Apparently this is just the 'first leg', and there's the prospect of 'international' touring afterwards (ie, Canada! hah!..yeah, real overseas!!).

Dates and venues will be announced next week.

There's a good chance that the entire band will appear on the Today Show in NY on April 18.

"Good chance"? :s:rolleyes:

Only 41 dates, huh? Well, that is between 40 and 60, but I was really hoping for someting closer to 60. But the fact that they're billing it as the "first leg" is very encouraging.

And we get tour dates this week?! :D Time to get out those vacation request forms at work!

I'd love that, but I know that I wouldn't be able to go.

Yeah I would definitely consider going to Canada if they went there (I have rellies there and my grandmother is going over this year). But would rather just go to Japan or Oz, obviously!

I only expect a 40 or so city tour so this is no big news. again, there have been times in the past where the tour was supposed to be more but it never worked out...as long as i can see them a few times in the NY area i'm fine. I may just have to trek on down to see the "Today" show thing IF that pans out. again, IF that happens.

Ok, I'm reassured by the fact that they say the first leg of the tour is the 41 cities in the U.S.A.

BUT.....IF......their idea of "WORLDWIDE/INTERNATIONAL" is "U.S.A. and CANADA".......I WILL BE......VERY........VERY............ANGRY!!!

That would be a SICK JOKE on Mick's part, and NOT THAT FUNNY!!!

I am definitely with you on this one Seteca!! I am ever hopeful Mick will stick to his word and tour overseas but I have seen other Stevie and FM tours billed as World tours and they haven't been so....

Maybe they made the US leg only 41 shows on purpose. Im mean if they had made it 60.... there would be less chance they'd go anywhere else (knowing them). They'd be much more tired and just end it there.

And the fact that they mentioned Canada really makes me at ease about adding on more dates and legs to the tour. Canada will probably be the beginning of the second leg, then they'll head off to Europe and the rest of the world (as they promised! or as MICK promised!).

but I just have the feeling that FM will ONCE again skip OKC and/or the state of Oklahoma...Having the new Ford Center could possibly sway an appearance but I'm NOT getting my hopes up just yet, Brian J.

Hey, I'm from OK, but I live in Alaska now. They would never come here. That's why I'm going to see all the cities and choose one to go to.

Well I am a little upset. For starters NO CANADIDAN DATES !!!!!
Now I am ina quandry asto whether to go to the states or to wait and see if the tour does reach Canada ( Ottawa Ontario hopefully). I am afraid that if I wait then I will never get to se them. I hope they release the dates soon and get a move on on letting us know of the second leg.

I am so extremely depressed right now. I have been saying for a year now that I would be there on openinig night. I just checked my school schedule and I have a final that very day. All I can hope now is that they open in a city close to my home. But I doubt that that will happen--no one ever starts their tour in LA. I think I'm gonna go cry now.:distress: :distress:

Of all the luck---stupid finals!!!

I know exactly how you feel...I have my uni. finals starting that week going right through to the end of May. It sucks! I don't mind not seeing them on their opening night, but I was looking forward to flying to the U.S. to see them in L.A., especially since the UK is once again looking unlikely (Mick seems to like yo-yo-ing the Brits' emotions)....so hopefully they won't play there till at least early June. We'll find out soon....!

I've already warned my hubby that this will be another $500/2 seat concert. I'm using my part of the tax check to get my 4th row seats that I had at The Dance show. I LOVE legal ticket scalping!:D

If you're going to a scalpe- , um...a "ticket broker", then yep, that will get you about 4th row. I hate dealing with them, because the markup is so ridiculous. But I did it for The Dance show - 2nd row - and it was worth it. Still, I'm finding that I have better luck now with a fast internet connection the day tickets go on sale. But I guess it depends on the venue and the number of tickets. If someone really, really has their heart set on a great seat, they just might have to go the scalper route.

A great way I've found to nab good tickets is to check with Ticketmaster (or whatever agency is contracted to sell the "face value" tickets) either the day before, or day of, the show. 99% of the time, new sections of seats open up due to more room is available after the stage is set up or the Sound booth is arranged. Also, check with the will-call window to see if any unclaimed tickets have been released for re-sale.

Thats exactly what I did for the Rolling Stones show last Tuesday, Instead of paying $150 for a ticket in the reserved section I payed only $50 for mine...After the stages were set up there was a bunch of great tickets available up until the time the Stones took the stage...Brian J.

That's what I paid for 4th row at The Dance, and it was well worth it! I am too paranoid that I will not get a good seat, or a seat at all if I wait until the last minute. That's why I say hell with it and go to a broker. So, maybe I am crazy, but I'm a crazy with a damn good seat!! FMac is'nt the only band I've paid good money too see. We saw Petty on the Echo tour with 5th row, and I think I paid $300 for those. That was hubby's first concert up front and he about had a heartattack! He LOVED it, so he don't complain too much. And long ago, an ex bought us front row to Metallica, and that is what hooked me on good seats. I got to shake all their hands and even chatted with one of them for a few minutes. I put no price on memories like that!
