Well ok......but why would you want to look or act like anyone else but yourself?? I don't know....I'd be much more confortable being myself than someone else....unless it was Halloween, cause then it is fun to do it for one night :) Otherwise....it gets a little scary....lol. Kinda like Halloween 365 days a year.

YES i do..i don't really talk to her that much anymore....and i don't think she posts here or reads this..but if she does oh well...she is a nice enough person...but WAY too intense with the whole Stevie fandom things..like dressing up as Stevie(not just like in homage..but JUST like her)...dying her hair blonder than what it was, because she thought if she did that Stevie would notice ehr and like her at concerts...hmm..let's see she moved to AZ for school cause Stevie lives there..she like stalked Stevie's brother at the Sun Theater shows..she ended up in his trailer and he faxed Stevie a letter she wrote...she made a book for Stevie...the list goes on....I am at work so i don't have time to get into it more now..but anyway it totally freaked me out....I mean it is one thing to dress up maybe for a concert...even though i don't even do that...but there is a line..and this chic is MILES past it...

I saw one of those young "ladies" dressed in black chiffon & boots at the Sun. She was pushing people around belligerently, & was generally making a nuisance of herself.
I attributed it to either bipolar disorder or a bite of a bad 'shroom.

I'm reminded of the old saying, Live And Let Live.
Dressing like Stevie (or any other celebrity) might not be something you or I would want to do, but not everyone feels that way.
So as long as someone isn't hurting themselves or others, then let them live their life the way they see fit.

Johnny Stew~ live and let live is seriously one of my favorite sayings... and i'm not criticizing this girl for dressing up to look like stevie- i'm just saying that she was over the top in craziness!! at one point she was running around to the back of the building in one direction and yelling over her shoulder frantically to get some guy she was with to go around the other side to make sure stevie didn't get away before the girl could see her or something... harrassing chris nicks "YOU GOTTA GET ME BACKSTAGE!! YOU SAID BEFORE THE SHOW THAT YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO! YOU GOTTA!!! YOU GOTTA!" she was just freaky...
i heard that when she ran up to the stage for EO17 that she was pushing peole out of her way and stevie looked at her and said "no, i know who you are, you need to go away from me"

jess that actually happened??! oh now that is just crazy! how dare she torment stevie like that!? and for stevie to actually say, "no i know who you are, you need to go away from me" is a damn shame! i swear, if you ever point her out to me, or if i see someone doing that at a show, i'll confront them! how dare they? that's just psycho! you should not treat ppl that way! yeah she's stevie nicks, but she is a human being too!!!! :distress: damn, i just hate freaky stalkers! going to ppl houses and asking for autographs! sneaking on property! scaring the children! omg!

I remember that...and i also remember that this girl refused to beleive it was aimed at her.I was like "ok hon,you are the only freak around here,so get a clue". The odd thing is(maybe this is part of her psychosis),is that she would go through periods where she HATED Stevie...and then all of a sudden, there she was again, paying $500 for tickets and stalking the poor woman to death.I'm so glad i don't see or talk to her anymore, but if i do you can bet i am gonna run the other way.

yeah seriously.... that girl really creeped me out... also i remember after the concert a bunch of us went around to the back of the building to watch her leave and wave to her and stuff... and that girl was leaning up against the little gate thingy with her hands held like she was praying .... hands against her mouth and she was STARING at the door stevie was going to be coming out of like she was casting a spell or something... she had this really intense almost evil psychotic glare on her face focusing only on the door in complete silence.... it was weird.. and freaky....

I know you shouldn't make fun of freaky people who may really have a problem, but she does sound like she is teetering very close to stalker status, especially if Stevie knew who she was!
How embarassing, well.. for a normal person, anyway! lol!Stevie's brother Chris probably told her about the girl and how whacked she is.
I just gotta laugh at that!

