Well, I got banned from the Mick Fleecewood Message Board. All I did was express my upsetment about the deletion of threads and posts that criticize the fan club. And I was very respectful in doing so. I'm so upset. If anyone cares, please start a thread over there to ask why I was banned. Changes need to be made there and if bannings are done without recognition let alone explanation, changes will never occur because the right people will never see the problem.

Thanks for reading this,

John

Well I was banned too. And they must have banned my ISP as I can't even get to the board from my computer but I can from my friends. An explanation would be nice

Who cares about that STUPID board anyway. It is so weird over there! After everything that has happened aren't you glad you were banned?

I cant believe you guys were banned. What a joke!

And you're probably right Nae - it's not that big a loss.

So what's their masterplan - to surround themseves with just the brainwashed cronies with their dreams about Mick Fleetwood and the Knight in shining armour with his tidbits of delayed information and monthly fan scams.

Did they send you an email to explain why you were banned? I was banned a few times before but it was an error. I know that it happened to a few people in error. Can you get in to PM the admin? If not maybe I can PM them for you to make sure it is just an error.
If it is not an error I don't know why they would ban all of you just to voice your opinion. Doesn't sound like a BB that you would want to belong to anyway. Hardly a fan friendly place.

The number of posts that are being deleted and the frequent banning that is going on over there is really amazing. Keeping in mind that The Penguin and The Ledge are in no way responsible for or affiliated with the FM Fan Club (as you all know), I suggest that it might be helpful if we organized a FAQ here (where it won't be deleted) listing the main points about what was promised from the fan club, what was actually delivered, and what could be done about it. This is a very emotional issue for many as the seats that were advertised were not delivered and due to the costs and distance involved, most fans cannot go to multiple shows. I saw many posts (before they were deleted) in which people stated that they were going to dispute the charges of the fanclub with their credit card companies-- the preparation of an organized FAQ might help these individuals by clarifying the issues.

That is aweful. I am really sorry to the fans who have been banned from there over the first amendment rights. What Mick has let happen to that board/website is tasteless, and I for one have a new found lack of respect for him. Completely tasteless...:distress: Thank you, Marty, for letting us be opinionated here. It makes for healthy fan discussions...

I'm a member but I've never visited the BB. I joined for the tickets & am disappointed, of course. Has the Fan Club posted a policy statement that it reserves the right to ban what TPTB view as flamers? (Not that it sounds like you really flamed, anyway.) If not, couldn't banned posters make the case that since they paid money for a year's worth of the beneits of membership, and they were not made aware of banning as a consequence at the time of signing up, they should not be banned? Just a thought (perhap a naive one). - Jake:(

This whole banning thing is CRAP!!

I just registered over there on Thursday when the presale debacle started - and it is really nuts. I mean NUTS. I have noticed so many posts deleted. Even my posts regarding my invalid password have been deleted. They are even deleting their own fan club emails that are posted on there by members - what is up with that?!?

They just keep digging themselves a bigger hole - somebody step up to the damn plate already and offer something to those who were screwed!!

Thank God our society doesn't function like this for the most part - its sad that some do . . . :distress: :distress: :distress: :distress:

Hi everyone, first post :)

I too was banned from Mick's board (my username over there was poopsiy) after I expressed quite a lot of disgust and pointed out what I saw to be merciless ass-kissing. It is truly apalling over there! If they don't like one of your posts, they take away your star count (or what Sara, http://www.sararhiannon.com , refers to as being "de-starred"...hehe!), or they will ban you. There are a couple of real schmucks over there...they haven't found the right doctors yet who'll permanently sew their lips to the Knight's ass cheeks. The news over there is second hand, we get it from various sources like this place MONTHS before it's posted on Mick's board. I feel so bad for those who paid the money for the fan club! It can't be much of a comfort for them to know that the Knight runs the fan club! My advice would be to contest the charge on your credit card, that way, Knight and Mick won't see a dime. ;)

They have also prevented Sara from posting her website address, even though the Knight himself linked to her mp3 of Say You Will WITHOUT asking her permission, causing her bandwith to go through the roof. Yet he lets everyone else post links to THEIR sites. That is messed up folks!

