Yea, duh me. It would help if I could spell EVER(Y)BODY correctly. Sheesh.

it's my fave song, how amazing is it!!!!?

I am not sure what it is about specifically but I know it's about an affair that the girl is afraid everyone will find out about. I'm sure it's from Stevie sleeping with someone elses man or something in her lifetime..or the other way around, who knows.

Wouldn't it be about Stevie and Mick? I dunno.

It's my fave Stevie song on the album...it ROCKS OUT and I hope they do it on tour!!! I love the "I do have him" attitude emphasis on the word I and when she and Lindsey sing "Everybody finds out!" together!! LOVE that ending too!!!

I thought it was about Mick and Stevie....was it written recently though? And it was written in collaboration with Rick Nowels so that kind of throws me off. I'm not sure now.

Ugh,that would mean she is writing about stuff from the dark ages again, lol.Plus, she wouldn't have had to get on a plane to see him..they just had to creep around at night :)
I sincerely hope for her sake that it is something current..lol..

Yeah, those booming violins @ the end are sweet. Sounds like something Lindsey maybe got from Dr. Dre from listening to "The Eminem Show," lol. The whole rhythm has club written all over it.

I adore this song! I'm having my 102nd listen right now,

I am crazy about the rolling drums, the synth strings, the voice manipulations, the tempo changes, and mostly the lyrics!

I think her cockiness about this man's feelings for her just make this song for me. I like the conviction and emphasis on the "I" of "I do have him".

As far as who it is about and what other woman she is addressing, c,mon guys, you already know! ;)!!!

What can I say??

"Affairs of the heart that start out in the dark...usually stay with the night..." Why Sulamith! I have no idea who you mean! I suppose it could be about them. It does make for a more exciting song when you think about it that way and now that I listen to it again, it think it may indeed be.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! It is absolutely one of my favorite Stevie songs ever! I really love her in-your-face attitude when she is singing it. I hope this is one song that makes it to the setlist. It totally rocks!!!

I just really got to listening to this song today, and I am in love. It is my current fav. It reminds me of a friend of mine, and I'm gonna e-mail it to her.... this completely rocks.

I have my own ideas on what it may be about!!!;)

Rock on, Stevie!

Totally Mick and Stevie, probably her one married man.

I love the ending too!

I am just like so psyched I can share all these feelings with all of you. I listened to the album about 15 times today and I can't get enough of it.

The lyrics of this song really hit me and I waited all day to write about it ( the server was busy all day!!!!)

According to the US Copyright website, Everybody Finds Out (aka In The Darkness) was written in 1999.

Also, if I remember Mick's book, he was not her only married an. She was with a married record executive.

And who knows, it could be about a guy who was just dating her and another woman.

Definitely NOT about Mick. She has sadi in two recent articles that she and Mick only got together because they were drunk and it horrified them.

C'mon, you guys! haha!!

Despite the fact that two years ago at the opening of TISL she did call Mick one of her great loves, (Stevie says stuff like that when she wants to get a reaction from someone ;)!) I don't think that alcohol-induced "affair" would spark lyrics like this.

This song kicks ****ing ASS!!!!!!!!!

The whole thing builds to the end.....

"We see no change in sight....
Watching her decline
She gets on a MIDNIGHT plane.....
She's done it a thousand times....
When love starts out in the darkness
It doesn't do well in the light.....
Affairs of the heart
That start out in the dark
Usually stay in the night....
Where nobody sees them
At least not together
She rarely goes out
She spends every day...
Waiting for the day....
When everybody finds out!!!!!!!"

This is fast becoming my favorite song on the album and they better ****ing perform it live...... That's all I gots to say......

I WILL GO INSANE (pardon the pun) if they don't play this song at the concert. Seriously. I LOOOOOVEEE it.

Although I hope they do it live, I have to say that I doubt they will. We know for sure they are doing Peacekeeper, Say You Will, and Destiny Rules (at least, those are the ones they were rehearsing). Usually albums don't get more than 4 new songs on a tour setlist and I would assume the fourth would be a Lindsey song, since they are being so egalitarian nowadays lol. Maybe "Come"? Please yes!

I think they'll play it! EFO is the Fall From Grace of SYW. Stevie doesn't wanna come accross all soft in her old age.

sulamith

I think they were rehearsing What's the World Coming To as well.
That would be the other LB song. I am still hoping for EFO, though!

Please six new songs, ok guys?
