stevie's voice is even BETTER than it was for TISL
-I love that RTTG made an album, never thought I'd see that day!
-I love what Lindsey did with Thrown Down.
-I love Red Rover and Come, I also thought those wouldn't make the album
-I love that Stevie is still unselfishly wearing boots lol
-I love that FM still has the ability to debut at #3 and surpass all industry expectations
-I love EFO so much that I think it is the best Stevie song in YEARS, since "Battle of the Dragon" (don't get me wrong, I love songs like "Ooh My Love," "Too Far From Texas," "Trouble in Shangri-La," and others, I just like this one better)
-I love that SYHA finally made it onto an official album, as it is one of my top 25 Lindsey songs ever.
-I love that FM are getting so much press and promotion, and that places like Burnish.net allow me to see all the videos and hear all the interviews that I've missed

I LOVE FLEETWOOD MAC!

I am happy with the new album...and so very grateful that it was reasonably priced...so much so that I splurged and bought the LE..and it ROCKS! And I am happy that the album has grown on me to the extent it has....it is brilliant and I love it lol!!!

I am happy that I *might* get to see them in concert....

OOh!! I love Dolly Parton too...and was also happy to hear that she is a Stevie fan...I have to say...those two are top two females in the music biz....they rock....

ok....well..for the past two weeks my goal in life is to look at things more positively and try not to be so negative...so yea....thanks for the cool thread!

-SYW really, really ROCKS. It totally exceeded my expectations which were already high.
-Lindsey did exactly what I wanted him to do with the GOS demos that made it on to SYW. He left most of them alone except for the parts that needed Stevie harmonies. I am overjoyed at this, and the songs sound better on cd than I could have possibly imagined.
-Lindsey still works the magic on Stevie's songs. What he did to Thrown Down, Smile At You, RTTG and EFO is just mind-blowing, to name a few. Stevie crafted these incredible songs and Lindsey matched that with his production.
-Lindsey's leaving his shirt slightly unbuttoned and wears tight jeans and glances at Stevie when he sings and gets mushy. All that stuff I love. :D
-Stevie looks fabulous and slender and healthy. And she's wearing her hair straight again.
-There are great websites that totally make my day- The Penguin, Neil's site, Nancy's site, Burnish, and Sararhiannon's. AWESOME:thumbsup:
-I get to go to the Worcester 5/27 show with my brother who is also a big fan (and has grown out his curly hair to have a Lindsey 'do...it's soooooo nice!)
-And of course, I get to read all of your posts on the Ledge. Some make me fume, others have me ROTFLMAO, but they all make me smile. A visit to the ledge is an integral (not "intrigal," LOL!!!!) part of my day :).

I too have had a really stressful couple of weeks. In fact on April 15, all this s**t hit the fan at my job and a bunch of people quit, saddling me with a huge extra workload and stressing me out a lot so it's been rough. But that was the same day SYW came out and it's been helping me get through all this by injecting bursts of joy (with each listen) into my crappy days.

...we finally got a new album! And it's great. Totally exceeded my expectations.

...of a better version of SYHA. One of my favourie GOS tracks, but it was so darned quiet on my copy.

...the band members are healthy, happy [I think... ], and can stand to be around each other for long periods of time.

...Lindsey's still HOT. I mean, wow. The unbuttoned shirts, the pants, the hair. Although he does need a sandwich.

...despite her frumpy attire, Stevie's still a babe.

I'm happy because

1) SYW came out during a very lonely time in my life...
2) I have the Ledge to come to everyday and that it has both "I'm a fanatic fan and I love the Band" and "you think the critics are tough, here's my take" threads
3) plus all the other great fansites out there burnish, sararhiannon, UK fm and more
4) RTTG is finally sounding great to me as it always should since the demo is one of my favs
5) Goodbye Baby is beautiful as I thought it would be and it makes me more happy then sad
6) getting a kick out of reading the "I love Lindsey because he's sexy" threads and most of those fans are young ladies
7) hubby & I bought great tix to the NY show...Yeah!!
8) positive feedback from non-fanatic FM fans who hear me play the album all day in my office
9) for people in their 50's, they're all healthy and still doing what we love
10) Thrown Down on Friends sounded so now!!!

bonus) looking forward to seeing a video on VH1 even if it means getting up early

I am incredibly excited that Fleetwood Mac even made a new album. Who ever thought that would happen? I am incredibly pleased that Lindsey found a vehicle to get out most of his album on, and that Stevie got some wonderful songs out too. I love her Everybody Finds Out, and WISH there was some way to ask the band to PLAY IT LIVE, as we already know of some amazing wonders Lindsey has up his sleeve.

I am very much looking forward to seeing the tour. NOTHING will keep me from going to that. I don't give a rip about what Stevie or Lindsey are wearing! LOL!

And while I certainly DO miss Christine McVie and hope they will consider adding a second keyboardist and maybe add Lori Nicks into the mix for vocal support, I know this band is going to knock us out.

BRING IT ON!