I have lost all respect for Mick. He puts dollar signs on everything and it's really beginning to turn off FM fans. Anyone else notice that the MF fan club turned into the FM fan club? He must've wised up to the fact that he's only a mediocre drummer in a band that is otherwise full of musical geniuses. It's a common fact that he hatched up the meet and greet idea and all these others schemes to extort the die-hard fans who pay for everything he does including his bad real-estate ventures. He should be ashamed of himself.

Another thing that bothers me about that place is how Knight likes to speak for FM even though he only runs Mick's site (half-assed, too!). You'll never see Lindsey or Stevie try to insult their fans by posting these extortion attempts on their sites! But at the same time, they need to know what is going on or it's going to cost them some fans. :(

Anyways, good luck to everyone in getting their fan club money back and I'm sorry for everyone who got banned. take pride in knowing that you got banned because you weren't kissing the Knight's medieval ass.

Hi, dissention - welcome to the Ledge!

I agree totally - it bugs me that the Knight likes to speak for FM even though he is really only involved with Mick's site. Stevie and Lindsey have too much integrity to be involved in something like this - they would be disgusted. I don't blame them or FM, for that matter, I blame INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT. FM is way too busy getting ready for the tour and doing PR right now, and I understand that. But some people will be so angry that they will shift the blame to FM and it will cost them some fans.

I just hope that this is not a foreshadowing of the tour that is to come . . .

Thanks! Imagine what the tour will be like...eek!! A tag-team of the Knight and Chris Nicks running merch stands (ohmygawd) and the Knight's gestapo posters from that board running around slapping people for not paying $80 to join the fan club. Eeeeek!

I think they did ban my IP address, because no amount of cookie deleting is allowing me to do anything on that board. I did fire off an e-mail to the site demanding a refund of my fan club fees and citing my being banned as the latest reason for my demand.

I have not been banned as of yet...but if I keep complaining about the Fanclub and how I did not get what I was promised I would get I'm sure that my IP will be banned from there soon.

The reason for all this banning and deleting of posts is naturally to keep potential new fanclub members from seeing the facts and NOT joining. There also seems to have been some form of "cleansing" going on last night as alot of posters who had been gone for a few days came back to tell other people that the time for venting had passed and that they had been heard. Time to move on. All kinds of old posts about "what should Stevie sing" "what should the setlist be" and "thanks to the fanclub for all you did for me" started to surface to the top after having been buried under a weeks (or more) worth of posts.

Although the emails and posts I got from the club DID NOT say "you will get front row seats", they did say that the club had secured the best seats in the best 20% of the house which ran from rows one all the way back to rows 25-30 in most venues. Now the emails are telling me that they are working on something to make it up to me....wonder what that will be?

PIP, John and SaraRhiannon BANNED?!?!! OMG, that has got to be the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard!!! I have only posted on that board like 3 times or something, in which I joined it just so I could ask Knight questions if I had any. Looks like if I have any questions to ask, it would be HERE because you peeps give me news I've never even gotten from the frickin fan club!! It's nuts how the consensus from us is THAT BOARD IS WIERD! LOL They carry on conversations and you have to wade through 16 pages to get something semi-important. I spend WAY too much time on the net as it is, I don't wanna wade through chit chat to get information.

I'm never gonna NOT be a fan even through all this muck, and I hope they can get their crap together regarding the fan club because I think it's a neat idea. I only wish we were given MORE for our 60 bucks. I would LOVE to have a POSTER, tee-shirt and they could maybe make a short video or something welcoming you to the club for you to keep always. That would be nice. Stickers saying Fleetwood Mac, keychains, a special CD with songs only for FM fans....SOMETHING!!

*POOF*

Wow, I just had this dream that FM fans got stuff for being in the fan club....wierd.

This is a good idea, and I didn't join the club so I don't know what e mails etc. were around but I worry that those that did join the club may not have saved those e mails with what they said they "would deliver" (since they had naturally believed what "they had said" they would "provide") so those of you that were members should maybe dig through your papers or inboxes and print out what you have and disseminate the most relevant info from those though those ledgies here that may be more lawyer minded and work in legal areas (if any exist here) may have to be the ones to determine "what was and wasn't promised" in order for anything to "happen" from this. JMHO though. :)

a reply that "the Knight" just posted after I was answering a question about eBay and tickets and how I sold my original ticket for the exact price I paid for it:

"The Venue presales for Venue season ticket holders have blocks that they buy. We've traced numerous eBay offers to Season Ticket holders. We see some from the Fan Club too.

