We have a lot of info coming in fast and furiously. So much, that I'm sure a lot of people are having trouble keeping up!
I'm going to try and collect the big stuff here, to make info easily accessible.
Please feel free to add to this thread, whenever new info comes along.
(I'd like to keep this thread streamlined for the sake of clarity, so to that end, please try to keep it free of off-topic posts.)

So far, this is what we know....

*The new album, titled 'Say You Will,' (http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/albums/sayyouwill.htm) will be released in the US on April 15th (and in other countries on April 14th), and contains the tracks listed below.
The author of each track is listed after the title, as is the timing for each. Please note that these timings are based on the dummy (blank) files that were found on the various Peer2Peer file-sharing services (like WinMX and KaZaA), and may not be 100% accurate. (For example, the running time listed for "Peacekeeper" is off by about 33 seconds, based on the version which can be heard via AOL Music - First Listen (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/wrap/linker.jsp?floc=MU-ARTIST-AOTM-FLMAC&ref=http://demand1.stream.aol.com/ramgen/aol/us/aolmusic/artists/wmg/fleetwoodmac/klj4398si_dk893979_web.rm).)

01. What's The World Coming To (Lindsey) 4:32
02. Murrow Turning Over In His Grave (Lindsey) 4:12
03. Illume (Stevie) 4:52
04. Thrown Down (Stevie) 4:20
05. Miranda (Lindsey) 3:48
06. Red Rover (Lindsey) 3:53
07. Say You Will (Stevie) 3:41
08. Peacekeeper (Lindsey) 3:37
09. Come (Lindsey) 4:19
10. Smile At You (Stevie) 4:41
11. Running Through The Garden (lyrics: Stevie) 3:19
12. Silver Girl (Stevie) 4:05
13. Steal Your Heart Away (Lindsey) 4:09
14. Bleed To Love Her (Lindsey) 4:24
15. Everybody Finds Out (lyrics: Stevie) 4:29
16. Destiny Rules (Stevie) 4:35
17. Say Goodbye (Lindsey) 4:09
18. Goodbye Baby (Stevie) 3:51

*At this moment (3/6/03), Amazon.com is offering the regular single disc version (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008PW3Q/thepenguin/) for $13.49 (29% off of the $18.98 list price), and a 2-disc limited edition version (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008PW3O/thepenguin/) for $24.99 (11% off of the $27.98 list price).
Amazon.com has also listed a DVD-Audio (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008PW3P/thepenguin/) (playable in *most* DVD players, but NOT in CD players) for $18.98.

An alternate version (http://www9.gemm.com/c/search.pl?sid=9324411&key=94408&referred_by=PENGUIN&disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=FLEETWOOD+MAC&title=SAY+YOU+WILL&&title=SAY+YOU+WILL+%2B+1&title=SAY+YOU+WILL&) of the album will apparently be released in Japan, with an "exclusive bonus track"... but so far there is no further info on that item.

In regards to the 2-disc limited edition version (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008PW3O/thepenguin/) offered by Amazon.com (and now, other online sites), there is currently no officially confirmed information about what the second disc contains, however it will most likely include the following:
"Not Make Believe" (a Stevie Nicks-penned song, not available on the album)
"Love Minus Zero/No Limit" (written by Bob Dylan)
"Peacekeeper" (live from AOL Sessions, 2/28/03)
"Say You Will" (live from AOL Sessions, 2/28/03)

The disc is also reported to contain enhanced video content (featuring live videos from the AOL Sessions), specially designed packaging, and a mini-poster.

*For five weeks (leading up to the release of 'Say You Will'), Reprise Records will be offering high-quality mp3s (http://www.repriserecords.com/fleetwoodmac/downloadsingle/) of 5 album tracks... one each week, for $1.49 apiece. You need a Paypal account (http://www.paypal.com) to order the tracks, which are then sent via email. Once received, they're yours to listen to as often as you'd like, or to burn onto CD. Unfortunately this seems to be limited to US-residents only.
The selected tracks will be....
Week 1 (currently available): Peacekeeper
Week 2: Running Through The Garden
Week 3: Steal Your Heart Away
Week 4: Smile At You
Week 5: What's The World Coming To

*A large part of the album's promotion will be done in conjunction with AOL, featuring Fleetwood Mac as AOL's March Artist Of The Month (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/music/ch/content2.jsp?cts=1&src=http://demand1.stream.aol.com/ramgen/aol/us/aolmusic/artists/wmg/fleetwoodmac/klj4398si_dk893979_web.rm).
The promotion includes the aforementioned AOL Music - First Listen preview of "Peacekeeper," (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/wrap/linker.jsp?floc=MU-ARTIST-AOTM-FLMAC&ref=http://demand1.stream.aol.com/ramgen/aol/us/aolmusic/artists/wmg/fleetwoodmac/klj4398si_dk893979_web.rm) a 'Say You Will' album listening party scheduled for April 14th, and an exclusive mini-concert at Sessions@AOL (http://channels.netscape.com/ns/music/ch/songs_sessions.jsp) (Keyword: Sessions@AOL, or Keyword: Fleetwood Mac), scheduled for mid-March.
(Non-AOL subscribers, can also access this content at the links posted above.)

