Listening to Miranda, I can't help but think its a reference of sorts to John Stewart. If you listen to the opening vocals, LB sings in a lower register than usual, sounding just like John.
For those with keen memories, you might remember LB and Stevie Nicks backed up Stewart on his hit album "Bombs Away Dream Babies", back in '79. One of the songs on that album is "Midnight Wind", which has a reference to a girl named Miranda.
John Stewart and LB have had cross references in the past. "Comin' Out of Nowhere" was John's ode to LB. LB returned the favor with "Johnny Stew", Stewart then recorded a great, but unknown song called "Liddy Buck."
Always interesting to know.
