View Full Version : More crap from The Knight
Hawkeye

I can only take it so far guys. We got an offer from a tour operator and the band seemed to feel that if the fans wanted this, they'd take time on a concert nite (just think about that level of loyalty from the artists) to meet those who cared that much that they would book a hotel and tour pack. So I understand differences of opinion and encourage open banter here. But there has to be some level of civility. Too bad the rotten apples really do spoil the barrel.
For the future - Those of you with 3 or 4 stars by your names who have experience here - slap some sense into the offenders. The goal is for this board to encourage participation!
We move on . . .
Hugs to the "Good Guys (and Gals)"

God bless those of you who continue to visit that board. You have the patience of the saints. I observed frequently when Mick's website was first put up, but then I quickly realized how freaky it is over there, especially with "The Knight" and his countless others who count themselves amongst his minions (sp?) of evil. Now I don't even bother reading the posts much less posting myself. Thank god for the ledge and its general lack of that kind of bs.

The worst bull**** for me is the mention of the 'die-hard' fans coughing up to join the fan club. So I am not a die hard fan cause I don'y cough up??

Boy I'm offended by what Knight said. I guess I'm a bad apple because I don't buy into his outragous offer.Even though I have been a die hard fan for over 27 years. And becouse I don't have 3 stars by my name I'm not worthy. I do have a life than hanging out with Mick 24/7. As it is I can't even afford to see them live when that has been my life long dream. It seems to knight if I have loads of money or sacrifice my life to Mick I'm worthy. Get real.

Slap some sense?? Ha! I'll go one on one with any of those cronies any day..i knock them on their @ss when it comes to the battle of the words man...I see no problem in requesting civility, but the fact is,the little Mick wingnuts were the ones who attacked all of us who stated, quite respectivly i might add,our opinion. They didn't agree, and out came the fangs..and if anyone from Mick's board is lurking..HI!!! Bring it on.... or go running back to the Knight or whatever his name is and tell him all about the Ledge..and how we rotten apples like it better here anyway:)
What does he mean by, "I can only take it so far?"

i must admit i DID spend a couple of minutes reading that board a couple of times. i found it appalling.
i noticed some (former?) ledgies there and was amazed, why defect this cool place? to be embraced by mick's sweet greedy warmth? gimme a break...
i certainly hope mick in person is not fully responsible for what's going on that board (and site), the only good thing i have to say on his behalf is that he was always a bad businessman and he still remains one.
how come every U2 fan was invited to visit their studio's online cam in real time while recording, and now i'm being asked to pay so much $$$ to see some old FM footage? why should i hope for better seats for a concert if the european leg of the tour is still in doubt? (no way i'm going to the US to see them there again.) it's pathetic. it's a classic exaple for the worst possible promotion. it's promotion damnit! it should be free!
i also find it degrading that fleetwood mac, a notorious band in terms of fans-band relations, will take their precious time after an exhausting show to nicely meet the fans for money's sake. c'mon, do you really need the money that desperetly?
do they honestly believe that wer'e money milking cows? sorry mr. fleetwood but i'm nothing but a poor student nowdays, if i'm lucky enough i could scratch some money to come see a (150$)concert in amsterdam or london, but if you think you can milk 1100$ from me than you are dead wrong, coz tommercow is dry and pissed!

"Those who cared"?! Well, gee, I guess I'm just a casual pee-on fan because I'm not willing to spend $1100 just to get backstage.
That board is freaky...I did register, read it maybe once or twice, and I haven't been back. I much prefer The Ledge.

