What are your top 10 fave Chris FM songs? :D
1. Little Lies - I could listen to this song on repeat forever, it's a song I remember hearing as a kid, but never knew it was FM! I love LB and SN's bgv's and it's got AWESOME keyboarding!!
2. Isn't It Midnight - I really love Lindsey's parts on this one and that guitar solo...WOOHOO! Oh, and I love Chris' voice on it too. LOL
3. Why - HEARTBREAKING lyrics and just awesome!
4. Brown Eyes - SEXIEST FM song...hands down!! ;)
5. Show Me A Smile - What a great lullaby this is! I enjoy the music in this song SO much!!
6. Just Crazy Love - This is a neat song, fun to bop along to. LOL
7. Save Me - My fave BTM-era song. Extremely catchy too!
8. Keep on Going - I love her vocals and the music rox!!
9. Only Over You - I think I'm one of the few that LOVE this song, it's soothing to listen to and I love the melody of it.
10. Think About Me - This song sounds so unique to me, and everytime Chris and Lindsey "duet" together, it ROX!!
You may be asking yourself "Self, why is Songbird NOT on Christy's list?" Well, it's never been a fave of mine, it's a beautiful song and I like it, but it's not one of those put on repeat kind of songs for me. I prefer the sadness of Why over the romanticism of Songbird.

Count me in with the "like everything she's done" crowd. But, despite saying that, some seem to stand out more than others, to me:
Why
Brown Eyes
Isn't It Midnight
Bad Loser
Love Shines
Believe Me
Morning Rain
Nights In Estoril
Dissatisfied
Mystified
A Technicality:
"Keep On Going" is a Bob Welch song...Chris just sang it.

4.Isnt it midnight
5.Everywhere
6.Wish you were here
7.Only over you
8.Little lies
9.Nights in Estoril
10.Think about me
Honorable mentions to:
Skies the limit
Love in store
Hold me
Never forget
Songbird
Id say the only crappy song she has done is 'Mystified'

1)Songbird
2)Why
3)Hold Me
4)You Make Loving Fun
5)Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
6)Over My Head
7)Never Make Me Cry
8)Brown Eyes
9)Everywhere/Little Lies
10)Love Shines/Heart Of Stone
Honorable Mention:
Did You Ever Love Me
The Way That I Feel
Come A Little Bit Closer
Prove Your Love
Say You Love Me
Warm Ways
Oh Daddy
Think About Me
Wish You Were Here
Mystified
Behind The Mask
All Over Again
I couldn't pick just 10 songs. I love every single one of her Fleetwood Mac songs.
"All Over Again" stinks plain and simple, as do all of Christine's contributions to the woeful "Time" album. Jesus, any kid stumbling upon her output post 1980 would surely consider the ol' girl to be the most appallingly bad recording artist known to mankind. Just imagine how envious she is of Stevie - it's a wonder she hasn't topped herself!

1. Little Lies - Classic/ And probably the earliest Mac song for me too:nod:
2. Isn't It Midnight - I really love Lindsey's parts on this one and that guitar solo...WOOHOO! Oh, and I love Chris' voice on it too. LOL
3. Why - HEARTBREAKING lyrics and just awesome!
4. Brown Eyes - SEXIEST FM song...hands down!! ;)
OK Christy, from here I diverge! lol
5. Over & Over - The perfect pop ballad. It's like hypnosis!
6. You Make Lovin Fun - This is THE BEST! This, GYOW and Rhiannon are Fleetwood Mac to me, if you had to really pare it all down.
7. DON'T STOP - How can I be the only one to mention this all-time classic? Did Clinton eventually ruin it for you?? lol
8. As Long As You Follow - V. well done. I love John's bass on this!
9. Only Over You - I just wanted to mention it becuase it's SO BAD! lol. It's like she deserves an award for that! ;) Meanwhile I'd blame Lindsey just as much for the production.
10. Hold Me - For the same reasons why Christy chose Think About Me! "..everytime Chris and Lindsey "duet" together, it ROX!!" Love the piano solo parts.
11. Songbird Seeing as no. 9 was just a joke, Christine's signature piece gets a special place at no. 11. It's a lullaby just like she says. But the best thing is the live reditions and how each one is a bit different, including some truly remarkable and upliftingly powerful ones.

