Some new SYW articles...

[djames]

Hey there...

Thought I would post a few articles that I came across. Haven't seen them posted on here yet, so I thought I would share...

Here's a great article with alot of focus on LB, but great content:
"He went his own way..."
http://www.calendarlive.com/music/cl-et-cromelin9apr09,0,6366075.story?coll=cl-home-more-channels

Here's one that has some interesting info about the DVD-Audio version of SYW:
a quote: "Stunning, exclusive black and white photos of the group are utilised on interactive menus that introduce each track..."

Another quick tech oriented article, this one not worth reading unless you're really into DVD-A:

Here's an article that is about the concert industry, but it mentions that Fleetwood Mac shows are selling out quick:
"The concert business takes a hit"

Sorry if any of this had been posted already!

Thanks for the links, djames... they're greatly appreciated. :)

Yep... just a few more days... and I can't wait! :D

Yes thanks Djames :wavey: . I've sort of seen all of those - well not the last one but that doesn't really say anything much.

I think the most interesting thing from all of these articles for me (as an Aussie) is that there still might be some remote chance that the band makes it across the Pacific. Stevie says in the "He Went His Own Way' article that she's committed to the same big tour/new album plans that Lindsey has earlier expressed interets in.

Giddy up!

Cool links.

As for the one from MSNBC on the summer concert season, whoever is banking on this being a turnaround season for the business must be dreaming. Never mind the war in Iraq, and the soon-to-be-launched war on Syria, it's the economy that is going to interfere. It won't take much longer for people to realize that with 150,000 job losses a month, fewer people are going to be able to afford concerts.

This may have an effect on CD sales too. On the bright side, if that's the case, it will take fewer sales to get the No. 1 spot.
