Is there such thing as a studio version, but not a demo version? I really love this song.

Don't quote me,but i think there is just the demo version, and then the live version from the Dance.

I don't think "sweet girl" is going to be on the new album...this song was not actually "live" on the Dance...According to FM, it was prerecorded...now whether it was done in the studio "live" or with overdubs i'm not exactly sure. Maybe someone else has those details. I know that was the case with "my little demon" as well. I'm not sure about "temporary one" or "bleed to love her".

When plans for the album were originally being finalized, there was talk that it would include three or four new tracks recorded in the studio (such as the Eagles did for 'Hell Freezes Over'), but Fleetwood Mac didn't end up going that route.

"Sweet Girl," "Bleed To Love Her," "Temporary One," and "My Little Demon," were all recorded live during the three concerts that make up the 'Dance' album and video release.

Elements from those three shows may have been overdubbed into the released version, but... to the best of my knowledge... there was no overdubbing with additional instruments in the studio.
(I think the opening of "My Little Demon" was PRE-recorded though.)

The version Stevie included on her 'Enchanted' boxed-set, is as close as we're going to get in regards to a studio version of "Sweet Girl," I imagine.
As it is, I think that version is way better than Fleetwood Mac's somewhat tepid take on it, on 'The Dance.'

They would have to have had some SERIOUSLY scary guy there on the night for it to have been done live...!! lol! So, yes, I think we can safely assume that part was (quite rightly!) pre-recorded!

I'm personally hoping that since this might be a double CD, there will be room for a polished studio version of Sweet Girl. I know they had plenty of songs to work with, but I just hope this gem isn't relegated to just being "that new song by Stevie on the Dance."

Well, Sweet Girl from the actual The Dance is a little mellow compared to the outtake on Enchanted, but one, Stevie's voice sounds much better on The Dance version, and two, Stevie seemed to get into this song a lot more as the tour went on. I have a Dance concert that's not too great of quality, but you just see her back up with the mic (as she does when she's about to let loose) and just starts to fly away with it. At one point, she flips her head so much that she has to toss her head again to get the hair out of her eyes...something I haven't seen her do for a long time. It's really amazing how she looks different from her old self these days, but at some points she looks EXACTLY like younger Stevie.

I LOVE when she does that. It's so rare nowadays but a treat when it happens.

I think that the demo of Sweet Girl is as close as we'll get to a studio version. Personally I think it's a pretty good sounding demo and could be labeled a final version as it is. As for My Little Demon, I think that intro is pre-recorded. I can hear Mick in there. If you listen to his brief speech during the show where he says "yes yes yes," you can hear the similarity to the Demon into, kjind a gruff sound.
