When will this end!?!

I'm so annoyed....I'm sure this has happened to some of you...anyway...


This morning I went into work (I work a country radio station) and the person I was relieving was training a new girl...anyway...Dixie Chick's version of Landslide was on...and I commented on how good it was, and the woman that works here agreed...then I enlightened ;) her with the knowledge of where the song came from...and she said to the new trainee "this is our resident Stevie Nicks fan..." and the new trainee was like, "Oh yeah...I'm a huge Fleetwood Mac fan..." well, of course, I'm excited and I say something else about Stevie and the new girl says..."well you know she's totally into black magic and she's a witch and all that...." well...my excitement deflated right there...

This happens countless numbers of times to me...does this happen to you all as well? I never realized this was such a wide-spread rumour...and it's begining to bug the crap out of me that everyone feels the need to inform me of things like this....ok..just had to vent...

I know! And I of course corrected her with a very polite, "um yeah...those are un-true rumours...she's not a witch"

at which the girl sort of looked at me like I was dumb...and then Dana (the woman that was training the girl) was like, "uh oh...you know...Deanna knows what she's talking about I wouldn't argue" or something like that...hehehe...everyone here already knows not to mess with my Stevie-fan-ness lol...but the worst part is always setting the record straight and then having the person look at you like you're a total moron...

Everyone that finds out i am Stevie fan mentions the godammed witch thing.I am like "Hello,no she is not...that is so not true". And i get this odd look "Like how the hell do you know"? It pisses me off royally..cause i mean basically all i have is my word against what people think,but honestly,if people had half a brain,they would realize that she doesn't exactly possess magical powers and a crystal ball that foresees the future..cause if she did she would have been able to avoid a whole lotta the crap that she went through,lol..not that i even believe in witches anyway..but you figure these knuckleheads would look at it that way..

I once had a random guy I met keep INSISTING that Stevie had a fake nose......that she snorted so much that her real one fell off and that now she has a plastic one. I didn't even bother try to argue this one it was so rediculous. Where do these things start???

OMG..that is HILARIOUS! I've heard some pretty odd Stevie things through my years being a fan...and having random dumb people saying dumb things...but that one is totally new to me...lol...can you imagine...her nose falling off!?! that's awful lol...

I can't stand people that are like "well this person and I don't agree on one certain thing, so I'm going to avoid them all togther and condemn their beliefs...) :mad: Back to Stevie, I was eating at a restaurant with my uncle that had a jukebox and the dance was in it so I played Silver Springs. He said, "Well, THIS songs seams ok. And then when stevie sings "Time casts its spell on you" he goes "SEE! She said "I'll cast a spell on you"! oh brother, lighten up people!!!

Whenever someone says that to me, I sit there and quote inteviews where she said that people that thought she was a witch need to "get a life." Eek..if you're talking about the rumour I think you're talking about (which I don't like to talk about) lol...that one was actually published in a book called "rockstars do the dumbest things" or something like that....crazy stuff....you gotta get a kick out of some rumours and things that end up circulating about celebrities...I just get annoyed at being faced with the same damn one by every person I meet that find out I'm a Stevie fan lol...:rolleyes:

2 weeks ago in Economics class I brought in the Eagles "I cant tell you why" for my teacher, just cuz she LOVES the song...

and the class was talking about old music andd some girl said she likes Styxx...and Ms Lane was like isnt that the band with the woman?? Stevie Nicks? What band is she in? and before i could enlighten her some girl said "FLEETWOOD MAC" and she was like "oh i love her, shes so like witchy and she has some great songs"

so OF COURSE i found out she likes stevie so i went over to her desk to get my cd and we started talking about her...and shes like "Well i think shes a witch, she just has to be...thats so weird, but cool...i just know shes a witch" didnt really upset me but i was like O GOD....lol

And my friend was like last yr. found out i like stevie nicks and hes like "my sister said shes a witch" and of course i say "no shes not" and he tries to tell me i dont know what im talking about cuz HIS SISTER SAID SO...
