I recently was lucky enough to come across a beautiful dress our Lady once owned and subsequently it was sold at Silver Springs Emporium. I was happy to find it was more beautiful than I expected and it was my favourite color (purple) so I splurged and got it. Im not bragging... but I was curious... do any of you have any of Stevie's treasures from SSE? If so, what are your favourite treasures and why? Any special ties to them?
My favourite items I have: 1 rhinestone ring, obviously costume jewlery but Stevie wore this a lot cause the gold plating was worn through. 1 stunning white lacy shawl I find gorgeous and one beautiful antique cameo necklace which reminds me of Stevie (the cameo), the lady on it reminds me of Stevie, beautiful and dainty.

I don't mean to rain on your thread, but my experience w/ SSE was not great. I ordered an autographed copy of Rooms On Fire, which was the only thing I could afford at the time ($85). I thought that seemed high, but at least I knew it was authentic. It took forever to arrive (I would call about once a month and the lady who was working never knew what I was talking about, always had to take my information to call me back and then never did). So 4 months later it arrives, one of the corners of the 45 all bent and worn (it totally looked like a used copy from a thrift store or something) and Stevie's signature (although it looks authentic) is barely visible-it looks like she used a pen that was about dead and then scratched over it a couple times trying to make it more visible. Plus it's just her name, no "much love" or any of her little squiggles.
So once again (after all the fan clubs & everything else) I felt ripped off and disappointed. But I'm persistant: over the years I keep on trying. Just a couple months ago I was excited to hear about this online fanclub......

Lets see, things I've gotten from SSE? Well, I've both driven there & ordered from the catalogue & have always been happy.
I have~A cameo pin,~2 shawls(one gold/one black that I use to snuggle with on cool nights)~a signed tambourine ( says much love S.N. & a heart with wings)~a signed 25yrs box set (sig. same as tam.)~some sort of natural stone pendant.
Pretty neat huh? I would never sell this stuff. Ever! I love it so much.

I never had the priviledge to buy anything from the SSE. But I know my friends Mary and Roland bought autographed items from there and Roland bought a Wild Heart Ring that is to die for.
A wild heart ring! I don't think there are many of those around. How cool!

I have an autographed Time Space promo poster that reads Love, Stevie Nicks. That was the only thing I ever ordered. I had no problem with them either..

I bought a framed pic of five cartoon penguins, wearing high-top tennis shoes. It's signed "Much love, Stevie Nicks." I also bought a friend of mine a little tiny framed pic of Stevie. The frame is a beautiful, Victorian-looking gold frame.

Thanks for sharing your stories with me. Sorry you had a bad experience Roland! Ive amassed a lot of treasures and I agree some of what I have Id never sell. Above all though, the one thing I would never ever part with - and its nothing she ever owned, is the handbill I had her sign when I met her in the fall of 2000. She signed it "Stephanie Nicks" (cause thats my name too) and then signed it "Steph" and "Love" underneath that her hearts & swirls. Meeting her and that alone, is just wonderful.

I have a pink & white (clear) rhinestone cuff bracelet that looks to be Street Angel era from SSE.

Hi Everyone!
I thought the Silver Springs Emporium went under a while back? Is it still in business? If so, is there an address or website? Thanks. Polly:wavey:

They did close up awhile back. Stevie's mom talked about moving the store to another location but I haven't heard of a new store. I heard Barbara Nicks is very busy with teaching? so she doesn't have the time.

I wonder how someone "recently" got merchandise from there then.

"Recently" meaning I bought it from a collector / friend of mine who was parted with it.
However, you could find items on eBay as well or perhaps through other message boards / web sites. There are a few private run WWW sites out there w/items they sell (not necessarily SSE items, but items in general).
