WEll that was ...ok.
Lindsey looks amazing, amazing!
Stevie was very demure and her hair had TONS of split ends...she didn't look like herself at all. But she is really thin I must say.
Their singing...ok...playing...good.
All in all, out of 5 I give it a 3. What do you all think??

well, i dislike how they changed the lyric to "take no prisoners, break their will" tonight (and on the today show). otherwise, i really enjoyed it!

I'm giving 'em a 3 outta 5 also...The low point was the "Break Their Will" line at the end of the song, Otherwise it was an average performance...Maybe tomorrow nite will be better, Brian J.

They really need to stop performing this song. It is soooo boring.
I cant imagine anyone would want to buy the album after watching the performance.
They didn't play badly, but this song lacks energy.
i'd give it a 3 out of 5 as well.
I really hope they dont make SYW the next single.

First off, Peacekeeper sounds awful live. It just sucks, IMO, no matter where or how it's performed. However, Lindsey sounded fantastic after a shaky start. He really did good. Stevie, on the other hand, sounded HORRID. She was just awful; she just stood there and sung without any passion or enthusiasm. Her voice failed her this time around, she was awful. Lindsey looked very youthful and full of energy; he seemed happy. Stevie looked like she'd rather be somewhere else, very bored. She was just...there. Plus, that dress with that hair didn't look too good.
Overall:
FM: 2 1/2 stars
LB: 4 stars
Stevie: a hard earned 1 star (very disappointed)

They are so much better than that.
And did anyone else notice Jay had the CD upside down?
Not that it matters, but it was funny to me.
I can't imagine anyone other than us being excited about that performance.

It was okay...I would have preferred a Stevie song. But considering tomorrow is that all US soldiers thingy, "Peacekeeper" wouldn't have been a wise choice to play then considering its anti-war base. I think using the "break their will" line is a plus in the song--Lindsey is obviously trying to get something across with that. If you noticed, he held his hand up when he said it at the very end of the song. Very awesome.:)
Both of them are looking better than ever...especially Stevie continuing the dress-shaking thing. I couldn't believe how funny the rest of the show was also..."Cats shouldn't have rights, cause they don't use the toilet.":p I hope they consider starting to perform a new song live. Maybe "Everybody Finds Out.":)

I thought it was okay. Again, the song just lacks the ooomph that the band needs to bring to the stage in a two-song outing.
Lindsey - obviously enjoys playing this song, I'm still getting used to the way his voice sounds these days, but he was certainly muh better than last week
Mick - looked very into it, & either didn't make psycho faces or the camera avoided him at those moments
John - I hardly noticed him, just how he'd like it
Stevie - I'll hold back my comments on Newdress for now. She looked beautiful (face looked rounder than usual, maybe due to the hairstyle, but she's still thin despite the presumable lack of exercise on the hip) & sounded fine. I just wish she'd dance, at least during the guitar parts. I'm not asking for a high kick, but boogie a little. She did it on VH1 Storytellers.

Oh God, he did have the cd upside down, but does it matter?
Lindsey is HOT, can I say that ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But Stevie, beautiful Stevie, she needs to go out right now, cut 6 inches from her hair and buy a new outfit. Her and Lindsey need to switch outfits. Did he even iron it after wearing it to bed the night before?????
I love them so much that its cool to poke fun. They still rock. JUST not tonight.

Stevie looked great....so did Linds. Anyone think she looks like she's lost *more* weight? Really liking her hair, too.
They sounded good, both Stevie and Lindsey. But in my opinion....Peacekeeper is just boring live.

Ohmigod! NyQuil had better watch out, Stevie's going to put them outta business if she keeps it up! What has happened to her lately? She has NO energy, no passion, no enthusiasm, no oomph, no new clothes. What happened, Stevie?!?! After that performance, I wonder if she even knows what a key is. She just stood there and half warbled, half talked in a very low, meek voice. But I'm glad you liked her, Sharon! :) :D

Doesn't matter but did anyone notice her split ends? I just thought she wasn't herself. Maybe she isn't feeling well..thats the impression I got. Maybe they are nervous? I don't understand...but with a song like Peacekeeper...they can't shine anyway.

Maybe Stevie is not loving singing Peacekeeper like we're not loving hearing it.... man, it really is a boring song. Ugh. WHY did they pick that as a single. There were other songs on the album were just as safe but less boring [SYHA, SYW, TD,BTLH] as well as some more interesting and exciting stuff [EFO keeps leaping to mind].. lordy....
Actually, many people who are hearing the album really like Steal Your Heart Away...

