Are there any Stevie or Mac fans who have met Herb Worthington? I admire his photography of Stevie, the Mac and in general... and was wondering if any fans have met him, can you share your experiences with me? Was he a nice guy, etc?
Take care!
:D Stephanie (yes I was named after our Lady!)
I never met Mr. Worthington but I too was always a big fan of his photography of Ms. Nicks. Some of the best I thought. Whatever happened to their relationship. I never see anymore pics of Stevie taken by him. Maybe someone can elaborate?!

I've also noticed that Stevie no longer seems to work with Herb Worthington. They certainly created some very memorable work together back in the day. I have heard he now operates an antiques store in LA called "House of Worthington".

I have met the man a few times, completely by accident. Sorry to say, he was profoundly creepy. One time he was berating a friend (or employee) in public. He had a typical Hollywood attitude, and although I am used to that, it didn't sit well with me.
That being said, when I bought pictures from him a million years ago by mail, it was a great experience. He replaced some things that were damaged in the mail and sent me a note with some free stuff. So, mixed review. Maybe I caught him on a few bad days.

Thanks for your replies! I live in the S.Cal area and know of his shop... was thinking about going to see if he'd be there!
I heard Herb stopped doing photography... I dont think it was anything personal between him and Stevie or the Mac (at least hope not!).
Any others out there? Id love to hear your stories! I too have many of the HWW Prints from the 80's fan club.
You know it's always neat when someone brings these topics up because they sometimes send me on a search through my house for "forgotten" tapes, videos, and pics. This topic inspired me to dig out a 1985 limited edition Stevie Nicks calendar whose photography and design was done by Herbert Worthington. All of the shots are classic Stevie.
The following is a passage(in part) written on the back of the calendar by Lance D. Blumen ~ August 29, 1984:
"It is very rare that two people can develop a strong, long-lasting creative chemistry that can endure for any length of time. But in the case of Herbert Worthington and Stevie Nicks, this twosome has done just that.
Their friendship began back in 1974 when Stevie joined Fleetwood Mac. That was the second Fleetwood Mac album Herbie had shot...the first one being Heroes Are Hard To Find. But that fateful second album for Herbie...the "White Album" as it's commonly referred to, initiated a friendship that has weaved it's way from "Rhiannon" through "Dreams"; has taken us to "The Edge of Seventeen" and gotten us to "Stand Back".
That Worthington-Nicks chemistry has matured and all of us...the spectators...the people on the sidelines...the thousands of fans across the world, have come out the winners. The magic that Stevie Nicks can create through her music is equalled only by the wizardry accomplished by Herbie and the tools of his trade."
Just thought I'd share :)

Thank you SO much for transcribing and posting that. I really appreciate it. I have the "Garbo"-esque Stevie postcard that Herb sent out (I guess to fan club members) advertising that very calendar. I have quite a few HWW photos of Stevie, prints and one very precious original proof sheet of an awesome photo of Stevie & Robin (one photo cut from original proof sheet). Thanks for posting... and I hear you on some of the more "far away but not forgotten" subjects... its cool to dig for whatever and then relate anew!
Thanks again!
You're welcome Stephanie, it was my pleasure.
Now get to Herb's shop and let us all know what's going on there and with the man himself. :)
Inquiring minds want to know!! ;)

Hi Guys--
I did a little internet searching last night and found the website for House of Worthington. It's www.houseofworthington.com. Oddly enough, if you do a search on google, it comes up as .net, but that link won't work. Weird, anyway, it looks like he's got some very cool things in that store! Maybe on my next trip out to LA, I'll get to stop by.
The opening page to his site plays Sisters of the Moon. How cute!

I see HW111 gets a credit for photography on Say you will.
Yes, I see that too. So I guess they are still together. Cool.