Yeah, I agree, if you don't have the money and if you don't want to be in the meet and greet or in the fan club..that DOES NOT make you any less of a fan than anyone who does have the money!!! ABSURD!!! I joined the fan club out of curiosity and because I do have the money, but that is RIDICULOUS to say that you are not as much of a fan if you don't pay for stuff!! GOOD GRAVY!! I just HATE when people say "I'm their #1 fan!!" Gimme a frickin break, we are ALL their #1 fans, because we support them!!

ok, this really picks my ass. first of all.. those bastards have no right to decide who is and who is not a "big fan."
secondly.. i have the money to do the "super-duper-fan-club" stuff.. and um, i'm sure as hell not gonna do it because, quite frankly, its a WASTE of MONEY. mick fleetwood and his toady knight are NOT gods, and i, for one, will not bow down. the "chat board whores" (aka fleetwood angels) can DISSENT THIS. i'm going to fleetwood hell, obviously.
for sheezy. they're basically tryin to say.. if you don't give us tons of money (to buy golf shirts!) then.. you don't REALLY care about fleetwood mac. yo.. that is ruining FM's image in a serious way. if they were smart.. they'd cut the **** before the record came out.. all it does is piss people off, and they don't have the merch. in their hot little hands yet.
if it wasn't for me believing that Lindsey & Stevie are more than this sort of thing.. i'd say piss on the record, I don't even want it now. Or rather.. I'll borrow someone else's and burn 75 copies to distribute freely.
now that i think about it.. i might do that anyway.

So, I guess a lot has really happened recently! It just HAD to be when I was crazy busy that the good stuff came through :D How is everyone? Hey, I know this is going to sound very ignorant, but I haven't been real on top of things lately... is there a tour or anything actually scheduled yet? Will there be? I know his name is Jonathan and he had something to do with Mick's Acid drum loop "Total drumming" CD thingy but that's it and I personally don't care enough about him to investigate it further. :)
Laurrhi - Yes, there is a tour to start in May and they will be doing the US (probably Canada too but once again I don't care enough about the tour to investigate it further) but I do feel for our non Non American ledgies as it looks like as time goes on, that it was a lie (again) that they "will do a "world" tour". I know some have speculated that it may "be the label and not the band" but why was it months ago that whenever the band memebers were asked in interviews when the album would be coming out there were non commital answers and when it comes to the tour it's OK for them to say "oh yes, we'll definitely be touring the "world"!" and then they don't do it? You'd think the label would tell them to be just as non commital about that but I guess not. If I was in a band and thought I was getting poor communication from the label as to "what I was supossed to say if asked (this) in an interview" I'd make my voice heard at the label's offices to try and get it sorted out but eh, who knows though?! :) I don't LIKE to do the "assuming" of "they must think it's OK to give fans wrong info if they don't sort out their communication problems with their (label, management etc.)" but what else are we left to assume? (sigh) oh well (again!). Anyways, I hope the data I WAS able to pass along was of some help! :)

I know I'm thankful that Mick did not buy this great site to be his offical fan club. We all know what would off happened if he did. It would be destroyed for his money making machine.
This is a great site thats keep it that way.
I think the only reason Mick got his site going was for the love of money.
I'm a bigger fan that most of the people over there, just becasue I don't bend down and worship him with my money.......oh don't let me go there.
Personaly I think Mick should send me to a concert free becouse I have never been able to afford it all my life. But mick stuffs his mattress with money sooo.
Also I get tired of Knight saying how much it cost to run that site and how they need to charch what they do. Makes me sick.

I did post over "there" under my nickname...And the crowd over there mostly seems rather "strange" to me....
"I'm a bigger fan that most of the people over there, just becasue I don't bend down and worship him with my money.......oh don't let me go there."
Is it me, or is it that usually when "fanatics" start worshiping people and "bending" down to them that we end up with "Cult-like" groups? (Examples included-Heaven's Gate & David Koresh...) Does this mean when all of Mick's & his administrators' ideas finally become "too mind controlling" that his website will kill itself?
ps-Not everyone over "there" is a "fanatic"...Nor am I claiming they are, But it seems that "some" are willing to play along with the game instead of questioning decisions made by Mick and/or his handlers...