Don't believe either can be stopped. We try. Positive ID at a venue before a show has technical issues that also won't work-we've looked into that.

Well, I am a lawyer *duck* and would be happy to help if I can, but I only practice law here in PA. Not that I have litigation in mind, because I don't think that is the answer, but if the fan club exists in CA, then the question might be based on CA law instead of other states. There is room for argument, however, that any state law could apply because of the marketing of the fan club in all states, in addition to other things. Federal law could also come into play potentially, depending on what allegations could be ascertained from all the marketing, etc.

one statement "the Knight" made that I posted earlier:

"We've traced numerous eBay offers to Season Ticket holders. We see some from the FAN CLUB too."

So I'm "almost" sure that statement confirms that some of the "fanclub" members may indeed have been "brokers/scalpers/etc"...

So that seems to indicate that their "presale fanclub member" system was flawed from the very beginning.

Because Tom Petty looks out for his fans like no one else. He takes pride in being fair, not letting things get to his head, and being an all around wonderful guy. I think his songs on his last album sums up everything. I hve SOOOOOOOOO much respect or te man. I'd lke to see him and Mick duke it out, he'd whoop Mick's ass.

I'm a lurker too and have been debating whether or not to join the fan club. Thanks for making up my mind for me and helping me to save some $$$. I noticed today that they are doing a poll on the Nicks Fix about the quality of seats that people received in the pre-sales. Only 13% of those polled say they got great seats through the presales. The pre-sale marketing come-on (and I do think it's a rip-off) seems to be the way that bands are going now--FM, the Eagles, the Dixie Chicks, etc. I blame it all on corporate greed. Did anyone else see the story on the high price of concert tickets on 20/20 Friday night? I loved all the finger pointing that was going on. Basically, classic rock bands like the Stones, Elton John & Billy Joel etc. are charging the highest ticket prices claiming that they are forced to do so because people are ripping them off by downloading music and that they have to resort to charging higher ticket prices at concerts to make up the difference. This seems to make a lot of sense until you realize that it's older music fans who are far more likely to actually pay for their cd's! So we're getting gouged everywhere you turn between the outrageous ticket prices and these fake fan clubs who offer us little in return except aggrevation!

The Texas Deceptive Trade and Practices Act is an example of a state law that would apply in this case. I work for lawyers. In regard to Marty's post about all of us collecting our information, I believe a class action suit might be in order here....of course I'm not mentioning this on Mick's site, I might get banned.

Hey guys,

[email protected] asked me to post the "fan club fraud" letters on my message board, so I did that, and created a new board/folder while I was at it:

http://pub52.ezboard.com/fthestevienicksundergroundfrm6

Those of you who are still able to access the Mick board, PLEASE do me a favor and post this link there! The more people who know about it, the better! In fact, PLEASE forward it to everyone you know & post it on your websites, on other message boards you frequent, on mailing lists, etc.

I honestly think that Mick has NO IDEA what's really going on. I think he would be appalled if he knew that Jonathan Todd has established a mini-Nazi Germany in his name, in Fleetwood Mac's name! The only way for anything to be rectified is to spread the word. We need to send "The Knight" a strong and clear message that he is WAY OUT OF LINE.

Sorry if I appear to be a bit overzealous, but I am PISSED. If YOU are as well, then PLEASE do something about it!

And thank you, Marty, for speaking out about this. We all know that the Penguin will always be the REAL Fleetwood Mac website, and that The Ledge will always be the REAL Fleetwood Mac message board. Mr Nazi Knight could stand to learn a few things from you.

And I don't believe for one second that Mick doesn't know what's going on...

