Running Through the Garden Question

[dissention]

I am trying my damned hardest to NOT listen to the album until I get the limited edition on Monday, so...I'm really wondering about the lyrics to Running Through the Garden. Does anyone have them or could transcribe them? I really want to know if there have been any changes; I think that it could benefit a lot from some new lyrics added. :)

Here you go...

Until she herself
Became the deadliest poison
As she grew older
Oooh, until she herself
Became just as fatal
As was her garden

And so you run towards
What you know is wrong
There are too many flowers
To cut down

For the love I have for your light
For the love I have for your light
Turn around

Never did I mean to
Imprison you
Here in my garden
Like I am imprisoned
All the love I have for your light
All the love I have for your light
Turn around

Until she herself
Understood her garden
Leaving her heart broken, no future at all
Until she herself
Became the toxic garden
Always frightened, no future at all

And so you run towards
What you know is wrong
There are too many flowers
To cut down

For the love I have for your light
For the love I have for your light
Turn around

Never did I mean to
Imprison you
Here in my garden
Like I am imprisoned
All the love I have for your light
All the love I have for your light
Turn around

So you run towards
What you know is wrong
But there are too many flowers
To cut down

All the love I have for your light
All the love I have for your light
Turn around

Running through the garden
I'm running in brilliant colors
I'm running straight towards, straight towards
What you know is really wrong
Too many flowers
Can't (?) cut down
For the love I have for your light
Turn around

....Well I think that is it. If I made any errors.. someone let me know.

I'm missing the "don't trust me!" line. I think they should have kept that instead of "turn around." And I'm missing the "well"s and dual voice track...but hey the song turned out pretty good.

I"m pretty sure it's "All the love that I have for your LIFE"? (instead of light)

Are you sure? I don't hear an "f" sound at the end at all...hmmm maybe it's just me. I've seen transcribed lyrics having either "life' or "light". I really don't know.

No I'm not 100% sure, I just thought it made more sense. I dunno

LOL I'm not sure either. Could be either or I guess. Although Life does make a bit more sense...

I'm sure it's life..

Is that Lindsey doing the "echo" thing in the chorus, repeating Stevie's lines, or is it the girls? Sometimes I think it is him singing high (or the good ol' VSO that he loves so much), and other times it really sounds like a woman.

Any thought?

Brad

Mucho thanks, SeventhWonder! :)

Definitely Lindsey, Brad. I'd love to have him do that part if/when they do this on tour.