Stop it!! Stevie having Lindseys baby! The beauty of it!
They could be on the cover of Rolling Stone...stevie wearing a black maternity dress and Lindsey holding a guitar totally disinterested.
Stevie complains, Lindsey rather play guitar then talk to our unborn child!

Peacekeeper AGAIN?!?!?!?!?!?
I think this song's alright, and it could be good live if they got it down a bit better, but AGAIN?!?!?!?!? Over the past six years, FM has played a total of five songs on national television, and two of them were THE SAME SONG. WTF????
I thought they sounded a helluva lot better than they did on Today. Not perfect, but better. And I thought Stevie's hair looked just fine. I'm still getting used to the curls, but it looks good.
They'll probably do a song from the new album tomorrow... after all, they're trying to promote the new album, right? I think they should do Smile at You or Everybody Finds Out. But if they do SYW AGAIN...

Those eyes, that smiles...I was a goner after seeing that smile at the end!!!!!! THANK YOU GOD for making that man so gorgeous!!!!!!!! :D:D:D
Stevie didn't look into it (from what I did get to watch/record), she seemed bored and like "Eh, whatever." Mick was really into it and Lindsey seemed to be too! Stevie's hair...um...no comment. LOL Yikes, is all I'll say.

Poochwise it is hard to say what's going on under there.
For crying out loud, that get-up has so many layers she could be hiding Osama Bin Laden under it.
Sorry to say it, but that little gig was dull.
What is up with Lindsey ? His singing is flat. On Today, and this show, he hit a lot of sour notes. Maybe he has a cold and can't hear himself.
These recent performances aren't going to sell anyone an album.
Does someone need to drag that velvet bag out from under the soundboard ?
Someone do something, anything, to charge this group up a bit !

Kinda funny that Stevie used to get ridiculed endlessly for being a "rock chick cum fashion maven," and now that she's toned down that part of her stage image, she gets ragged about that.
The poor woman can never win.
Anyway, I thought that band sounded fine... nothing extraordinary, but certainly not awful either.
But yes, "Peacekeeper" seems to be turning into a rather mundane song when performed live. Which is weird for Fleetwood Mac, because their songs usually have more crunch on stage.
I noticed some people are commenting that Stevie hasn't been putting any "passion" into her singing on "Peacekeeper," but keep in mind it's not her song. Lindsey's the lead, and she's just providing harmony vocals for him... which requires a more subdued performance on her end.
If she did "go off," then she's probably get blasted for trying to upstage L.B.... so it's another one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations.
Hopefully we'll get a more energetic performance from both of them tomorrow night.
As for the more aesthetic aspects... Stevie, to me, looks slimmer than she has in YEARS. Even more so than on 'The Dance.'
But yeah, i'll admit that I'd love to see her mix up her wardrobe a little more. Some reds instead of always wearing black. And something a little different with her hairstyle (she's letting her bangs grow out, but it's not very flattering to her).
And Lindsey? Woof! He is getting hotter and hotter every time I see him (and I used to think his peak "hottie" years were around '73-'78).
Looking forward to tomorrow night! :D

You took the words right out of my mouth - she cannot win for losing in this situation. I think it is way cool and totally respectful of her not to draw attention to herself (which like it or not she clearly could do with one twirl or one banshee wail  ) from LB during "his" FM song. I see this as similar to the way she sort of backs up and watches LB during his guitar solos like in GYOW. I mean if she danced her ass off during this part of GYOW (oh the days), she would be totally blasted and if I was LB, I would not appreciate it. That is his FM moment.
Also, I did not hear one out of key note from La Nicks, which cannot be said for LB (painfully flat at times to my ears). But, in my opinion LB has never really been about great singing as long as he has that great guitar!
I am also glad "they" put on key that other male voice that was way off key on the Today show.
All in all, I thought it was a good performance of a lackluster song. Maybe it would not be so lackluster if they quickened the pace of it live. Maybe they also should stand closer than ten feet apart. That might ignite some flames!!!!
Maybe I didn't get the full effect because I just watched the video stream, but am I missing something here? I thought they all did great. It didn't seem boring and I thought Stevie looked good. I noticed her hand movements are back (I guess it was too cold on the TS for them) Anyway, I think we could be a little more forgiving towards the band we love. I mean, come on, are they really THAT bad?

No, they are not bad. I just think they could try harder to look exciting, which we all know they clearly can do even at their age (no slam intended). Of course, LB and, more so, La Nicks could read the phone book from the stage and I would experience joy and excitment on some level!!!!

