If I get it, I'll post it... but I haven't even heard it yet! ;) I'm sure they'll repeat the ad tonight, though.

They did about 15 minutes ago and I almost fell off my chair.
I really like what I've heard.

Here's an MP3 of the commercial:

It was recorded/ripped by Judy, who's constantly doing nice stuff like this. I'm not sure if she posts here-- but thanks again, Judy :)

Wow - thanks so much Sararhiannon, and the elusive Judy! :wavey:
I agree - it's got such a cool catchy chorus. I love how Lindsey has got the sound of Stevie's voice, and the music in general.
Here's to more promos!!
 ;)
Stevie sounds awful on the soundbite of "Say You Will" - all that post production tweaking and doctoring... yuk! What on earth possessed them to mess with her voice in such a detrimental way?

You are a goddess :D Thanx so much :D Judy whoever you are, you rule too :D
Such an interesting way to promote the album and possible first single, i assume it doesnt say anything about the music being played at the end of the commercial???
Quite catchy, but hmmm I dunno it doesnt do much for me instantly like peacekeeper and Thrown down did

Thanks, Sararhiannon and Judy!
That is one catchy song. It's already stuck in my head after two listens. I like.
I do hope, though, that Stevie has one or two "weird" songs on the new album, along the lines of "Gold Dust Woman" or "Sisters of the Moon." The two tracks we've heard by her so far ("Say You Will" and "Thrown Down") are both pretty mainstreamy.
How exciting that things finally seem to be moving forward with the new album!

From this clip(thanks for posting this Sara & Judy!!) and Thrown Down....I agree, Lindsey has captured Stevie voice with purpose- aligning it perfectly with the production quality only he hears in his mind, i dont even know how to describe it really-It has a very strong nice sounding resonance and tonal quality.
This song brings to my mind L & S collaborations on "Mirage" all mixed together with a fun and fresh catchy chorus!! ( Stevie chorus nay-sayers take note)
I like it very much, its pefectly produced with restraint in all the right places....from what I can hear.
What this makes me realize( and I guess I already knew this, but its a great reminder) Is that Stevie is captured best in this light- Lindsey IS her music soul-mate, and this makes her solo work of late sound sometimes over-produced, and when its not as in say SA, its just un-imaginative.
Lindsey brings just the perfect amount of quirkiness to the strange and unique world of Stevie Nicks

Thanks from me, as well.
Ok, let's discuss.
Anyone else think that "Say You Will" has an almost "Christine McVie-ish" sound?? I can easily hear Christine singing that hook line.

I agree Chili D. It has a very "light hearted" sound to me. It doesnt have that "structured" sound that "Thrown Down" has, it's much more jangly, for lack of a better word.
Even the lyrics kind of sound Christine-ish in a way with the message of the song being kind of eternal: "give me one more chance to change your mind..." though I never thought I'd hear Stevie ever sing those words since she had such a tough time with "Reconsider Me".
I like it a lot. I can't wait to hear the entire song.

yes i thought that as well-same goes for Thrown Down-, but mostly because Stevies lyrics on these are so straight forward. and also cause it sounds organic if you know what i mean ..
someone else mentioned this as well-but Im also hoping Stevie has a couple of strange compositions in the bag on the new CD

Yes, thanks SaraRhiannon and Judy.
It does sound a bit Christine McVie-ish, and mainstreamy...hopefully there's a good mix of the catchy and the obscure on this album like there is on all the other great Mac albums. I really can't get enough of hearing Lindsey's unmistakeable guitar sound behind Stevie's voice. The only thing cooler than that is hearing those two voices blend together!

Thanks Sara and Judy! I actually heard this last night during the commercial breaks while watching American Idol. I really liked it a lot! The chorus is very catchy. I can't get it out of my head.. even my brother liked it and he doesn't really like FM music that much.. lol. I can't wait to hear the entire song and all the rest of the new music!!

Wow, I like Stevie's voice here much better than on "Thrown Down." Yes, the chorus is catchy, I hope Lindsey's vocals that he laid down for the track will be on the track too.
Oh, and where in the commercial did they mention the new album?!

From what I've heard (the promo clip), I'm not too into it, either. I don't want to judge it until I get to hear the whole thing, but I honestly don't think this is going to be a favorite of mine. I adore Thrown Down & (especially) Peacekeeper, though! If those songs are any indication of what we can be expecting in April or May, then I'm VERY excited.

I really like it, alot. I swore to myself I wouldn't listen to anymore before I got the album...but since this wasn't the whole song...lol, I cheated. I love Stevie's voice, and I love the Lindsey sound. I can't wait to hear the rest of it!

I agree with SaraRhiannon and Macfan. I was waaaay under impressed with this song. Her vocals are just flat and lifeless... and the song seems to go nowhere. It's just fluffy pop music. Give me Thrown Down any day over this!

Same here. Although, I think I'll have to listen to it more then decide.(I don't really like listening to a song once and then deciding whether I like it, or not)

Did anyone else get this email from Mick's site? It asks you to pre-order the cd (which I really don't see much point in doing for that price) and has SaraRhiannon's link to the fox clip mp3. Did anybody find this odd? I mean, it's Mick's site, you think he'd have access to the clip without the voice-over, or to his own audio of the tv clip. SaraRhiannon is one of the coolest Mac fans I've ever encountered (and has an awesome site), and I'm sure she's cool with it, but it doesn't even thank her or give her credit for it, even though the link is clearly to her site. Then it give a link to the "knightly news" which I didn't bother to click on, because, as I've mentioned, that site's board wreaks havoc on my browser. Is there any "news" there? I dunno. I find this all a bit of a head-scratcher.

Yeah - Im certainly scratching my head that they were happy to link to a site that deals in underground stuff - the sort of thing you wouldnt expect band officials to rush and embrace. Not this band anyway...:distress: Oh well, its all cool
I second what u say about Sararhiannon, Sonia - she is so cool.:wavey:

Lindsey's really rockin' on that guitar.

I wasn't actually impressed TOO much but I know I'll love it eventually!
I guess after all this time we are expecting groundbreaking breathtaking songs...nothing mediocre. Im sure we will get that:)
Thanks for posting that!!:)