I could NOT disagree with you any more. "Time" was NOT woeful...it was a VERY good album...I obviously am one of the few people (probably alone like Tom Hanks in "Castaway") who would've liked to have heard a second album from that cast & crew.

Ive been listening to 'Time' ALOT recently and to be honest its a damned good album
I assume people who say they dont like it have never listened to it, or just say the hate it for the boring reason that Lindsey and Stevie arent part of it!! *yawn*
I would also like to have seen a Time 2

3. Everywhere
4. Isn't It Midnight
5. Oh Daddy
6. Hold Me
7. You Make Loving Fun
8. Say You Love Me
9. Think About Me
10. Temporary One
These songs are some of the best Mac songs EVER.
Thinking about this is a little depressing. I have to say....as much as I have always liked the music of Stevie and Lindsey more than Christines'...I'm so afraid this new album/tour will really feel like something huge is missing. Her contribution as a songwriter, in my opinion, wasn't nearly as essential as her warm voice blending in there...especially the way it blends with Lindsey's...I'll miss that so much. Sorry to be pessimistic, but Thrown Down is just BEGGING for her harmonies in there, don't you think?

"All Over Again" stinks plain and simple, as do all of Christine's contributions to the woeful "Time" album. The disagreement from this side is enormous and total. First of all because Time is not a "woeful", album. While it's not the best in Fleetwood Mac's carreer it's a pretty enjoyable effort. And second of all because all of Christine's contributions are fantastic gems, pretty much some of the most commited songs she'd ever written to that date. And "All Over Again" is a fantastic way of saying goodbye to the band. Much better (although I really like it) than Stevie's "The Second Time".
Just imagine how envious she is of Stevie - it's a wonder she hasn't topped herself! Envious of Stevie???? Now that's a new thing. Good thought. First time I ever come to read such a thing. You have got to be kidding.

My top ten Christine songs would be:
1. Why - My favorite Fleetwood Mac song of any era, and possibly one of my favorite songs ever. Just so beautiful.
2. Brown Eyes - How much can six lines express in one fantastically arranged bluesy tune. My fave song from the Rumours lineup.
3. Songbird - My favorite song from the Rumours album. Solemn, and a fantastic anthem.
4. Come A Little Bit Closer - I love the orchestra arrangements, and fo course Christine's way to express the insecurity of the upcoming love. Cool.
5. Hold Me - As mentioned, Christine and Lindsey achieved some fantastic harmonies.
6. Spare Me A Little Bit Of Your Love - A Fleetwood Mac classic. Kind of gospell-ish. I love it. :)
7. Show Me A Smile - Impressively cute.
8. Isn't It Midnight - Probably the best rocker she ever wrote (with help from Eddy & Lindsey of course).
9. You Make Loving Fun - One of the classic moments of the pop from the 70's.
10. All Over Again - I'm just crazy about this song...
Oh I could go on and on but I'll just stop here.

1. Why I love this song. It's beautiful and very moving. I just get really touched by lines like "My heart will rise with the morning sun, and the hurt I feel will simply melt away." I actually find it very encouraging and uplifting as opposed to heartbreaking.
2. Songbird Once again, beautiful and emotionally potent.
3. Don't Stop Who could not like this song? That full stop towards the end is such a terrific touch.
4. Little Lies Fun. The first video I ever saw was of this song. Great tune!
5. Hold Me Gotta love this one too.
6. Think About Me I especiallyl like the bridge with Lindsey: "I don't hold you down - maybe that's why you're around!"
7. Say You Love Me Christine really knows how to write fun, easy-to-sing with songs, and this is one of them.
8. Did You Ever Love Me A little offbeat for Christine, but I like it a lot.
10. You Make Lovin' Fun This is catchy one...although I have to admit I got sick ot it after a while.
Honorable Mentions:
As Long As You Follow
Temporary One
The Smile I Live For
Got a Hold On Me
Everywhere
Love In Store
I'll miss her....although I am excited about getting different stuff on the tour to replace her standards!
Imagine how much Stevie and Lindsey would snigger at the unparalleled ineptness of "All Over Again"? (That's if they were able to endure it long enough to suffer the assault.) I have to admit though that I get a laugh out of it as well. The ol' girl sure knows how to tell 'em! Dumb as well as ugly.