I talked to Jonathan Todd (The Knight) this morning on the phone. He claims that the entire band does know about the situation and that they feel awful about it. I'm inclined to not believe that. There's a clean-up going on there and I don't think it is in the interest of the fans. I believe it is an effort to cover some behinds. The MickFraudwood thing is in motion (at least, I've been working on what I was told I should do) and wouldn't be surprised if the deletion and bannings are an effort to downplay the problems in case any media should take a look at the boards.

Has anyone been over there? Are my most recent posts (some rather long ones) in the "complainers" thread still there?

I mean, bannings and deletion here are only done when people are being downright mean. Over there it's like nothing to get deleted. It happen all the time. Once you're deemed unuasable as tool for the promotion of the board/fan club, you're deleted or, worse, gone!

I just wanna thank the Ledge for being here!!!

I don't believe for one minute that the band knows what's going on. Maybe Mick but that's it.

I don't know much about what would be important for the legal stuff some of you wish to persue on this but I wonder if it would be "worthwhile" to go there (if you still can) and retype all your stuff there and then after you post it, print out the thread so at least you could prove that it was there at some point (since it would most likely be re-deleted) so you wouldn't have to worry about anyone "not believing you" on your word that your posts were there before, just a thought. :)

The only reason I didn't join the "Fan Club" was that I couldn't afford it. Or to be precise, I couldn't afford to pay that much for what they were selling. I've been sitting back reading what's happened over the past week or so and I now thank God that I didn't join, because if I had, I would no doubt be amongst the 1000s of people who have been, to put it bluntly, robbed. That's what it basically comes down to doesn't it? I think 1000s, if not 10s of 1000s of people across the USA (and the world to some extent) have joined this "fan club", to get, and ONLY to get, the promised "best 20%" seats. It now appears that these 1000s of people have not received what was promised, and are now being banned from the site or ignored. In my opinion that's worse than street robbery, because then at least you have the chance to possibly fight back and beat the living **** out of the thief who's robbed you; whereas in this situation, they have the "luxury" of ignoring your calls, ignoring your emails/PMs, and even banning you from the official Fan Club site if you voice your thoughts on the matter via that channel. I think it's disgusting that a group of people have taken such ridiculous, evil, advantage of the biggest fans of Fleetwood Mac, who are willing to do and pay anything they can (in so many cases take out loans and withdrawals from savings accounts) in order to be that much closer to the band, because of our love for the band and their wonderful music.

I think that "Knight" and all his fellow employees who are "in" on this scam (and there really is NO other word to use other than SCAM) should be stopped immediately and that site should either be temporarily closed down and set-up by a totally different administration, or else ALL fan club members should get a complete refund for breach of contract. Even if their adverts and emails have been cleverly worded with the help of a legal team to avoid officially breaching any contract, the 3 departments below deal with both legal breaches and also SCAMS, where the law has been fulfilled, but the person(s) has simply taken unfair advantage of the public. Just in case anyone is wondering, emails are now accepted with the same vailidity as written letters in court, as long as there is a hard copy of the email on the hard-drive.

This is not a question of a couple of hundred dollars; lets say 10,000 people have joined the fan club. That's $600,000 this company has taken. This is no small issue. It might be appropriate to contact any (or all) of those listed below via their online complaint forms:

The Department Of Consumer Affairs For California
http://www.dca.ca.gov/complainthelp/on-line-complaint.html

The Office Of The Attorney General For California

So, what's left there? A board with The Knight posting news about how good the seats for the people from the fan club are and a couple of other members (probably himself with other identity) cheering at him? And Mick reading it and thinking how good the idea of having that whole fan club stuff was? Please.

What they did is called scam (yes, I agree, Seteca, that's the right word) and I hope this is solved in the correspondant legal instances for the states or countries involved.

I just called the number listed in one of the MickFraudwood e-mails and got through to his voicemail. I don't think it's a good idea to post the number here even though it's the number for his marketing company, SabreMark, of which he is CEO. He picked up while I was leaving a message. No one was more surprised than me. We talked for like 1/2 hour. We did not come to any understanding. He would not let me hang up until I let him have the last word, and I wasn't going to be "that guy" who hung up on him. It was a very civil conversation--much like my posts were very civil.

