Sorry in advance if it has already been posted somewhere at The Ledge, but the "Say You Will-design" for www.fleetwoodmac.com is now available. Just thought I'd let you know... :D

OMG!!! Very cool! LOL - At first, I thought Lindsey was sleeping/bored while Stevie was recording.

LOL, to be honest, I thought the same... Fortunately he said that sentence after Stevie had finished her vocal part.

Is it just me or does the version of Thrown Down on the site sound slightly different....? I hear an added guitar and also extra vocals....

can someone please post some urls to get directly into the site. I don't know what they're trying to do, but the window that opens immediately when I go to fleetwoodmac.com has nothing in it, and I cannot advance further. I have downloaded the multimedia player they recommend, but that does not appear to help. I am looking for the url to go directly to fanclub registration, thank you.

To answer stefan's question it's Thrown Down.

And yes seteca, I agree with you. It does sound a little different.

I have to say, many people have been worried about Stevie's clarity and range over the last couple of years. I thought she sounded amazing on this clip--very much like she did on The Dance.

OK, everytime we get new things like this I get closer to having a stroke waiting for April 15th to get here!!!

Yes, I forgot to mention that...but it was definitely the first thing that really struck me...she does sound VERY good in that clip. No backing, no machines, no dubbing...."amazing" is indeed the right word in my opinion, Nightbird Brett. She sounds even BETTER than she did on The Dance. If she is sounding so good, I am puzzled as to why they (i.e. I assume LB) put her voice through those effects on Peacekeeper (and no doubt other songs we have yet to hear)....

Regardless, I am now looking extra forward to seeing her in concert....! Way to go Stevie!

It's an eye-opener (or is it ear-opener;)) to hear Stevie record those vocals. She is awesome!

I can't believe the new sound of Thrown Down - an outstanding improvement - so much more Lindsey!

I wonder if that version of Thrown Down is going to be on the CD. It sounds faster and I hear jingle effects. I hope so. The other drags a little.

I agree, Stevie sounded FANTASTIC in that small clip. I was really taken aback. It kind of pisses me off that they did make her sound so nasally and muted in Peacekeeper when she can still wail like that!

WOW!! this version of "Thrown Down" previewed on the new FM SITE just makes more sense doesn't it !!.....Its vastly different from the version floating around now...(I always hoped that wasnt the final version, even though its still very good). BUT this new version has those tinkling guitars like "You and I, pt 1" or even like Bob Welchs' "Sentimental Lady".....
And I love that reverb part where Linsdey's sings...we should be together......together....(echo),,,this is fantastic.....this arrangement is so much more timeless ....like classic Fleetwood Mac
heres hoping this is the final version....or a preview of it!!!

And Stevie VOICE...accapella...AMAZING!!... for a those of who are trepidatious about "Smile At You" at this stage ...should rest assured..

YEAH!!! i'm soooo excited now

:D :D

WHY can't Peacekeeper sound THAT good?!!?!??! LOL Sigh....

Like last time, I think it probably bares repeating that a second generation soundclip on the Net isn't going to sound the same as the album track. There's a mushiness factor that creeps in over the Net sometimes. Just a thought. ;)

Nice opening page to the new official site. I hope the redesign of the rest isn't too far behind.

Stevie really does sound awesome in this clip...I was soooo proud!

WOW. That was amazing to see and hear. Let's all remember...the recording process is long and tedious, with many overlays and tinkering. What we heard was a song in the process of being created. By no means shall we judge or assume that this is the "version" that will be on the album. Obviously what we saw and heard was a work in progress. From that perpsective, it seems misguided to assume that this is what the song will sound like!!!

I'm with PenguinHead on this - whilst Stevie sounds great, her phrasing indicates that this was an early attempt at a lead vocal and the instrumentation we can hear sounds like a very rough draft, not a finished track. I certainly hope those rank "we should be together" backing vocals are eradicated from the final mix - tacky! I'm desperately hoping that the leaked version is a closer approximation of the final mix.

I think this vocal or one like it is in the mix of the song I heard. Its just the low harmony of it. Stevie usually layers her vocals in different notes of the harmony. But, the song sounds faster and different.

Excellent point Les. I'm sure you can't hear all the intricacies of the recording.

Stevie's voice sounds SO SWEET! I can't wait to get this cd as I'm sure all the songs will be top notch classic FM.

Finally something new on the Fleetwood Mac site.....I like it and damn those Maccers are looking fine!

Just to let you know...Stevie is singing in a higher key on the website version of Thrown Down then the one I have (actually the whole song is in a different key) ....the higher she sings ...the more I like it.