Ty, it came from one of those article clips we were passing around on our nasty little renegade rebel e-mail group, remember? Angela found a ton of killer clips and forwrded them to everybody.
It was a 97 one, right before the tour started, but after the taping of the video....LA Times, I think.

yeah totally... i stood about 15 feet to the girl's left and sort of watched her for a little bit... my bf and i were making fun of her a bit.... but yeah you are right she seemed like she felt she was entitled to meet stevie... and after stevie came out and waved and got in the car and left freak girl had the strangest look on her face... and took off running after the car!!! there were a few other people who did too... but this girl was bound and determined to catch the car or something... hell i don't know what she thought she was going to do- jump onto the back or something? i don't know what happened after that cause my bf and i started back to our car...

The freakiest thing I saw at the TISL shows I went to was at the Merriweather show in MD. My friends and I had waited in the back of the arena to see if we could see Stevie's car/bus leave. There were some other people who were back there waiting in their pickup truck. Before long Stevie's limo did come out the gate and we when we waved, she stuck her hand out and waved back. As soon as the car passed the truck with the people in it, it pulled out and sped off behind her, with a girl hanging out the window waving a Stevie sign and screaming.
I guess they were planning to follow her to the airport or her hotel? I thought that was so scary...if the driver felt he had to evade these people who were CHASING them, it could have caused a crazy accident or something. My god, the woman deserves some privacy too!
I guess some people don't realize it when they cross the line between an offbeat fascination/adoration and scary obsessive stalking!

Oh my, that is bad!
The whole Princess Diana wreck just flashed into my mind when I read that.
That is so unsafe. I hope nobody does that again. What do they hope to gain from that sort of stuff? I mean, isn't seeing the show enough? After a show I am so pumped up, but you know when it's over, it's over....
Just go hang with your buds or something, geez.

Stevie Nicks Obtains Restraining Order Against Fan
Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks was granted a restraining order Tuesday against a Denver mental patient who allegedly believes that she is a witch who can cure him of his homosexuality. L.A. Superior Court Commissioner James
Endman's order came after a request filed Monday by an attorney for the 50-year-old rock icon. It bars the alleged fan, Ronald Anacelteo, 38, from all concerts, venues or recording studios where Nicks is present, as well as from her home. According to court documents, Anacelteo is a "self-proclaimed homosexual [who] believes that Ms. Nicks possesses a spiritual healing power that will enable him to get along with others and find a woman to marry. He believes that Ms. Nicks is a witch who possesses the power to heal him. He believes that he will be able to absorb this spiritual power if he is able to get close to her."
When asked about Stevie says (HX Magazine)
Interviewer:I read that a few years ago you had a gay stalker in Denver who believed you could cure his homosexuality.
Stevie:I never heard that one. [Laughs.]
Well, I am sure there is more stuff out there, but I am tired...I want to go to bed...good night!

One that comes to mind - I met her at a FM convention about 10 years ago - she now makes her own Stevie t-shirts and stuff and sells them on ebay. Anyway, at the convention, the had the Stevie look down pretty good, except she was wearing flat sandals, that looked like something I wore in the 4th grade. When people were complimenting her on her outfit or whatever, it was like she actually thought she WAS Stevie, she was bowing and grabbing people's hands and totally acting like Stevie, it was just too weird. I won't buy any of her ebay crap either...
I also once saw someone crying their eyes out, on their hands and knees, BEGGING a security guard to let them in the pit. Scary....

I hardly ever post here but had to comment on this one. I totally know who you guys are talking about! I was at the Boston show and caught her crying hysterically after the stage rush. At first I thought it was kind of cute and said something to her along the lines of "I know" - although I've never gotten THAT emotional, I admit to shedding a tear or two during Landslide. Anyway, she screamed at me, "No you don't know!" and then tried to push my friend out of her way, since she apparently coveted her spot near the stage. I also saw her total meltdown afterwards, which was sooo freaky. I think (not entirely sure), this might have been the same girl I saw when camping out for tix before the Enchanted Store. If it's her, from what I remember, she had all this weird Stevie related stuff, seemed like she was trying to emulate her, and had a very entitled attitude towards those who had a better place in line. This behavior is so concerning - if people like this are that emotionally fragile what else would they resort to?