Fair is fair: Stevie sounded better than Lindsey. But when you have a handful of words to sing as opposed to the whole song, you're dealing with less pressure. It is easier to get in key once someone else has already started singing. Not to mention that Lindsey is also playing guitar.
Why the surprise at Lindsey's live voice? Do you think it really sounds that great on the Dance? His rendition of Tusk particularly leaves something to be desired. In fairness, he does a great job on things like Bleed to Love Her, but overall Lindsey has more of a studio voice. He has to practice and practice to get it right. When he gets in front of an audience with a loud band behind him, he tends to compensate by singing higher than he should and it comes out strained. Notice how much better he sounds when it's just him and his guitar.
Peacekeeper performances have indeed been lackluster. I fear the studio arrangement simply doesn't work live for this song. It's almost as it Lindsey needs to put more beef in his guitar and one of the background guys should play the riff. Speeding it up a few beats wouldn't hurt either.
Hmmm... Could it be that we're reacting to the absence of Christine subconsciously?
They should have brought Sheryl along.

I disagree in that although the lead vocal in Peacekeeper is somewhat tricky with the drawn out words, the harmony is harder to sing; harmony parts usually are. LB does make the mistake of volume to compensate for the loudness, etc. but, again, I do like it when he sings - I just think he could do better with some lessons/coaching - Stevie certainly bit the bullet and took them
I so miss Christine if for no other reason than they look un-united and somewhat disjointed in the front. They need to move those mikes closer and give it a little reaction value.

Harmony is not easy, granted. My point is that it is easier to start singing in key when someone else is already singing. Notice how he adjusted his voice after the first few words. He heard himself and made a correction. Very common. Good thing he heard himself, otherwise the performance might have really sucked. And I've seen that happen.

I'm gonna get flamed for this, but here's what needs to happen if FM is gonna perform great live again:
Stevie and Lindsey need to start having an affair immediately. That is, if they're not already. And if they are already, Lindsey needs to bump it up a few notches, maybe pop a viagra or two, who knows.
The reason is because I have come to the conclusion that they are only interseting when singing/bitching at each other. That's why The Dance was so great with Silver Springs and everything. Even Bleed to Love Her could have been misconstrued as Lindsey longing for Stevie. And while Peacekeeper is a fabulous song, it inspires absolutely none of the passion that we all want to see. And guess what, that IS what the public wants to see. Why do you think we have to watch endless interviews about their relationship that took place 30 years ago. Sex sells.
So, S&L, let's start the affair, and let's pull out Thrown Down, EFO, Bleed To Love Her, Smile At You, Come, and let's sell it to the audience. Explode at each other on stage! Ditch Peacekeeper and SYW, unless Stevie is going start singing it more to Lindsey.

There was no excuse whatsoever for those RAL era costumes she wore, they were atrocious. They were so ugly they made peoples eyes hurt! So, comments made about those were justified. Nowadays though, she has completely gotten rid of her image and style. Now it's just plain black, nothing "gypsy" about her garb these days. She didn't tone it down, she obliterated it. People expect her to wear clothes that complement her mystical music BECAUSE she is Stevie Nicks. When she gets rid of that image, of course people are going to say something, as they have every right to.
Regardless of whether or not it was her song and she was only harmonizing, her harmony SUCKED. She was off-key, lazy, and bored. That surprised me because she is such a good harmony singer. Just because it wasn't her song, that didn't mean she couldn't put passion into it. She's in a GROUP, someone elses song should be treated as her own. She should put 100% into what she's doing. What I saw last night, along with a few others, was horrid. She's become incredibly boring and blah to watch these days. She needs her oomph. Her vocal was atrocious and I'd hate to hear what non-fans thought. She's trying to sell an album, just like the others; she needs to put in a performance that is going to do that. Last night, she completely missed the mark. It was painful.

Um, I was joking wth Sharon about what co-workers would say about the show last night; I wasn't being serious. :) I don't blame Steve at all everytime I do't like a performance. What I've been saying for awhile now is that LATELY she's become boring. She lost oomph in her performances. I thought she was better than LB on the Today show, so stop making assmptions and attacking me for my opinions. You may have thought she was good, I didn't. Those are only opinions, not facts. I prefer Stevie to Lindsey, but she hasn't good live lately. THAT'S what I've been saying. You need to realize when people are joking with others.