I actually did go there, when it first opened, and registered under the same username that I have here. I even posted the first couple of times that I went there, but...
It didn't take long for that place to start scaring me, lol! So, I quit posting, except to ask a question last week about the stupid fan club thing.
I've gone over there a couple of times in the past week though, just to read through some of the threads. It's soooo funny! If anyone wants a good laugh, just go read Mick's board. LOLOL! They're (well, MOST of them anyway) just delusional. Blind followers. Did anyone see that post (I think it was from the Knight "himself") that said that they didn't appreciate the bashing of band members. It is an "official" site, and any band member bashing posts would be deleted. "There are "other" boards for that sort of thing." (Not word for word quote, but basically what was said.)
So.....I say we just all go over there and post "I love Mick" over and over and over again. Make a 55 page thread, with posts saying nothing but "Mick is great" "Mick Rocks"....yadda yadda yadda. Seems like that's all you're allowed to say anyway.
Oh well. I think I'll stick with the Ledge and Nancy's B/N message board. Marty and Nancy....ya'll rock! :D

It's starting already! The 1000+ poster-5-star-Mick-worshippers are totally jumping down anybody's throats for saying ANYTHING about any band members that is less than complimentary. I was there for like 60 seconds , and I saw one of them scolding someone with something like, "that's not nice. Let's all just be nice" (aaaaaagggh!) and another similar comment about something that must have been deleted because I couldn't see what it was referring to!
K, I'm not taking any more peeks. It's just too scary now. I don't even think it's that funny anymore. Just sad :distress:

I agree that it's great to be *nice*....It's just that, over there, you can't even state your *opinion*. You can't say you don't like something, even if you say it in the nicest way possible. I mean, I don't like it when I see posts or threads *anywhere* that involve posters calling each other names and just being downright mean, rude, and disrespectful. But the few times that I've been over there, I've read some of the posts from people trying to say that they don't particularly care for a certain song or whatever and another poster comes right back and tells them they aren't fans...that maybe they shouldn't be posting on Mick's board if they don't like him/them....blah blah blah. It's just so plastic.
And you're right Sonia, it IS sad. I just can't help but laugh though at how some of them come across. :)
Can you imagine if we were to start one of the album polls over there like the one for TISL on the Stevie board here? My gawd, they'd have a heart attack. Maybe we should do that for the Mojo cd when/if Mick sends it out.

Yep it's a sad state of affairs over there isn't it. I just posted my thoughts, but it will probably be deleated.
I see they have the virtual tour up and running, only of course the rich and cult followers can only afford. Since they are the only real and true fans.

As wetcamelfood said, his name is Jonathon and he was involved in Mick's Acid Loop Library as a producer!
Below taken from a Oct 2002 article - http://www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com/articles/FMart87.htm
Total Drumming is a series of drum loops Fleetwood has created with Sonic Foundry, a highly regarded digital media software company. Utilizing the company's technology and aligning it with their flagship product ACID™, a loop-based creation tool used extensively by musicians and producers to create royalty-free music, Total Drumming boasts over 800 drum patterns developed by Fleetwood with assistance from producer Jonathan Todd and Sonic Foundry's Mike Schelbinger. In his own inimitable way, the drummer has embraced the project wholeheartedly.

"nice this, a-hole." seriously.. they only have like, a one-sided view of nice. how "nice" is it for a multi-millionaire to, basically, cheat/lie, or rather, falsely advertise the goods to the less-fortunate middle or lower class people out of their hard earned money for something that he puts no effort into ANYWAY. i wish i could get freakin.. 1100 for meeting people. anyway. "nice" would be if this "fleetwood-mac-is-my-life!!!" attitude, you know, the one displayed on the FM Behind the Music, was actually how the man operated. Instead of enjoying this great FM phenomenon, it's being milked like a fat, pregnant cash cow.. and its fans are, IMO, trying to be played for fools.
Good thing most of us aren't fools.
