received the flag from one of the troops who served in the 1991 Persian Gulf War (Sgt. Robert M. Garcia). Stevie was sent alot of letters from the troops and her assistant Ginny sent cds, tapes & autographed pictures back to the troops...It's explained in the liner notes of the "TimeSpace" cd.

She should, (And will), receive another flag from the troops, Whereas her buddie Sheryl Crow will receive a "middle finger" from the same troops...LMAO!!!!

I pulled out my copy of Timespace over the weekend 'cause I wanted to hear Desert Angel...my brother was in the Air Force during the Gulf War. He wasn't called over there, but it was a very difficult time, nonetheless.

That's also the song that made my Grandma understand why I love Stevie so much. I sat her down and played Desert Angel, and gave her the lyrics to follow along...after the song was over, she nodded and said, "Okay, I get it now." :D