I agree with you about the lack of passion - that sucked all around.
However, I studied voice for over ten years and have sung everything opera (albeit poorly  ) to full out rock and roll. Although I can sing lead well, harmony was always my real deal. Although it is hard to tell with her type of voice, I did not hear Stevie go off key once. Perhaps you have a specific example? No slam meant, I am just curious as to what parts you think she was off key because I did not hear it.

No slam taken! :) I thought she was off-key particularly during the chorus and the line "You know all of our friends are gods." At least to these ears. :) I taped it, I'll watch it again later and see if I can spot anymore times. I hope she does well on Say You Will tomorrow; it was great on the Today show.

I'll have to go back and listen as well. You know the funny thing about Stevie's voice (which is an odd but good instrument) is she seemingly is all over the place sometimes, esp. when she harmonizes with herself like in Smile at You (Don't ask me Why . . . ." In fact, for the Steet Angel tour, I thought I distinctly heard pre-recorded harmony with her voice on the Letterman show. Oh La Nicks!!!!
Geez, I taped it last night as I had to go to bed, but now I'm almost afraid to watch the tape tonight! Were they really that bad?

She does all kinds of funky things with her voice. I thik it deends on what mod she's in on a particular night. One minute she can sound like on The Dance, then sound like she was on the TISL tour. Stevie, Stevie, Stevie! LOL You're absolutely right. :)

Hell yea!! I just listened to the original LB-only version of Peacekeeper, and it sounds like it's been put on fast-forward!! I didn't realise how MUCH they slowed it down for the album. They should have kept it at its original pace...it would have been SOOO much better...especially for live performances....would've rocked out so much more!

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but the Leno sucked so bad that it was hard to stay awake for the Mac! Bill Mahr is so over the top with everything and is just so pleased with himself. Ugh.
As for the Mac - I thought it was a better performance than the Today show. However, both the song on Leno and the Today show started off rough. LB can't seem to get the right notes out to start the song. Just like on GYOW. By the end of the song, he seemed to be on track.
Lindsey looked good. He played well. He just didn't sing as well as he could have. It looks like he is really enjoying it - I loved the smile at the end of the song.
Stevie seemed subdued. I think both she and LB were nervous last night and on the Today show. It kinda shows, IMO. Her vocals were ok, but not as good as the Today show. What I did not like was her ugly cardigan with the white buttons. It looks like something my grandmother wears! Her hair was kinda funky too. I just like it nice and straight.
Here's to hoping tonight's performance is better.

For me, if the attitude is over the top, I just stop listening to the message! He is just way too full of self-importance for my liking. Its like I get distracted by what an ass he is making of himself and then I could care less about what is coming out of his mouth!

I agree, I really like Mr. Maher's point of view, but I could leave the smugness aside. Interestingly, I feel the same way about Bill O'Reilly, in that they both call a spade a sapde in my opinion. Actually, I find their points of view are not that wildly different in the end or at least not as different as you would think - but that is just me. But, then again, I think liking them both qualifies me for a nice visit to that rather sterile place with the funny jacket that makes me hug my schizophrenic selfs

I can't stand Bill O'Reilly. Him and his "No Spin Zone" that he uses to spin EVERYTHING. That is a smug man. It doesn't help that he's on Fox News Channel either. I wonder if he put in any requests for Iraqi art.

I hate to say it. This performance did nothing to change the image they presented on the Today show. They seem like a tired, old, ex-supergroup, partially reformed one last time to see how much cash they can stuff into their 401k's before fading away to the Indian casino circuit.
Maybe these folks are just boring unless they have something to rant and rave about? The Dance tour was undertaken with some of the usual underlying emotional turmoil that's now resolved, more or less. The band also suffered the tension of not knowing if they could mesh well again. They pulled off a great reuinion after a short but potent rehersal period. I'm not sure lack of rehersal or practice is the problem now. They could be too comfortable and too familiar with one another after the long studio time it took to get this record out. It seems like they perform on auto pilot or something. Stevie just sleepwalks through her performances now, and LB strains a lot to get something going to no avail.
Sorry, but I have to call it like I see it. Once upon a time this band had something special. I'm still waiting for a hint of energy or enthusiasm. It would go a long way toward making up for their loss of skills with vocals, timing, Christine, etc. It's just not happening for me. I bought the album because I'll buy any music with Stevie's or Lindsey's name on it. However, I don't think the average fan will be motivated to buy SYW or go to a concert based on what the Mac is delivering on TV as promo.