Were you offered a refund?

mbr33
03-16-2003, 09:33 PM
I don't think that refunds will be offered to anyone. I think that the only way funds will be refunded is if charges are disputed on your credit card and the club then cannot proove they gave you something of value for your $60 or $80.

Did anyone get banned from the board who DID join the fanclub? I was reading some posts earlier and think that most of the "first round" of bannings were people who HAD NOT joined the club. I could be wrong, but am still somewhat curious.

So I'm "almost" sure that statement confirms that some of the "fanclub" members may indeed have been "brokers/scalpers/etc"...

So that seems to indicate that their "presale fanclub member" system was flawed from the very beginning.

Brian J. Hey, Brian. Guess what? Some of us tried to get the Knight's attention early on about how breechable the ticket system was for fan club members. He wouldn't listen. He set up a complaint thread and several people tried to tell him that constantly posting messages on the board saying to the world "your username is your password" was a major breech of the system from the get-go. Anyone who lurked on the board in the weeks before the pre-sale could find out anybody's password and use it because it was posted all over the place that your username is your password. Only people smart enough to have a different fan club username from their message board user name were safe. Like the venue pre-sales where the "dreams" password was out there for everyone to see, it was only one of many on the day of the fan club pre-sale. Everyone in the world had a chance to buy fan club tickets as long as they didn't exceed the total of 20. Most fan club memebers only wanted 2-4 so they'd never know if someone else bought seats using their password.

That's right glitter and I believe that is what may have happened to me on tickets.com, why I could never get tickets. Also, there was no way to change our user name for the fan club. I looked, I never found one.

Yes, you're not the only one that happened to. As far as I know the Knight has not responded to anybody's invalid password complaints except to say that he's sorry and the next pre-sale should be better. What's that supposed to mean? If you haven't bought any tickets then your password should work. You have a solid claim for a refund. How can they ignore the fact that the password system is extremely flawed and not give refunds to people with invalid passwords?

I could not agree more!! I had an invalid password and lost out on the first presale. The second presale doesn't matter to me because I live in PA and all the venues that I can get to were in the first presale. REFUND!!

Whoever has The Knight's phone number, why won' t you post it? Phone numbers are public information, therefore you will not be breaking any laws. Furthermore, it seems to me that a bunch of people flooding his phone line might be more effective than continuing to post complaints here, as much as the venting on these boards may help you cope with the situation. If he spends a half hour with each person, he won't have time to do anything else.

Post the phone numbers and any e-mail addresses you may have, and let people go at it. It would be a kind of civil disobedience: when you want to right a wrong before which you feel powerless, only disruption may produce results.

Just a thought.

Hi Pip,

I feel pretty much the same way about Knight. I just wanted to confront him in person. I didn't expect to get anywhere with him, and I didn't. To me, it's all about about the point--which is that he is using people to sell a product and if he can't use you he deletes you. I wanted to show him that there was a real person behind those typed lines on the computer screen. For me, there's a real moral issue about whitewashing--using his power to delete and ban to create an illusion. I believe that if you were to log on to that board today, having not been there before Thursady 3/13, you would have a different perception of what's been going on in relation to the fan club!

It's very simple and easy to do.

Go to www.whois.net and type in "fleetwoodmac.com" or any website you want to. It's all public information that anyone with a computer can access.

The phone number for Sabremark is 818.865.9993 and was also given to clubmembers on presale date as a place to go for help. We were to leave a name and number on the recorder and they would get back to us as they anticipated being SO BUSY.

The mailing address is listed there along with some info on who registered the site (you may be surprised with the answer to that one.)

Ok, here's the quote from where I got the phone number. Remember to WRITE a complaint also and "bcc" ir to [email protected] so that you can help them with their compilation of complaints. Also REMEMBER to be professional when talking to him! I know emotions are involved, but you will come off better and more effective if you remain calm, state your complaint and ask him for an explanation. I work at business as a phone representative and BELIEVE me, the calm rational person's complaint is the more effective.

Thanks,
John

From an e-mail I recieved...

