If the info is correct, she should be on soon...(or sometime in the next 4 hours since Ryan's show is from 3-7 PT). You can listen online, they just played the Dixie Chicks' Landslide....

Yeah...I'm listening to the station right now...I really hope the info is right. I think it will be pretty interesting with Ryan interviewing.

Hi Livia:wavey:

Thanks for the heads up, where did you hear about this? Is there any sort of indication as to when it's going to happen? I'm listening live online!:)

On the left side of the webpage near the top, it says in green letters "LISTEN LIVE"

Duuuhh! I just realized I mixed up my time zones - if she is on, it will be between 5-9 PM central time.

I did a search for "star 98.7 los angeles" to get their home page, then click on the "listen" box. You may have to download their software too, which only took a few seconds.

gosh they sure do love the dixie chicks' version of landslide.. they're playing it again right now....

lets just hope my dumbass computer doesn't freeze up too much during stevie's little dealie... what's she gonna do? talk? sing? big thing? little thing? hmmmm... i have to say that i much prefer the album version of landslide over sheryl's little radio mix thingy.

Yes I have been listing too. And they played the Dixie Chicks twice. So far the have not played Peacekeeper yet, unless I missed it.

I caught about ten seconds of it before my comp. with its usual, brilliant timing konked out. I could swear, however, I heard Mick's voice. AARRGGHHH!!!!!!:( :(

Mick was not there first off...Stevie was phoning in from rehearsals..she said she watched AI..and votes,lol..and that she is thrilled about Landslide, and that everytime it gets played she gets money,lol..she actually said "cha ching" i think...she didn't say too much about the album..other than wait til we hear it...and that she missed Christine and her british sense of humor..
and about renting 737 jets and stuff...it was a really cute interview :)

Wow what a personality. How could you not love her...she really knows how to pour it on. :) She could have had a career in sales for sure(and I mean that in a good way ;) ).

Some interesting points, I thought

She took a month and wrote four new songs specifically for SYW. Stevie said she didin't want to use just old songs for the new record. I don't have the tracklisting of SYW handy but did any of these new songs make it on the record? I know "Smile At You", "Illume", and "Thrown Down" would not be considered in this particualr group of four "new" songs. I'm thinking "SYW" would be ONE.

She loves songwriting more than ANYTHING. This gives her the greatest pleasure in life....much like a writer of books.

Sheryl Crow was the one who suggested "Landslide" to the Dixie Chicks...........I always thought that was Natalie Maines idea.

Stevie misses Christine everyday and in particualr her English sense of humor. Stevie made references to Chris not wanting to tour anymore(something she never wanted to do) although Chris was still open to recording with the Mac. In a somewhat ambiguous way Stevie said that that would just not work. If Chris had a hit how could they tour and not perform the song. So it sounds like the band/record company made the decision to tell her, well if you don't want to tour then we respect your right to "quit".

She watches American Idol religiously. She said that if she was twenty she'd be down there auditioning too. Her advice to the ones rejected.....never give up, don't stop trying until you believe it's just not going to work....there's always going to be someone who doesn't like what you're doing. Good advice if I do say so myself!

Stevie sounded great in the interview...full of life and verve.