 Good one. Isn't it just precious that a Fox reporter gets caught red-handed with Iraqi art? It's just one more example of the kind of people who are running and providing content for that poor excuse of a network.
Bill O'Reilly is full of ****. If he and Fox were so unbiased, why is he trying so hard to get LA Times columnist Bob Scheer fired? Scheer has been one of the most vociferous critics of this administration and its warmongering ways. That's why.

The last thing we all need to worry about is Stevie's split ends which I'd have to say I actually didn't notice and I really don't give a **** if she did. I mean, they are my FAVORITE band and I grew up listening to 80s Mac and Stevie stuff and then through my parents heard the 70s Mac BUT, I dunno about all of you but I paid $125 for a ticket to their Philly show and way more than that for their AC show. I REALLY hope they don't suck this much on tour. I mean, regardless, i'm going to be happy because I heart them so much but I'd be a bit disappointed if they didn't sound all that great especially since this is the first time for me seeing them live.
My biggest beef is the dude who sings (or whatever the hell you want to call that) backup...it almost seems like he and Lindsey are competing to be heard at times. I want to hear Fleetwood Mac not horrid backup dude...and as much as I like Mindy and Sharon, I don't want to hear them either and that's pretty much all I could hear at certain points during the song. It's like, you're called BACKUP for a reason. Krikey.
But seriously, did anyone else notice that there's an entire other band behind them? WTF?!? My friend Meredith and I had a conversation about this last night when Leno was over. The old Fleetwood Mac NEVER had backup before The Dance tour. Why now is it necessary?
And Peacekeeper..don't even get me started there....IMO it is a HORRIBLE song perform live. It definately should not have been their first single. I really didn't have too many issues with the Today show performance because I thought it was unfair to judge them based on other factors surrounding them. However, last night there didn't seem to be any other factors that we could add in to the ass sucking other than the fact that well, Peacekeeper just.....uh...sucks ass. LOL
I know they're rehearsing more at the soundstage this weekend and hopefully, all of the glitches will be worked out. After all, these performances are practices for the real thing so I guess I shouldn't be so judgmental.
I think Stevie looks absolutely radiant….she looks more beautiful every year and sounds great and Lindsey…well he looks hot as hell and his guitar playing rocks and I’m loving him on the album. If I wasn’t 19 and if he wasn’t married, I’d be all about getting’ me some of that…oh, who the hell am I kidding? I’d be all about getting’ me some of that regardless. Lindsey needs to make like a Mac machine…we’ll tap that….LOL :p

It's hilarious! Did you hear about what the Fox News ticker tape scrolled a few weeks ago for the anti-war activists to read? How sickening. Fox News is a joke and it gives the news a bad name. Fair and balanced my ass. They employ Geraldo Rivera, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly! What else can be said??? Bastards.

I think that is so interesting that you all find Bill O'Reilly so conservative. While I do not see him voting for ole Hillary anytime soon, I think he is rather moderate in his views (against the death penalty, for gay adoption, against Big Brother type government, spoke out against Senators Lott and Sanatorum (Sp.?), etc.). I do hate his smugness, however; I hate that in anyone. Note: I am in no way saying I agree with everythink Bill O'Reilly says. I rarely agree with anyone on everything
Yes, FM is really two bands - the four and the five behind them. All of that and they cannot give an A+ performance. It saddens me, because I really do love FM and want them to be the superlative in their genre.
By the way, did anyone else notice Micks real gold drums and how he immediately leapt over them to be sure and get his mug in the spotlight.

Using a backup band is not a good image to present either! WTF? If it's necessary to use so many backups to play a particular song on TV, then don't do that song! We all know LB overdubs numerous guitar parts using different guitars on certain songs, but if that's the stuff they promote on TV, they might as well use playback and lip sync for cryin out loud. There are other songs they could do to show off their best asset: SONGWRITING!

I just hope that the band, their managers, and all the other powers-that-be will:
a. Raise hell about the crappy mixing. The reason we were hearing Ray's or Carlos' guitar over LB's, and Mindy and Sharon drowning out Stevie, was the MIX, not because anyone was singing or playing louder than the stars of the band.
b. For the love I have for your wardrobe, Stevie, PLEASE come up w/ something new/interesting to wear, and remind your makeup girl that you need "camera ready" makeup, not just enough makeup to go to lunch and be seen in public. Don't be afraid of the red lipstick!
c. I hate to admit this, but if the DC show is as lackluster as these recent TV appearances, I may have to reconsider the number of shows I'm considering attending. I know, those of us who are fortunate enough to see them ONCE shouldn't complain, but I've been saving my pennies and hording my vacation time specifically for this tour.
Come on FM, "don't you let me down...agaaaaaain!"