PLEASE WRITE A LETTER OR EMAIL [email protected], and REQUEST A REFUND OF YOUR FAN CLUB DUES. SAVE A COPY OF EVERY PIECE OF CORRESPONDENCE AND ALSO EVERY REPLY YOU GET. YOU CAN ALSO CALL THEM AT 818-865-9993, BUT WE NEED THE WRITTEN REQUEST AS A FORM OF PROOF, SO THE CALL ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH, JUST A BIT MORE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK THEY'LL BE FORCED TO DEAL WITH.

People on that board pucker their lips constantly and ask what cheek. A few choice people went around acting as if they were moderators and told other people how to post and emailed certain admins (The Knight) about banning people off the board and who they wanted banned. Whoever says different is lying, flat out. People were banned because some people with big egos and puckered lips didn't like what they had to say. Because they had built such a comraderie wih Knight, people did get banned. What a load of bull **** the people over there give FM fans a bad name. But, they're dreams of moderating have now become reality; god save 'em!

I blame the Knight solely for that crap, especially since Jackie and Trinity were obviously not informed as to what people actually did to get banned and were forced to give blanket responses like "I'm sure Knight wouldn't have banned anyone if there wasn't a reason." and also "They must have said things in an inappropriate/mean-spirited way - it's not what you say it's how you say it" etc.

They know what this guy Knight is all about. What are they doing about it? Pip, banned! Get Real! She never did anything wrong except she is not doing what they are doing, agreeing to be one of the Knight's pawns. Why bother to play both sides of the fence? Fans can be loyal to the band but that's not what they are doing by supporting this guy. They can call themselves peacemakers, but when all is said and done, what will they say when the Knight is dethroned by Mick?

Agreed.... Jackie and Trin are good people and it was Trinity who asked webwiz to lift the ban on my IP. I am grateful for that as I really felt I hadn't stepped out of line. I will still continue to post any grievances I have... though my time will be betterspent over here :)

I think they are supporting the band and unfortunately at the moment that means supporting Knight. I prefer to read their posts on the board rather than Knights crap.

And as I said before Trin effectively got my ban lifted and I know Jackie was working on that too. I can't see myself posting as often on Mick's board now anyway. I can't see that anything has changed by all of what has happened. Knight still spews out his crap

Did they ever tell you why you were banned, specifically?

No. I was offered the chance to 'discuss' the matter over the phone with The Knight but I didn't respond to this and then webwiz removed the ban anyway. Webwiz had no idea I had been banned and originally said it was a board 'glitch' but Knight is very clear in his email to me that I was banned.
My thread asking why I was banned was deleted. I asked the question on the Stop The Negativity thread but I'm not holding my breath for a response.

No.... i didn't get an email to tell me I was banned. I discovered that myself! I had emailed 'The Knight' asking why I was banned and this was his reply to that

I'm glad you're back on Pip because the fact that you were banned wasn't right. As far as those who got you back on, well it definitely works both ways. I am highly suspicious of the motives of those who are going to do something for nothing.

"Did anyone get banned from the board who DID join the fanclub? I was reading some posts earlier and think that most of the "first round" of bannings were people who HAD NOT joined the club. I could be wrong, but am still somewhat curious."

Yes, I have been banned 100 thousand times. I was the 158th member to join that scam. And, I hope that I am one of many to have their credit card charges reversed for the club fees and the preordered cd. :wavey:

He started on me after I asked why I was banned, which in retrospect was proably an admin glitch, and he read some of my posts and then was just after me no matter what I said. I am one of the ten that he refers to in his email to Pip, where he is encouraging her to let him call her so he can reinstate her after he banned her. He says in that email that only ten ppl are upset and they are causing all the problems. Uh...I counted about 60 alone who posted to the thread "happy with the presale?" that was doctored and changed. He appears to be without any ethics and morally bankrupt imo and does not give two hoots about the fans, only about trying to show that he is doing a good job, so pull your credit card orders guys..that will get the higher ups attention and don't forget all the places that you can file complaints to bring his practices to the eyes of the authorities.

He forgot that this is America and that he stomped on our basic freedoms and rights and that we have a brain in our heads and can figure out when we are being duped.

