You know....I am not sure I have ever listened to Stevie when I am drunk, b/c I am usually somewhere where it would never be playing I guess....but it does happen to me sometimes on long road trips by myself :) I cannot tell a lie.

This has happend to me a few times...one time i had waaay to much to drink and a friend was driving me home and Landslide came on and i just started sobbing...like hysterically crying..everyone in the car thought i was nuts...one of my other friends(who was also very drunk) was like "Dude, this is that band with the people with the screwed up names..the dude is named Lindsey and the girl is Stevie..and this is the song...about the snow covered hills...she's crying about the song about the snow covered hills".I just sorta looked at him like "yea"..and kept crying, lol.

Hmm... I'm not sure if I should confess this, but a friend (who also likes Stevie) and I were listening to Trouble In Shangri-La when we were stoned (and had also downed a bottle of wine earlier in the evening), and we both started sobbing, LOL! We'd both just ended relationships or whatever... oh, it was pathetic... but then, we are pathetic at times.

( :distress: it's just so sad isn't it?)

i'm glad to see i'm not the only one. what is it about stevie's music that does that to us? is it because we're experiencing the same feelings that she was because she was a little tipsy or totally stoned at the time she wrote it? (not saying that she was all the time, but you know what i mean) what do you guys think?

You know, I wonder sometimes which songs were written while "under the influence" I mean....I know that I've written many a poem/journal entry while in altered states...so that is something I wonder....

I think maybe we, as people, are just more vulnerable when we're in altered states...I am usually a very happy drunk lol...but if something I encounter is less than happy...it affects me way more than it would if I were sober....so I have stopped listening or even suggesting listening to Stevie while drunk...hehehe

This is one of the reasons why I stopped drinking. There's no telling if I'll be a happy drunk or a weeping retard on any given drinking session. Even with people, I'll turn on the waterworks (rather loudly, too).

Well, I don't ever cry when I am drunk because I am such a happy drunk. But when I drink, everyone gets freaked out cause all I do is walk around singing, usually Stevie songs, heh. Unfortunately at the present time I am unable to drink because of the medication I am on, but when and if I ever do get drunk again, you can be sure I'm gonna be singing Stevie for a while. :wavey:

I think I'm the happiest drunk in the world!:] (Which is what I'm going to do tonight, because my b-day is Tuesday!!)

But, don't let me be in one of those "Stevie rules the universe" moods and listen to her alone. I am a real mess!
