Assuming the track list that was posted in another thread is on point, which of Stevie's songs are you the most excited about from the new album? I have only included those from the album which we have already heard in demo/outtake format . . . .
Smile At You
Thrown Down
Goodbye Baby (The Tower?)
Running Through the Garden

For me, it's "Running Through The Garden."
I just hope Lindsey's production retains the manic intensity of Stevie's demo/outtake version.

As much as I love "Smile At You", but I´m most excited about hearing FM´s version of "Running Through The Garden" as well.

I vote for RTTG as well....probably because its the one that seems MOST suprising as a Fleetwood Mac song.....
the outtake version is so Stevie, I cant even imagine what lindsey has done with it.!! This should be interesting.

It's a toss up for me betwen "Smile at You" and "Goodbye Baby" (if that song is what we call "The Tower"). Both songs mean something equally as powerful to me, so I like them for different reasons. However, while I can see a decent studio version of "Smile at You", it is harder for me to imagine "Goodbye Baby/The Tower" as a studio version. I guess I am just a die hard fan of Stevie's simple and beautiful piano demos.

Tough question! I think it's a tie for me, between Smile At You and RTTG... I just pray that this Smile At You is an angry version, too, lol.

I still can't believe "Running Through the Garden" is on there!! I love that demo - but I thought I was the only one. It's so cool so many other people are excited.

Well, I would have to say "Goodbye Baby a/k/a The Tower." My only reservation is the ending of this song on the demo is relatively the same in its repetition of the word "baby" as in "When I See You Again" from Tango in the Night. I like WISYA, but cannot stand the 20 or more repeated saying of Baby!!!! Hopefully, they LB will not repeat that or let that be repeated!!!
Having said that, I am still hoping for Space Needle as I love that song. In my opinion, Space Needle's lyrics and music are far superior to "Illume" and "Thrown Down," which I find kind of cheesy and trite (Just my opinion:cool: ) . But, hey, LB and SN never called for my opinion

Running Through the Garden!
That's a song Stevie can get ugly on and I love when she does that!

I am not one of those people that collect all the demos or have even heard a lot of them... so I am gonna have to say that I am most excited about Smile At You because it was one of the few that I have heard. I am really looking forward to hearing the other Stevie songs as well!

That was me 'till I got RTTG off sararhiannon's site. Now I'm - RUNNING THROUGH THE GARDEN myself! lol. This must have single potential. I just don't understand why Stevie never used it on her previous solo albums??
I join with everyone in really hoping the tempo, fervour, and 'mania' (as Johnny says) of the demo is retained in the Lindsey/FM version!

If Goodbye Baby is The Tower, I will be a crying mess... I'm real interested in hearing what LB will do with that and where Stevie's vocals are on a studio release.

I agree with you 100%. RTTG is great, and I wonder why it has been neglected in the past too. I think it would have fit quite well on TISL, and even went along with the album's theme. It's right up there with Fall From Grace. I am absolutely most excited to hear it on the new album, I just hope that we're not disappointed with the final product.

A couple of people have been mentioning that they're really looking forward to hearing Illume on the new album. Is there some place that we can hear a version of this song, or is all this hype based upon the poem from Stevie's journal on the Nicksfix? Just curious.

I know, I cannot wait to hear Stevie's explanation of "The Tower." Despite all of the theories I have heard, I have always thought it is about the taking of Rhiannon's baby without her knowledge from her, then blaming her for the baby's "death," and then they take her to "The Tower" for punishment. But, we shall see soon (hopefully). Will April 15, ever get here!!!!!

Illume is playing during the 5 minute VBOFM video. It's the one whith Stevie on the couch. The tiny snipet of it, is enough too. IT"S AMAZING to me. It's probibly my most inticipated song too:lol:

personally, I am looking forward to Silver Girl since we know absolutely nothing about this song..no demo, no lyrics, no interview tidbits.
but don't get me wrong, I will probably absolutely love the other songs as well.
I just hope the demos, Smile at You and Running thru the Garden still Rock A Little, Lindsey does tend to slow things down when he produces some of Stevie's tunes...