*Reprise & AOL are also sponsoring a contest to win a trip to Las Vegas, to meet Fleetwood Mac, and see them perform (http://www.repriserecords.com/fleetwoodmac/aolcontest/).

*Lastly, "Peacekeeper" has been designated as the first single, with many radio stations across the country already adding it to their playlists (be sure to listen for it!).
Reprise Records has supplied radio stations with two different promo-CDs featuring alternate versions of the track.
PRO-CD-101067 (in a standard black jewel case), contains the album version, and an edit.
PRO-CD-101078 (in a white case), contains a radio mix, and a radio mix edit.
(Thanks to Luke A. for the above info.)

It's unlikely that a commercially available single will be released in the US, but a European single release is always possible.
There's no word on whether the band will film a video to promote the track.

(***The AOL Music - First Listen version of "Peacekeeper" can also be found in mp3 format, thanks to Trin... either here (http://thetonerstore.net/bbs/peacekeeper_full.mp3) or here (http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~nkerns/MP3/peacekeeper.mp3).)

Well, I think that's all of the big stuff for now!

Vianna... so far there isn't any information as to what this limited edition set would contain (though it's been suggested that it could possibly include some, if not all, of the additional songs the band recorded for 'Say You Will').

I've edited my original post to reflect that. :)

Personally, I hope this second disc contains nothing other than video clips. I want any new music to be included in a follow-up album.

Ticketmaster has a list of shows posted-some of the ones on the list posted above aren't on Ticketmaster yet. Being as they are selling tix I would assume Ticketmaster's list to be the correct one for the moment.

See, I had heard there would be a second DC show on May 10, but ticketmaster isn't showing it-at least it wasn't last night about 9 PM.

Hey, guys, it would be a good idea also to stop creating a thread every time you hear Peacekeeper on the radio. I see more than a half-dozen threads already. Please try to contain your excitement and use one of the existing threads. I'm not trying to "break your will," if you will. It just gets a little tougher to navigate through all these threads about the same thing.

Well, I hope it's a sign that a single WILL be released in Europe, but according to Warner's German website www.wea.de (http://www.wea.de) , "Say You Will" will be released in Germany on April 28th! It might also be possible that it's a mistake (although I HAVE seen April 15th being listed at that site before today) or that it's been postponed due to Madonna's new album coming out around April 21st. Well, none of that makes 100 % sense to me until we find out more. No announcement of a single at their site though.

For those who didn`t recognize: on sararhiannon not only a different version of Thrown down but also a clip of "Steal your heart away" and of LB's new tune "What`s the world coming to" are provided for download. Now that`s the 3rd version of Thrown down (as Fleetwood Mac project not the Stevie demo) I have and as it yesterday was a different one it's hard to guess which now will appear on the album. What do you think about the clips we have now? Perhaps a discussion on a new thread...

Hi,

I just wanted to advise that the Japanese pressing of Say You Will has been released and unfortunately does not include a bonus track after all! Once I learned of the album running time, I became doubtful that there would be room for anything extra and alas, that is the case. Oh well, I guess we will just have to hold out hope for some b-sides - it has been confirmed that "Say You Will" is going to be released as a single in the UK during May so perhaps something might surface there?

How did you find out anyway, if can I ask? Just wondering if you've actually seen a copy of the Japanese 'version' (ie is it different at all)

Phil
04-26-2003, 10:53 PM
Hi there DOR,

I had a friend in Japan pick up a copy for me last Wednesday (the day it was released there) and he confirmed that it only had the 18 tracks contained on the international issue.

Esprit in the UK had previously advertised the bonus track so I checked with them and was told the following:

"The Japanese CD will not be released with bonus tracks. The CD was scheduled to contain bonus tracks but this has been shelved."

The following link has details of the released Japanese edition:

http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=236299

This is disappointing news but as previously stated, I didn't hold out much hope given the 76 minutes plus running time of the standard issue.

Hi Phil

I know SYW has released to radio in the UK, but a source at Warners told me that has been no discission on weather any Fleetwood Mac singles will be released.

I hope of course that this is wrong and Warners do release a single!

The Catdancer

In The Netherlands there won't be a second single release :(
Peacekeeper was a flop and it's Warner's policy NOT to release a second one when the first one didn't well. I just hope they'll change their policy.