So, who else made the top ten? I'd love to know. Of course, none of us were ever told why we were banned. I never got a single response from anyone telling me that I did something wrong. The first time I got banned it was for using the words Dick Van Dyke in response to a post by Watchdevil about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. In fact, you were posting with us on that thread and then, next thing you know, banned. I'm quite sure he's morally bankrupt and getting a cut of the proceeds. Someone asked me today why they should pull their cd order and now that I think about it I think those who ordered did so because they were promised they were going to get it early, which I think we all know now is just not gonna happen. Come to think of it, can anyone think of one promise the guy did make good on? Right now, I can't. As far as people supporting that site to support the band, give me a ****ing break. The band with the exception of one member wouldn't touch that thing with a ten foot pole. It's an embarrassment to them. I'm sure they've had to put up with all sorts of things over the years, so they probably just built up a tolerance to things like this. Anyway, nice to see you here.:wavey:

<<<<Come to think of it, can anyone think of one promise the guy did make good on? Right now, I can't.>>>

You hit the nail squarely on the head with this comment. All I got so far were veiled promises (direct quote) "We've
heard loud and clear from Members who didn't get what they wanted and we're working on what we can do or offer you to make you happy." I'm still waiting. I can't pre-order tickets to shows half-way across the country. I have a family and a full time job that I owe allegiances to....I can't jet off to concerts that are out of my area. My presale days are now over since there are no more shows or sales to begin here on the East coast.
As far as pre-ordering the cd from the site to support the club...I don't think so. I'll save $8 or $9 and buy it the day of its release from a local discount store.

10 huh? When I talked to him on Sunday there were only eight (including me).

As for the appearance of non-fan club members being banned: That is just more trickery on the MF Message Board's administration, for when they ban you, they take away your stars and re-designate you to "guest," thereby implying that you aren't a member of the "core group."

once again, total shock but sincere solidarity...

to ban Pip was bad enough (the lady traveled from England so Las Vegas just to see Stevie and then shared her adventure with us in word & pics on the Ledge so we were able to feel we were right there with her when she met Stevie!!)

but to ban SaraRhiannon, our beloved Demo Goddess, this should upset every Internet FM/Stevie fan. If it wasn't for SaraRhiannon and her generous spirit, most of our collections would be severly limited to say the very least. and she has done this for FREE and has been a major promotor of the concept of free trade among fans working against the ebay gangsters!!

I certainly will not be surprised if the Knight bans Tracy from Burnish.net next!!! He's like an Internet assassin...

I am soooo glad I never signed up as a member of the Mick board, always just a lurker. It was way toooo confusing to navigate and his website was way too slick for me...the Nicksfix started out as a fan site and then converted over to an official site yet it still retains most of it's spirit.

and am even more glad I did not give in to the Fanclub pressure, believe me, I was very close to caving. I will have to pay top dollar to a ticket broker because I do want good seats. But at least I'll be dealing with professional thieves

Dudes, I am laughing so hard right now. It appears that the boneheads did have a computer glitch. Now that they seem to have fixed it, they are even letting in people who were banned before the recent round of banishments. I won't tell you who though! ;)

Or maybe they lost so much membership that they are letting back in people who were really obnoxious while posting. Again, don't ask who...

That's a fine thank you to you for posting Peacekeeper. I don't suppose anyone's ever given you an apology for that little fiasco, not to metion that you should be compensated for the bandwidth consumption. If it's any consolation, you run a fine website, don't kiss ass and you are a true fan. A+++ in my book.:)

I almost joined the club but a fellow canadian said that they tried to buy the club through paypal but was told that they were not accepting foreign monies at this time. As for those of you who joined I feel sorry that you got screwed BIG TIME. It seems like the people running that site were in such a hurry to put out all this promotion and clubs and what not. Would it have killed them to wait and make sure that everything was all good before they launched any of thing s that they have. I feel like this whole so called "Year of The Mac" is slowly turning into "Year of the Crap". Everything about this album just spells cash grab. I mean the outrageous ticket prices ($125.00 for tickets to see a band that is missing a key factor in there success Hello Christine) I don't understand how they justify any of the crappy things that they (Mick) have done to promote this album. I was looking forward to this album but now I wonder if this is going to be a big fiasco ie. poor sales for the album and a tour that will prove that charging outrageous prices for tickets and treating fans like **** wil hurt them in the end.