I love this song too...but why is everyone forgetting that Stevie is also on that part (listen closely, she is)??
Anyway, here are my picks (in no particular order, can't decide):
Oh Daddy
Brown Eyes
Songbird
Think About Me
Hold Me
Heart of Stone (I just really like the chorus)
Little Lies
Why

Well as bashful as I am, I must admit to being rather fetching in the looks department. That, however, implies no degree of superiority on my part, particularly when it comes to those less blessed in terms of physicality. Christine may be plain but you gotta love her - she's like a favourite old blanket... worn but comfortable. However, she could do with a spruce up now and then. Just my opinion kids.

Crikey, this is a tough task!
At first I thought, "list my favorite Christine songs? That'll be easy"... but it's definitely not.
Christine's "calm inside the storm" contributions to Fleetwood Mac, are often overlooked alongside Stevie and Lindsey's more emotionally intense material, but the fact remains that Christine has written some really terrific songs over the years... and once you start thinking about it, it's easy to come up with far more "favorites" than you may have expected.
The first three I've listed, are definitely my Top 3 favorites, but the rest are in no particular order....
Nights In Estoril
As Long As You Follow
Brown Eyes

It's funny, one song I have yet to warm up to is Oh Daddy, yet often people mention it as a favorite. And I love my Dad lots so it's not because of any junior Fruedian slips.
I don't know if I can pick any all time favorites, it's just impossible because so many of her songs mean a lot to me. I think You Make Loving Fun can be exciting even after having had it around for twenty five years. What a great exuberant song! Not boring at all. Over My Head, Say You Love Me, first two FM songs I went crazy over and can still enjoy them. They take me right back the the 70s, and stale pot smoke and wine bottles after a party I was too young to be part of, and all those songs on KZOK CFUN KISW CFOX and the little transistor radios every kid had. It also makes me think of sunshine and blackberries and roller skates.

The BEAUTIFUL Christine McVie has such a talent, and I love so many of her songs...it all seems effortless and I think anyone would be jealous of her talent and looks!
WHY is definitely my favorite.
ASK ANYBODY is right up there at number 2.
Never Forget and Brown Eyes are wonderful off Tusk.
Wish You Were Here is pretty.
I adore Little Lies, Skies the Limit, and Heart of Stone too.
The Smile I Live For is another I really love.
I love her Christine McVie album and her BTM contributions too. I don't have TIME but I plan on getting it soon, esp after all the glowing reviews!:)
Well how does one stop at only ten favourites? I obviously can't...
1.Oh Daddy
2.Why
3.Over & Over
4.Brown Eyes
5.Songbird
6.Honey Hi
7.Warm Ways
8.Did You Ever Love Me

15.Prove Your Love
16.You Make Lovin' Fun

Honourable mentions must go to:
Think About Me
Show Me A Smile
Isn't It Midnight
Behind The Mask
Little Lies
Heart Of Stone
Nights In Estoril (yes there is one "Time" track I actually dig!)
Also, even though they're not Fleetwood Mac recordings, I just have to mention Christine's rendition of "I'd Rather Go Blind" and her duet with Bob Welch, "Come Softly To Me" on which she sounds simply gorgeous.
I think we all will miss Christine to some degree, but she has left us an impressive body of work that will be forever cherished.