In addition to what I mentioned earlier - wanting Stevie and Lindsey to have an affair to spice up performances, I also wish they would wise up and realize that they can get feedback from their most loyal of fans instantaneously right here on the internet. The rest of the people from whom they receive feedback are either family members or friends, who probably would withhold their true feelings, and executives who only care about their money. Why can't they realize what a resource they have at their fingertips. I really believe that we give constructive criticisms (most of the time...hehe)and that they could use us to their advantage! I mean, honestly, Stevie would probably crap her ugly dress if she read some of the horrifying comments on this board, but they're mostly things that she and Lindsey could work on. They really need to wake up.
Also, I'm kind of glad that I'm only going to two shows. I guess the best thing we can hope for is a touch-up DVD like the dance if we want to see a great performance, and that's just not the way it should be. :(

Yeah, what she said:)
As for the back up band. If you realize that they used to have Christine playing keyboard, and Lenny on percussion, there is only one addition person visible onstage, Carlos. I think for their TV Dance performances they hid Brett and Neale but Lenny was always clearly visible.
Hopefully someone connected to the band will read this message board instead of the whitewashed excuse for a message board on Mick's site. Heaven forbid anyone there were to say they sounded terrible, the pack of wolves would be allover the thread setting everyone straight before you could blink. I think I heard that someone from FM read the Ledge after the first few Dance concerts for feedback. Let's hope someone is reading "some" of the comments here about the performances and would be honest with them about the way they sound.

I want to hear Lindsey playing guitar, not anybody else. Strip it down so we can hear him!
We want to see Stevie looking like the Diva that she is and full of 'tude!
And heaven's to Betsy, please play a song with some energy!
Destiny Rules, What's the World Coming To, Thrown Down, would all translate lovely to a live performance.

Can someone describe how many and what kind of backup musicians they are using? I saw they have the dude on the keyboard, and that's probably a necessary thing unless Stevie is gonna take some lessons and put herself behind one. But do they really have an additional guitarist?? How rediculous!
You'll never get rid of the backup band at this point...
I know for one thing, Ray Lindsey has played acoustic guitar during GYOW as far back as the Rumours tour. Aside from the Mirage Tour, Stevie hasn't been without the girls in the back since before her '81 solo tour.
Personally, I think that Mick and John could up the pace a little bit and make the songs sound better in live-form. And during Peacekeeper, it almost seems that during the solo at the end, they need to stop all that "peacekeeper take your time....WAIT for the dark of night" crap. Just do the damn solo Lindsey and rock the place!

But in my opinion, she did put 100% into it last night... while keeping within her part of the song.
Her harmony in "Peacekeeper" really doesn't allow for any branching out, or any of that intensity that people are expecting/wanting. Which is what I was referring to when I said that her part doesn't require "passion."
So I don't see her performance as listless or boring... I see it as being suitably subdued, because that's what's required of her in that particular song.
Stevie not performing "passionately," doesn't inherently mean that she's disinterested, or not giving her all... she was just stepping back and giving Lindsey room to shine on his song.

There was no excuse whatsoever for those RAL era costumes she wore, they were atrocious. They were so ugly they made peoples eyes hurt! So, comments made about those were justified. Nowadays though, she has completely gotten rid of her image and style.I'm guessing you mean her 'Other Side Of The Mirror' wardrobe, as her attire on the 'Rock A Little' tour really wasn't that much different than what she had been wearing on previous tours.
Again though, this is one of those "damned if you, damned if you don't" kinda things. Some fans and rock journalists (including Rolling Stone) had been criticizing Stevie around 1986, for still wearing all the chiffon and shawls from yesteryear, so on the 'Tango' and 'Mirror' tours she shook things up a bit, wearing those bolero jackets and silk robes in various colors.
But then, she was ridiculed for that too!
Personally, I wish she'd wear that off-the-shoulder number from the "Seven Wonders" video again. That always got my blood-boiling, and I play for the other team!

& I'm mad b/c my tape cut off at the end of the song. Why can't this show ever go off when it's supposed to which I believe is one hour? Well, anyway, I didn't see anything wrong with their performance except that Lindsey & Stevie looked tired (maybe they're still on the West coast time). Or maybe it's b/c they can't stay up past midnight anymore, like me. But they looked good. (Yeah, Stevie could use a trim.) Maybe it's just me, but I think Stevie & Lindsey should stand a little closer together on stage. ;) They just look so far apart; maybe b/c Christine isn't there, I don't know.
