ok....we're getting down to the nitty gritty here....supposedly FM is supposed to be in NY next week for the Today show and there is to be a performance on Friday, April 18...However, there is not really any confirmation...I was planning on going down there but where is the performance going to be? Is it going to be outside like previous performances? The weather has been lousy in this area lately...If the alternative is inside are fans going to be able to attend? I have written John Kinney at the Nicks Fix so i'm hoping he'll get back to me....I want to make sure before i go down there....does anyone have any info on this? Also, what time would it start etc....

Yes, I wanna go too, but it turns out they will be on each day that week starting Tuesday. I don't know when they will perform I'm guessing the first and last dates.

I heard that it will just be the Friday show (4/18) on which there will be a "performance". I think the other days are probably just pre recorded puff pieces to push SYW but who knows. VCR's at the ready "just in case". :)

For those of you going to the plaza, keep in mind the Brady Bunch episode where Marcia raced down to the TV studio to see Davey Jones only to find out it had been taped last week. Hopefully that won't be the case but just a thought. :)

Yea I talked to my Dad and he said the 18th was when they are gonna perform according to the nicksfix. But when he went on the Today Show website I found nothing.

What we wanna know is what street this will be done on? Anyone know?

We gotta help each other out!

According to www.rockontv.com, the band will be on Tuesday through Friday. Tuesday, Wed. and Thurs. will consist of interviews and Friday will be the performance. I imagine it's outside because it says it's part of The Today Show's Summer Concert Series.

If you go to www.rockontv.com and type "Fleetwood Mac" into the ARTIST search box it will bring up the dates they will be on. If you click on the "Info" link on the very right of the column, it will explain more what will be happening.

I can't wait!!:)

This means they're going to be in the city all week and for the album's release!!!! Would it kill them to do a record signing somewhere???? They could use a little positive PR, especially amongst their scorned fans. ;)

I suspect the interviews could very well be taped segments, so they may not be "live" until Friday. ;)

That should be interesting if the interview with Stevie is live in the studio. That Steven dude is so over the top that it is funny (IMO). I would love to see him and Stevie have a conversation about her sense of style!

What is the number of songs that they play for these types of things on Today? I am sure that one will be "Peacekeeper". I would love to see them play "Smile at You", but my guess is that they will probably play "Say You Will".

I think they will do "Peacekeeper," "Big Love," "Landslide" and then "Say You Will."

Fleetwood Mac is probably going to kick off the Today Show's Summer Concert Series on 4/18 and will be performing live.

The Today show usually announces their guest for the following week on Friday, so watch this Thursday & Friday morning for a preview of next weeks show details.

Matt Lauer has been "on assignment" the past 2 days. He might be taping interviews to be edited for next weeks shows. Katie alluded to something special when she mentioned he was away or on assignment yesterday.

The Today show 'rarely' tapes its Friday concerts and I doubt they'd tape the kickoff concert, but you never know. They have a white canopy for bad weather and many artists have performed in the rain, they don't move the taping inside the studio.

I think it'll be three, 2 new ones and one old one. Who knows though, not far away now. :)

The Today show previewed a little clip of the band performing Peackeeper on a soundstage and announced that they would be kicking off their summer concert series next week.

They didn't mention anything about any interviews coming up next week.

The clip they showed was different than the one from the AOL Sessions.
